We got him hooked on JUMPY'S! Lewis MacRae, vocalist of UK-based metalcore four-piece RITUALS joined us in the podcast van for a hilarious episode which is all about the snacks!!! Right after touching down in Austria for their short tour alongside UP CLOSE, the guys visited the Arnold Schwarzenegger Museum (where Conni might or might not touched Arnie's d*ck..) and took a deep dive into Austrian culture. If you want to know more about Lewis' scottish heritage and his family castle (?!) or the bands biggest highlight so far: playing Download Festival this summer, listen to this brand new episode!

We love this woman.  Funny, smart and the voice of an angel. It’s PÄM!!  She started out as a merchandise manager for TURBOBIER and now she is building her career as a singer and songwriter, while working a day job and using her social media platform to inspire women and encourage them to be who they are.  Nothing can stop her... not even almost freezing to death while trying to pee and falling into a river in Switzerland?  Keep an eye out for this one because PÄM has big plans.
Spoiler alert: this episode features a really cute dog, so we highly recommend watching it :D It's all about STRESS! Running his own (stress-)studio, working as a tourmanager for SEILER & SPEER, mixing shows for bands like BOYSETSFIRE or touring as a guitarist with his own Punk Rock band ANTIMANIAX.. TOM ZWANZGER never takes a break! Check out this mildly stressful but super funny episode with our whirlwind of a friend Tom and his dog Panzer.
This guy is CRACKING us up. Pun intended. This year Mike and his band DeeCRACKS will celebrate 20 years of punk rock history with a big festival at Arena Vienna. (Nov 17th & 18th 2023) ...and it was quite the journey. Including eleven different bassists (Vicky already put in her application to be number twelve). From being banned from the United States of America for a lifetime to making it big in Japan and how their approach has changed over the years - don't miss this super funny episode :)
This episode is HOT!!  ..and not only because of the people in it!  While building his hot sauce empire „TOM’S HOT STUFF“, Tommy Hlatky also drums in various punk rock bands like DEADENDS and A GUY NAMED LOU. His stories about touring in Japan are hilarious!Have you ever heard about an OWL CAFÈ? (..and even better, a HIGHLAND COW CAFÈ?)    Listen and find out more!
Is there a better place to record the first episode of season 2 than under the Italian sun in MILAN? And is there a better guest than DAVID BAQI, touring guitarist of Being as An Ocean and vocalist in Takers Leavers? Both times the answer is NO. We had such a great time chatting about moving tour memories and the importance of being a 'clutch' player in this industry. Oh and if you want to hear the story of how Conni almost died while sleeping in a Minitours van this summer (with THE SAME driver that David was touring with when we recorded this episode.. small world) TUNE IN!!!
Every hard'n'heavy music fan worth their salt will know the genre's legendary vocalist: George Fisher aka "Corpsegrinder" - frontman of American death metal giants Cannibal Corpse! Once again we rolled up to our beloved out of home makeshift studio at Arena Vienna, smashed some snacks and drinks and shared some truly unfiltered real talk with George "The Neck" himself. Are you ready? This is what we've got in stores for you: -Why touring is NOT a piece of cake. "Get a real job" - George -Audacious five finger discounts AKA Watch your sh*t (even backstage) -Censored songs and how to play them live anyway -Disneyland and Santa Claus (Wait. What?) Have Fun listening to our last episode of season 1 and make sure to leave a 5* review! <3
After the severe weather unfortunately ruined their scheduled show at Nova Rock Festival 2022, the Austrian audience was even hotter to finally see DON BROCO live in concert at Arena Vienna! The Bands drummer Matt (and their Tour Manager Alec) met with us to try out our newly discovered beep-button while talking (and swearing) about.. ..the full story behind the bands name! (Don Loco, Don Bronco, Don Broco??) ..a literally "sick" Fan moment after partying with the band Four Years Strong. and lots and lots of other hilarious stories you most likely haven't heard before!  This was also the first time a guest used a „telephone joker“ on this podcast. Have fun with Episode 19 of ONTHEROADCAST - listen on Spotify and APPLEMUSIC!

Whip out your hairspray and black eyeliner. It's Emo time!  Time traveling to some point in the early 2000s with our friend Sandy, guitarist for girl-power-vulva-rock band Vulvarine.  Emo culture, My Chemical Romance, from first to last, MySpace, snake bites, bangs and heavy make up are some of the hottest topics (pun intended) three former Emo girls could discuss. Besides unveiling our deepest darkest secrets from the past and guilty pleasures we can't get rid off, we've got some more funny, crazy and weird stories about life on tour.  Want to enjoy your favorite podcast and music in best audio quality or step up your studio game? ..some people are real naturals! Can you believe this was our guests first take on a podcast? Making time before a sold-out headliner show in Vienna, Dan Brown, guitarist and songwriter for Australian metalcore giants The Amity Affliction got comfy on our pop up studio's sofa at Vienna's SimmCity for a sizzling hot new episode of OTRC. Get ready for these gems: - which one of musical history's biggest pop stars (hint: her first name starts with M) took a dump in Bowling for Soups coach bus toilet at  Warped Tour. -why you should be careful when taking pics with fans teddy bears.. (how taking pics with a fans teddy bear can take a very very very wild and devastating turn)  -our shared (and slightly questionable) passion for taxidermy. Beaver pen**es and stuffed pets, anyone?  As you already know, we've got the sauciest tour stories from awesome, to sad and/or simply nuts! Hold up... Nuts? Could that be a hint to one of our next podcast guest?
Today's guest proves that drummers must be masters of timing - not only musically. There's no other way if you want to pull off being an A1 drummer, host of the ,bummzack-podcast’ actor, beer brewer and dad of three at the same time! What a treat for us to share some cold ones, snacks and stories with Madsen' s drum crack Sascha Madsen himself. Looking back on 19 (!) successful years of band history, our guest had plenty of details to share. We're covering topics like professionally working with siblings, playing Germany's biggest festivals (such as Hurricane festival Southside, Rock im Park, Rock am Ring), personal milestones, touring the United States of America as a band performing songs with german lyric. Apparently without any travelling drama abd accident free, managing to get up on time every morning - Wait! Is that really a thing? Of course we didn't forget to cover Sascha's favorite road song and snack (vegans and veggie lovers - this one's for you!) and ask about future plans for his band Madsen. Also: If you want to know which superstar tossed Vickys bra back to her after she threw it on stage (and shattered her young and innocent heart by that) give this episode a listen on Apple Music or Spotify and don't forget to show some love by leaving a 5* review!
First of all - NO Austrian Audio gear was used when recording this podcast - unfortunately! It was captured across two continents - with our phones - and a 7h time difference - so this episode is somewhat special. (and has pretty bad audio quality. sorry for that.) Our guest Kenny joined in all the way from Arizona - just like Vicky, who is visiting him there at the moment. Kenny has been on the road for over 15 years. He is the brain behind all the logistics and sales concerning merch for bands like Cannibal Corpse and he is also the TM assistant for Flogging Molly and touring the major part of the year! He‘s the also biggest Christmas nerd and his tour bus decorations make most family homes look like prison cells 🎄 And talking about tour busses: Kenny has quite the crazy story about an accident that happened many years back.
Bottoms up! Heavily buzzed on a shazillion shots of @jagermeister_at we're diving deep into the musical production world with the amazing singer/dancer/performer Betty Schurek (IG: @bettina_schurek), who has been starring in shows like "Grease", "Mamma Mia" and many more.Musical productions on the road are all about the glitz, glam and luxurious aspects of the touring industry, right?  WE BEG TO DIFFER! Get ready for booze fueled insider talks about what's really going on behind closed stage curtains. Crazy fans, performers puking on each other, flooded hotel bathrooms, sex, drugs  & drama big time. Welcome to the real world of musicals! ______ Want to enjoy your favorite podcast and music in best audio quality or step up your studio game? Guitar and bass aficionado, tech crack, tour vet and former pro-Zamboni-driver Dakotah Cole spends incredible eight to nine months a year touring! While working on the road he's keeping bands like Halestorm, Flogging Molly, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Lagwagon, Asking Alexandria, Of Mice & Men, Hanson and many others stringed gear in mint condition 24/7. From becoming a dad, withstanding the sometimes unhealthy lifestyle that comes with the industry and overcoming personal hardships linked to it, to spontaneously taking unadvised minors for a joyride - this episode covers it all and might really be the craziest we've done so far! P.S.: no git tech's arms were twisted during the recording of this podcast.
In this episode we welcome Tito Picon - all the way from Texas, where, according to him, they have some of the best burritos in the world! He‘s been working as a tourmanager for over 25 years and he‘s also a self-taught and really amazing light designer. You can find him on the road with bands like Darkest Hour and Suicide Silence. This episode is filled with poop stories (even more than usual) and gives a pretty good overview of the differences between tour- and production management ☺️ We also talk about celebrity lookalikes (sorry Vicky!) and about the moments we knew that being part of the music touring world was our calling.
..when two worlds collide.. freestyle mountain biking and music touring!  We loved having Daniel and Elias, also known als the RUSO BROS on our podcast! ❤  These two dudes are on the road for about 6 months every year, riding freestyle shows like Masters of Dirt or at music festivals all over the world. It is the longest episode so far, but we could have gone on foreeeever. From being robbed in Italy, to almost losing legs, to spontaneously flying overseas with a shitload of gear, to our favorite memes - there were tons of super interesting topics! Our biggest takeaway - music is actually a huge part of their freeriding world - check out the episode to find out more!
Happy Halloween - Listen up it's getting spooky!! (& maybe you'll pee your pants of laughing just like we did recording this absolute gem of a podcast episode)  We welcomed Dead Richy Gein - Singer and Frontman of BLOODSUCKING ZOMBIES FROM OUTER SPACE! Your favorite new Horror- and Halloween Shock Rock Band!! Richy gave some insight on all the creativity and work that flows into running a special like the Zombies. And told us some weird ass stories about serial killers.
Welcome to our dear friend Engel Mayr!!! He‘s not only the guitar player of Russkaja and has his own⚡️ HEAVY METAL BLUES ⚡️band - he’s also producing, recording and mixing music in his own studio! (& he‘s the one who created our awesome Podcast-Intro) Do you want to know what happens when you accidentally snack on brownies with 400€ worth of weed in it? You’ll find the answer to that question on out podcast as well as a million Limp Bizkit references.
