Description

Hi hotties! My name is Varshini and my podcast "One for You / One for Me" is a series of conversations with friends, family, and people I admire. Sometimes it's also just me ranting because I am the embodiment of "strong opinions, loosely held." My whole reason for starting this podcast is to just have fun - a huge motivating factor in the way I live my life (from my outfits, to my hair, makeup, and the plane tickets I DM my friends at all hours of the day). Each episode will typically culminate with my guest and I exchanging pieces of advice because I am so into self growth and improvement, it's like kind of a problem (no seriously....but more on that later). I hope you enjoy! Love you lots, xoxo byeee

This episode is the product of frenetic zoom call with my wonderful pals, Isha and Lindsey. We discuss Indian Matchmaking and use it as a jumping off point to discuss the many many many (many…etc x 100) pitfalls of relationships as whole, men, and how we cannot think of a single relationship in our lives that we would like to emulate (except my parents xoxo). Isha and Lindsey get on my back for continually being surprised about men and their communities and Lindsey and I roast Isha about her not-boyfriend Boyfriend. It’s a long convo that we hope will make you smile and keep you company as you do your dishes, sanitize your groceries, or help you stave off meeting someone from an app who is lying about their Covid test results. Make good choices and stay healthy! Hope you enjoy! Love you lots.
This episode is with the GOAT herself, Hottie Malladi who hails from Alabama. We discuss the world of Model UN which is extremely niche content that is uncomfortably dear to the hearts of an extremely specific group of people. We argue that accurate MUN representation may be more important than any other kind of representation and how our teen angst manifested itself. We give thanks and praise to “Never Have I Ever” and discuss arranged marriages (“Indian Matchmaking” hadn’t even come out yet! We *literally* predicted the future!!). I give Maunica “great” online dating advice and we give ourselves a big pat on the back because we are just so pleased with ourselves. Hope you enjoy! Love you lots <3
E8 Live Wood & Lava Lamps! This podcast w one of my favs @tarapichumani is all about design and aesthetic. If you did not know what either of the objects mentioned in the title are, you will be ~intimately~ familiar with them by the end of this episode. This episode is full of lighter first world problems as we discuss our design and style conundrums and our personal MOs as we navigate the world as (older) Gen Z (just found out I don’t qualify as a millennial??) babes with disposable income to blow.
This is a #MiddayMondayMeditation that I just HAD TO get off my chest. This rant is under 15 minutes and on the power of saying no. We always talk about the power of yes and showing up - but that only benefits The Man. I challenge you to say no to 3 things this week and give you examples from the real to the jk on what you can say no to this week. Leave people on read, especially if they open an email with "Hey girly!" (or other infuriating openers). PSA: I take no responsibility for the consequences in your life! Reclaim your time - just because it's quarantine doesn't mean people can feel entitled to what's yours.
This episode is perfect if you want a laugh and you want to feel like you’ve got your friends around you but in reality you’re quarantined alone in your studio apartment (😢❤️). You guys, I’m obsessed with @emmagribbon and I’m so lucky she feels the same. We started as coworkers and now we are real life friends!! Emma is a daily full beat baddie who radiates positivity and a little bit of “Live Laugh Love” Home Goods sign energy (aesthetically). We discuss picking up random hobbies, picking up random men, and picking up your general attitude. This episode is sheer chaos but a good origin story for our reality TV career. Hope you enjoy! Love you lots byeee
This is one to listen to when you need some serious inspo or you’re hitting a creative mental block. I had the chance to sit down with the phenomenal Matty Sayles (@msayles) who is a visionary photographer. He’s championed photographing women of all sizes and inclusivity since 2015 and shares why he thinks art is process, problem solving, communication, and something anyone can hone. So many gems were dropped during this episode I can’t even count. A huge thanks to Matt for being on! Hope you enjoy! Ok love you lots byeeee
I liked to surround myself with future doctors (because healthcare in this country is questionable at best) and wonderful people so today I have one of my best buddies and med student Aine Gallahue(@aine729). Aine and I delve into the topic of "Comparison and Validation" and how engaging in these self-sabotaging practices put a ceiling on your potential. We also discuss why "testing" people in your life will always disappoint you and a slightly better framework to put in place. We accidentally try and place as many Drake references as possible and realize that we shouldn't ask questions we already know the answers to. Hope you enjoy! Ok love you lots byeee
My bff, housemate, lover, friend, therapist, and confidant Rochelle and I sit down to discuss ~boundaries~. They might sound majorly "first world problem-y" but we argue that they are deeply necessary and can help enrich every relationship in your life. It might feel super uncomfortable to establish them, so we discuss working through the discomfort and the benefits on the other side. Also, Rochelle comes for my NECK with her advice for me omg. Hope you enjoy! Ok love u lots byeee
Director, producer, writer, singer, and MY AUNT (had to flex, bro, had to) Anita Udeep (@anitaudeep) and I got to chat while I was in India this year about her revolutionary film, 90mL. She discusses the thought process behind creating a film where it shows a group of every day women exploring drugs, alcohol, and the bonds of female friendship. There is NO room for "I just get along better with guys" nonsense here! She also asks me for some MAD CONTROVERSIAL advice ( I wonder if my uncle will listen to this.... lol). I'm truly so proud to be related to her and cannot wait for her future projects. Hope you enjoy! Ok love u lots byeee

Hi hotties! So excited to kick off "One for You / One for Me" Get to know the podcast a bit and my value proposition (SPOILER: there is none. I just wanna have fun). Ok love you lots, bye!
I sat down with exceptional wedding photographer and friend Vinuthna Garidipuri ( @vinuthnagaridipuri on Instagram) to talk about what it's like to be a real life wedding photographer, her insane career and feature in major publications, her tips for brides, and her surprising take on technology. Unsurprisingly, I confessed that I have my whole wedding planned out on Pinterest, and she was very understanding. I hope you enjoy! Love u lots byeee
