From Potter to Bond, Outer Space, and the House that Dragons Built... Prolific costume designer Jany Temime has shaped the look and feel of some of the most unforgettable films and series of the 21st century, from the "Harry Potter" saga to "Skyfall," "Gravity," "Judy," and "House of the Dragon." At the 2025 SCAD Lacoste Film Festival, Temime received the SCAD Étoile Award for Costume Design and joined SCAD President and Founder Paula Wallace for today's conversation. Riding the Horizon… For forty years, 2024 SCAD Savannah Film Festival Legend of Cinema Award honoree Kevin Costner has scaled the tallest heights of film and television and is still actively exploring and innovating in his fiercely independent career. He’s a true maverick who is returning to the saddle in the Old West with “Horizon: An American Saga,” a multi-chapter epic that is pure Costner through and through.

In Service to the Story... Admired across stage and screen for his decades of singular talent, Colman Domingo follows his tour de force performance in “Rustin” with another essential true story: “Sing Sing.” The film spotlights the Rehabilitation Through the Arts program, renowned for its enduring effectiveness. When I Come Back, You’ll Know, Know, Know… From her years as one of the Young British Artists who took the contemporary art scene by storm to her achievements as a filmmaker, Sam Taylor-Johnson is a leading lady and her stage is the viewfinder. Her films have tackled historic names and bestsellers, including “Nowhere Boy,” “A Million Little Pieces,” and “Fifty Shades of Grey.” This year, Taylor-Johnson returned to cinemas worldwide with the long-awaited Amy Winehouse biopic “Back to Black” — a stunning look into the life and artistry of one of the 21st century’s most extraordinary musicians.

No Sad Colors… During SCADstyle 2024, history was made when the fashion house Carolina Herrera received its second SCAD Etoile Award. In 2016, Paula Wallace presented the award to Carolina herself, and in the Spring, her creative director successor, Wes Gordon, continued the brand’s award-laden legacy. Wes and Paula reunited to discuss Gordon’s leadership of the beloved heritage brand, his celebrative book "Colormania," and the modern business of fashion.

A Match Made in Marni... In 2016, Francesco Risso became creative director of one of fashion's most beloved brands: Marni. Under his leadership, Marni soared to new heights and unbridled creativity under the "Marnifesto" and the Virginia Woolf saying "Bring no clothes." In 2024, Risso was a special guest at SCADstyle, an annual celebration of transformative design culture and dialogue through immersive experiences and dynamic conversations with style industry visionaries.

Let the Games Begin... Tune in to hear from Rene Celestin, the founding partner behind The Banner, the creative agency group producing the 2024 Paris Summer Olympic Games opening and closing ceremonies. This year's opening will feature a flotilla down the Seine, and all of Paris will form the stage.
