1) If a person didn’t make ברכות התורה before davening, you could have kavana to fill your חיוב during the bracha of אהבה רבה before שמע ❤️📖-However, immediately after Tefillah, you must learn Torah 👇🏻2) One bracha works for the entire day because a Jew naturally always wants to learn every moment that he can, so he is never מסיח דעת from his original bracha (exceptions in the next Halacha) 🌅 ➡️ 😴
You need to learn Torah immediately after making the bracha on learning torah 📚 -Thats why we say “יברכך”… which are the Pesukim of Birkas Kohanim, and both of the אלו דברים which are Mishna and Gemara immediately afterwards so that we learn מקרא, משנה, וגמרא connected to our bracha 🫴🏻
1) Very strict to not learn תורה for the sake of learning תורה before saying ברכות התורה 📚🙏 2) Sfardim say “על דברי תורה”; while Ashkenazim say “לעסוק בדברי תורה” and then continue on and say “והערב נא” followed by אשר בחר בנו״👨🏽👨🏻 -Don’t say אמן after you hear someone the words “לעסוק בדברי תורה” even though it sounds like the conclusion of the bracha because the bracha continutes
1) You have to be extremely careful with ברכות התורה ⚠️ -many rishonim say that ברכות התורה is דאורייתא 🌄 -Gemara says that one of the reasons the בית המקדש was destroyed was because showed a lack of כבוד to the תורה by being lax in ברכות התורה🫡 2) Have to say ברכות התורה with a sense of שמחה 😁😁 that Hashem gives us the ability to learn torah 3) One must say ברכות התורה before starting learning for the day, no matter what you’re learning 📚
1) The bracha of אלקי נשמה and “המעביר שנה מעיני” shouldn’t be said by someone who was up all night ❌😴 -Rather, he should have someone else say the bracha for and him he should have in mind to be יוצא through him 🫵🏻 -Because, they are Brachos specified to YOU as an individual and therefore you can’t say them if they don’t currently apply to you
Very important to say ברכות השחר at the proper time which is before you daven 🙏🙏🙏 WHY? One reason is Because anyone who benefits from anything in this world without a bracha, it’s as if he stole from Hashem and is being מעל, taking personal benefit from הקדש🌎🥷🏻 So we cover all our bases as soon as possible!
1) Right before you enter the shul, you should PAUSE ⏸️ take a deep breath and say “בבית אלו-הים נהלך ברגש”, which means “Into the house of G-d I’m going to enter with feeling and awe” and show that you are entering with a sense of יראה 🏠 2) Then, as you walk into the shul, you should say “ואני ברוב חסדך אבוא ביתך אשתחוה אל היכך קדשך ביראתך” and bow a little as you say this towards the Aron Kodesh👣 3) Before you daven you should take upon yourself the מצוה of ואהבת לרעך כמך- to love every Jew- this joins your tefillah with all the zechus of all Jews and your tefillah will heard even stronger! ❤️
1) Immediately after saying אשר יצר, a person should do his best to say אלקי נשמה after 🔥 2) The order these brachos should be said is: first you say אשר יצר, then אלקי נשמה and then ברכות התורה ✅
1) Start saying on the 7th of חשון in Israel and 60 days after the fall equinox in חוץ לארץ 🍁 2) If you forget to say “ותן טל ומטר”… 🤷‍♂️ -if your still in the bracha of ברך עלינו, go back to words ותן טל and continue from there 💰 -if you finished the bracha of ברך עלינו, you could say the words ותן טל ומטר לברכה before you say “כי אתה שומע” in שמע קולנו 🙏 -if you finished שמע קולנו, you could say the words right before רצה -After רצה if you then remeber, you have to go back to the beginning of ברך עלינו and continue from there -If you have finished your שמנה עשרה and said the second יהיו לרצון אמרי פי you have to go back to the beginning and repeat 🔁
) You SHOULD NOT ❌ wash WITH A BRACHA after waking up from a nap during the day🥱 2) You SHOULD ✔️ wash 3 times on each hand due to a possibility of רוח רע 💧 -Not clear how much sleep you need to get to make it that you need to wash during a daytime nap. However, many poskim say half hour 🕡 -One should always be careful to wash regardless because it’s not difficult in todays times 🙂
Q: What should you do if you stay up all night in terms of נטילת ידים? 🌤️🌒 A: You still should wash your hands because: 1) you are considered a brand new creation 2) you have a רוח רע 🆕 -BUT, in order to be able to make a bracha, you should go to the bathroom first 🧻 because the first 2 reasons don’t constitute a bracha
1) ORDER OF EVENTS IN THE MORNING 🥇Say מודה אני 🌞 🥈 Wash your hands 3 times immediately to rid the רוח רע 💦 🥉Use the bathroom 🚽 4️⃣ Wash your hands again 3 times 💦 5️⃣ Say על נטילת ידים on the second washing (Outside the bathroom) 🤲🏻 6️⃣ Say אשר יצר 😷 2) Its important to brush your teeth in the morning and/or rinse your mouth, because you are going to be saying words of קדושה in davening/learning so they shouldn’t be smelly and filled with bad breath 🪥
1) You CANT have a conversation in the bathroom 🚫💬 -Why? Because you may talk about Torah or say Hashem’s name and it’s not a modest thing to speak In a bathroom -If you NEED to have a conversation, you can as long as you’re not actively using the bathroom 2) You CANT think about Torah in the bathroom 🚫💭
1) If you forget to make an אשר יצר but you have to use the bathroom again, you make 1 bracha of אשר יצר with both in mind 🚽 🙏🏻 2) If someone is having stomach issues for example and constantly has to go to the bathroom, you can’t say אשר יצר unless there is a moment where you don’t need to use the bathroom 🧻
1) Shulchan Aruch says that even if just make one droplet of urine you have to say אשר יצר 💧 2) There is no time limit to say אשר יצר ❌⏱️ -However, you can only say it as long as you don’t have to go to the bathroom again ✖️🚽
1) If you say “מוריד הטל” instead of “משיב הרוח”, you’ve fulfilled your obligation, and you don’t need to go back 🌧️☂️ 2) You could sit down and say the words “משיב הרוח ומוריד הגשם” one hundred 💯 times in a row. Than, you could assume that you are used to saying those words, and if you aren’t sure whether or not you said it you can assume that you did
1) If a person forgot to say משיב הרוח…🌧️☔️ ▪️ If your still in the bracha of מחיה המתים ▶️ go back to the words משיב הרוח and continue from there ▪️If you finished the bracha of מחיה המתים, but have still not the word “אתה” of אתה קדוש ▶️ say משיב הרוח right there ▪️If you already started אתה קדוש ▶️ you need to start from the beginning of שמנה עשרה -because the first three brachas of שמנה עשרה are all considered like one 2) If you don’t know whether or not you said משיב הרוח…🤷‍♂️ ▪️If its within 30 days of when the ציבור started saying משיב הרוח, you have to repeat 🔁 ▪️If its been over 30 days you could assume you said it
It’s very important to have kavana when you say אשר יצר, so DONT RUSH through it 🚽 -it’s a bracha and a tefillah that encompasses all of a persons health, not just the ability to use the bathroom
Way the name י-ה-ו-ה is pronounced: 🗣️ ‎א-ד-נ-י= NAME AS PRONOUNCED- When you say the name of Hashem as pronounced (AH-DOH-NAI) , have in mind that ה is the אדון הכל (master of all in the world and beyond) 👑 ‎י-ה-ו-ה= NAME AS WRITTEN- ❌NEVER try to read the name as it’s written, it is COMPLETELY ASSUR!!! But the kavana of these letters is “He was, He is, He will be” which you should THINK as you read the name as (AH-DOH-NAI) ✅The Vilna Gaon says you only have to focus on the kavana א-ד-נ-י, which is “אדון הכל“ in general Brachos, so don’t worry about both kavanos if it’s too hard
If you scratch your scalp, you need to wash your hands 💆🏻‍♂️ -this is only if you SCRATCH (not just touch) the part under your kippa 🤌 -if you scratch or touch any other part of your head than you are fine 🫨 -if you are learning than you should wipe your hands on the table or with a cloth, but if your davening you ideally should wash 💦
