Big Blue Victory! Tyrod Taylor played a clean game, and allowed the Giants Defense to put together another impressive performance. Sam Howell was under siege for much of the game, with Dexter Lawrence, Leonard Williams and Kayvon Thibodeux meeting at the QB frequently.
To go along with Bobby Okereke and Micah McFadden's strong contributions, the guys have to acknowldege Wink Martindale finally has his unit meeting expectations.
It was by no means a perfect game, and yet with several pass connections over 20 yards, and improved O'Line play, it at least opens the door for a discussion on what could still be an entertaining season for Big Blue.

The Giants played as if they never knew the season started on September 10th. Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys had their way with the Offensive Line, moved the ball with ease, and showed their clear superiority over Big Blue.
Evan Neal was supposed to take a step forward this season, and that does not look tthe case. Mark Glowinski is supposed to be a consistent veteran, but appears to be anything but.
thE Offensive line play will get all the spoltlight but Adam also notes the clean and effortless pocket from which Dak Prescott operated all game long and why there is cause for concern in all three phases.

The guys rundown the opening week depth chart with a few fun surprises, including a lack of defined Slot Receiver. Ben Bredeson, for all the bouncing around, claimed the starting RG spot and Adam and Andy look at what that could mean long term this year with Ezuedu, Lemieux and Peart locking into depth roles across the line.
Eric Gray certainly impressed in camp but his primary role will start on Special Teams as Gary Brightwell remains ahead of the rookie in the RB room.
Adam as always is excited to see young talent in expanding roles, making Gervarious Owens and Dane Belton in primary backup Safety spots an exciting prospect for the Sunday Night tilt with Dallas.
The guys close out with. anote on Daniel Jones and thee Dallas Cowboys matchup. I t has not been a favorable one for the franchise QB, or the team overe the past few years. While a season is never one or lost on opening night, with record predictions in hand - it certainly feels like this as big a game Big Blue could have to kick off a heavily hyped season!

Adam welcomes in Coach Edd Gladney to help breakdown the skillset and development of two key Big Blue linemen. It is an excellent deep dive into how these fit the mold for Big Blue and hopefully fit the answer to the question: How does New York beat Dallas?
Evan Neal enters year two with plenty to prove, and will be put right into the fire, matching up with DeMarcus Lawrence and the Dallas Cowboys in week one.
Coach Edd highlights the areas where Neal struggled in his rookie season, and how the improved weight and technique this offseason should put him on the path to a strong sophomore campaign. John Michael Schmitz Jr. may be just a rookie, but coming out as a "plug and play" prospect has Adam setting the immediate high bar. They discuss not only JMS ability to anchor the center position but also situational football that could dictate how and when the rookie is asked to pull and become a lead blocker in the running game.

Andrew Thomas is not going anywhere! Adam and Andy discuss the newly minted man as Joe Schoen and the Giants commit $117m over the next five years with $67m guaranteed.
The follow up with a lengthier discussion on Saquon Barkley and the re-worked tag that allows him to make more money on incentives, and most importantly for Big Blue, get into to camp immediately this summer.

The NFL combine will bring the college prospects front and center as all 32 teams seek to improve their roster with young talent through the NFL Draft.
Joe Schoen met with the media and seem to provide a somewhat cryptic update on the Daniel Jones contract. We have know heard the the QB will be Giant, is wanted as a Giant and that the team and representatives are still far apart on money. The bottom line is taking these negotiations to the final hour is only limited the GM from giving is undivided attention to the upcoming Free Agents and the Draft class.
Jalen Ramsey and the Rams are seeking to part ways, could the Giants be in the mix? At first blush the $25m total cap hit is steep, but with an out following the upcoming season if the trade price is right he would be a game changer for Wink Martindale's defense.
Lastly, B Ojulari has expressed a desire to reunite with big brother Azeez in New York. The guys discuss the fit, if the Giants are in a position to draft him and how the they each see the NFL board shaping up for the Giants from a need and value standpoint.

Adam discusses the $44 million dollars in ca space that Joe Schoen will have to work with this off-season to improve the Giants roster. In just two quick potential moves, the contracts of Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley will eat up nearly all of that space.
There are glaring decisions on the roster from Leonard Williams $32m dollar cap hit, and the Dave Gettleman hold-over mistake Kenny Golladay who occupies a 2023 salary of $21m
Adjusting, releasing or trading these two players would give the Giants significant financial wiggle room. That matters, because as Adam highlights there are a minimum of four starting roles on both offense and defense that must be upgraded to put Big Blue in a position to complete next season.
