Classical music composers throughout time have envied Beethoven’s output — and the fact that his ninth symphony, with “Ode To Joy,” was such a juggernaut. But there’s an old superstition about composing ninth and tenth symphonies in Beethoven’s wake… and there’ve been enough deaths involved that the prospect of a curse is worth considering. Laurah’s out sick; please enjoy a re-release of one of our favorite episodes.  A Washington man named Jason Padgett loved partying, muscle cars, and getting buff at the local gym, and would have been content to live his life singing karaoke and chasing girls--until a fateful attack changed his worldview. . . quite literally. When he woke up the next day after receiving serious blows to the head, Jason realized that he could see things that others couldn’t. my first listen... can the narrator just speak in a normal cadence? kinda robot-like mixed with creepiness. it's just hard to listen as the narratation just doesn't sound like a normal conversation. makes it hard to enjoy listening.

Like this podcast. But sounds like the host is doing a Phoebe Judge impersonation.

I've traveled Rt 666 a few times and possibly stole a HWY 666 sign in the middle of nowhere on one of those trips. I think they have changed the number. I'll check when I go back to Durango in September.

lol what dog fanatic cat hater wrote this? dogs maul people for no reason. cats are sweethearts and you'd actually HEAR something if you listened to THEIR thoughts 😂 Major red flag: someone who thinks cats are evil and snarling hell beasts aren't.

Very nice story......This is your Show. Play music if you want. Some people live to bash others dreams and voice their opinion without being asked.

I can't stand when hosts interject personal views into a podcast, it's not about you - and Pepsi is better than coke.
