This module introduces the field of project management. In addition to describing what is project management, explaining why it is important, and portraying the role of a project manager, this module also dis- cusses the various stakeholders and responsibilities involved in managing projects, the career progression of project managers, and the skills, attitude, and behaviors that make an effective project manager. We will end the module with an over- view of the Project Management Institute® (PMI).
