Facts That Make Us Go WTF!!!!

A tiny bit of the static you see on "dead" tv stations is leftover radiation from the Big Bang. You're seeing residual effects of the Universe's creation. Old analog TV can pick up electromagnetic radiation produced from TV transmission towers and converts it to a picture. So Apart from the specific streams of radiation like TV signals the planet is surrounded in a fog of radiation as well - when you tune in between channels what you're seeing is the fog, as opposed to the stream. Though 99% of the fog radiation the TV is picking up is man-made and 1% comes from the background radiation that surrounds everything in the universe. Red rain once fell in India. In July 25th, 2001 blood-red rain fell in the Kerala district of western India. Turning all the citizens clothing pink. This also occurred in 1896, 1957, 2001, 2012. It was originally thought that the rains were colored by fallout from a meteor burst, but a study done by the Government of India came to find that the rains had been colored by airborne spores from a local green alga. Also in 2001, in the southern part of the state. Yellow, green, and black rain were also reported. The shortest war in history lasted 38 minutes: When the sultan of British-protected Zanzibar died and a new one took over without British approval in 1896, the Brits were not happy. Tension escalated when Sultan Khalid bin Barghash refused to step down, but the British warships spent less than 40 minutes bombarding the palace before Khalid fled, marking the (very quick) end of the Anglo-Zanzibar War.

The Cultiest Cults That Ever Culted

The Children of God(1968) A group formed in the late ’60s in Hunting Beach CA buy their leader David Berge who preach a mixture of believing in Jesus and the 60s era free love believing of course that the end times were near. At one point the group had over 15000 members including many now-famous families of Joaquin Phenix and Rose McGowin. What was really going on when the encouragement and practices of abuse of its younger members. This lead to both famous families leaving and relocating out of the Us before returning in the late 70s. Even. In the end, after both of its leaders passed in 1994 after being investigated by the FBI their then 29-year-old son committed suicide after also dispatching a once nanny who had a hand in his abuse when he was young. The Group is still active but no longer believe the apocalypse is near and still has about 1700 followers in the greater California area. The Order of the Solar Temple Founded in  1984 by Joseph Di Mambro and Luc Jouret, the Order of the Solar Temple and the International Chivalric Organization of the Solar Temple claimed to be based on the traditions and ideals of a Knights Templar. The group believed that the spiritual outweighed physical, and they also believe in the second coming of Christ as a “Solar deity or God-King” and called for the unity of Christianity and Islam. Pulling inspiration from the Order of the East Temple headed by Aleister Crowley, from 1923 until his death on December 1, 1947, as well as the Order of the Golden Dawn, the Freemasons, and other Rosicrucian groups. The Order of the Solar Temple had lodges all over the world including Switzerland, Canada, and France. The Order had a level and grading system with the three levels being the Brothers of Parvis, the Knights of the Alliance, and the Brothers of Ancient Times, each containing thee grades in each level. The top 33 members were in a group known as the Elder Brothers of the Rosy Cross.  As one increases in level, there would be fees and the purchasing of costumes and regalia, which included a Crusader-Like robe. The Lodges had elaborate alters and rituals and the members were told that Di Mambro had an authentic Templar sword gifted to him over a thousand years ago previous life past life Most notably in October of 1994, Emmanuel Dutoit the three months old son Tony Dutoit was stabbed multiple times with wooden Stakes in a lodge located Morin-Heights Quebec.  Allegedly Di Mambro ordered the attack claiming the child was the Antichrist sent to sabotage his spiritual work.  Shortly after DiMambro and 12 followers report performed a ritual of The Last Supper after which mass murders and suicide in sued resulting in the deaths of 74 individuals between 1994 and 1997. Raelism Founded in the 70s by Claud Vorilhon (aka Rael) in France. The Church believes that the Elohim, an alien race, created humanity in their likeness. Rael claimed that on December 13, 1973, that he was visited by the Elohim and gave him these teachings. They claim that the Elohim were mistaken as angels and gods and were worshiped by early humans. Raelians believe that the Elohim will guide the earth to scientific enlightenment and have us join the creators in space. They believe in free love, scientific discovery, and cloning. The True Way Cult (1955 Taiwan) Was formed by a former professor who was clearly nuts. Its beliefs are that the universe is only 4.5 million years old. The solar system was created by a Nuclear War. We all have 3 souls.

The World's Most Haunted Haunts pt. 2: The Resurrection

Houses built on ancient burial sights, locations of bloody battles, or just a place where someone snapped and offed their entire family. There are numerous examples of ways a place can become haunted. Welcome fellow travelers to the gayest Sanctorum, this is the order of the midnight roller podcast. We are your guides Jamison, and Scully. Join us today as we probe the phantasmal palisades of the World's Most Haunted Haunts. Aradale Mental Hospital: Ararat, Victoria, Australia Known as the two sister asylums built in 1864 and opened in 1867 the Aradale Asylum was a huge complex having over 500 staff and made up of 63 buildings. Over 13,000 people were estimated to have passed away there, many of the death may have not been due to natural causes. Some visitors mention that a ghost of a nurse Kerry who is supposed to haunt the women’s wing. Visitors have told of unexpected sensations, feeling cold, or being touched. Some feel drafts running through the building for no apparent reason, and some even mention loud bangs from parts of the building that are unoccupied. In 2001 the hospital was revamped and reopened into the Melbourne Polytechnic's Ararat Training Centre on the site of the hospital and with wine vineyard and olive gove in 2005. Healy Hall, Georgetown University: Named after Patrick Francis Healy (Considered the University’s second founder) the building was constructed between 1877-1879 to increase the number of classrooms and also give space for dormitories. The beautiful High Victorian Aracatectrue had 5 stories and became the flagship building of the university. Most notably the 5th floor is completely blocked off. It is rumored that someone had gone upstairs to perform a ritual and accidentally opened a gateway to the underworld. Another rumor is that the 5th floor is haunted by the ghost of a man who died working on the clocktower, while other legends claim that spirits wander up from the tunnels underneath the campus. Ancient Ram Inn: Wotton-under-Edge Glocestshire: England Boasted as the oldest still running inns in England. This famously haunted was first built in 1145 AD sat on top of an ancient pagan burial ground stretching back to 3000 BC. Several original pieces of the building going all the way back to 7000 BC where it was said human sacrifices had taken place. The entire town had burnt down in a fire during the reign of King John except for the Inn. The Inn lay on marchy land and had several small ponds that had to be diverted to make way for the new church. Many theorize that the rerouting of the water may have lead to a portal of dark energy to be opened. Sometime later the building was converted into an inn and was in use until 1965 when it started to lose customers and crumble the build has been under several owners since. Many have said they have witnessed ghosts including a Roman Centurion seen by a plumber, a young girl who was murdered here by one of the inn’s more sinister former residents. The little girl was supposedly the innkeeper’s daughter and she was found hanging in the attic. The scariest thing that has been witnessed is of a woman in the night standing at the foot of a visitor’s bed in religious robes chanting in a strange language. But this does not include a monk walking around, an old man and his dog standing guard, another woman hanging from the ceiling, and other ghastly sights too numerous to list. A retired Rev John Yates, the former Bishop of Gloucester, said the Ancient Ram, “the evilest place I have ever had the misfortune to visit”.

Holiday Gift Guide 2020

Both of us are having trouble figuring out what to get people for the holidays. Let us help you out here are some things that we are thinking would be good for the holiday buying season. Jamison likes to get gifts for people that they would not get themselves but is very easy to shop for. Both Jamison and Scully believe in shopping locally independently owned business if you can but if you can’t here are some suggestions. At the moment many dice companies are having large dice sales including Dice Envy, Urwizrds, Kraken Dice, Cozy Gamer, and even Wyrmwood are all having heavy dice sales to appease the dice dragon in your life. There are a lot D&D centric items including books like Heroes feast. Jamison just got a cookbook from a Youtuber called “How to coon the victorian way with Mrs. Crocome” Jamison would like to eventually have a ren fair like day of feasting and D&D day. There are a lot of Starwars themed items out or coming out for the season including “The Child/baby Yoda” You can now get the blue macaroons from the latest episode of The Mandalorian. Another line from the Starwars franchise is the Force FX Elite LightSabers. Jamison has gotten the Emperor Palpatine Lightsaber from this line. Scully would like to get the Mace Windu Lightsaber. This line of Lightsabers is of great quality. Another line from Hasbro is the lighting collection from Power Rangers but may not as good as the items that might have come out from Bandi. There is a company called Ace Toys that make “knock off” Power Ranger figures that are not Hasbro official but are of amazing quality. Magic The Gathering is putting out a set called “Secret Layer” and putting out Bob Ross themed mana. We both are getting sets of these for our decks. The estimate is about $50 for the set of these. There is more to this than the Bob Ross card in the “Secretvesery”. But these are the ones we are most excited about. They have also put a Walking Dead set from the same “Secret Layer” set. Both believe there should be sets from other fandoms like Buffy or Xena or Supernatural.

Sadistic Serial Killers

Shadowy figures lurking down an ally way, uncomfortable encounters with a random stranger but possibly the most terrifying is the inconspicuous neighbor who would do anything to help a friend. The darkness in humanity knows no boundaries. Welcome fellow travelers to the Gayest Sanctorum this is the Order of the Midnight Roller Podcast. We are your guides, Jamison, and Scully. And join us as we tiptoe through the thought twisting tunnels of the minds of Sadistic Serial Killers Kendall Francois (Poughkeepsie, NY) October 1996-August 1998 8 confirmed murders. An ex-Army vet and school Aid, janitor, and hall monitor for Arlington Middle school in Poughkeepsie, NY. He abducted 8 women and brought them back to where they had intercourse and then he would kill them, bathe them, and put his victims in garbage bags in his attic. After some time and many abductions, the smell came from the shabby home only a mile from the affluent Vassar College area. He was only caught when a victim escaped and ran into the investigating detectives as Kendall drove up. They questioned the girl about what had happened who stated it was Francois who assaulted her. The two detectives then went to the house where he Francois lived and asked him if he would come to headquarters and after several hours Francois confessed to many years of abductions and murder. After being convicted and sentenced he died of complications from HIV. H.H. Holmes/ Herman Webster Mudgett/Dr. Henry Howard Holmes (Chicago, Ill) 27 confirmed murders upwards of 200 assumed murder He killed his victims in a self-proclaimed “murder castle”. He began building the hotel in 1887. The building was supposed to be a hotel during the “World’s Columbian Exposition”. There were soundproof rooms, hallways that lead nowhere, Chutes and ladders that lead to basements where he had acid baths and quick lime and crematorium to dispose of the bodies. Police only found this after having to go inspect the building when it was found the hotel was not in code. They found a surgical table and tools used to dissect bodies to sell organs on the black market. Holmes had supposedly murdered almost 300 people but was only convicted of killing his business partner after a botched insurance con. At the end of his life and after being convicted and sentenced to death he claimed that he was possessed by the devil. On the day of his hanging the “Murder Castle” was mysteriously burnt down. Later it was renovated into a Post Office until 1938. La Bestia: Luis Alfredo Garavito Cubillos was born on Jan 25, 1957, in Columbia. Has admitted to rape, torture, and murder of 138 teenagers and boys between ‘92 and ‘99. In his younger years, it is reported that his mother was a prostitute and his father was an alcoholic and was abusive. It is rumored that Garavito was subjected to abuse and molested by his mother’s clients. He ran away at the age of 8 and unfortunately was picked up by a pedophile who raped and abused him. After this, he joined a gang for protection and began to steal. In 1992, an investigation began due to a large number of boys between 6 and 16 who had gone missing. In 1997 a mass grave with a pair of special glasses next to it. In ‘98 3 bodies were found with a note next to them with an address on it. The address was that of Garavito’s girlfriend. When the police questioned her she had not seen him in months, however, she gave the police a bag Garavito left in her position. The bag contained photos and a journal containing how he killed his victims. This led the police to where he was staying. Though they believe he was looking for his next victim. He was convicted on 138 of 172 accounts of murder and was sentenced to 1,853 years and 9 days in prison, though there may have possibly been 300 or more victims due to the Columbian civil war.

There is a Full moon and a blue moon on Halloween this year and their things should not be messed with on this night. Library of the Macabre

Bram Stoker’s Dracula: 1897 Jamison enjoys this novel because of the way that it is written as it is told through the diary of Nina and the Van Helsing, Dr. Seward, and Lucy Westenra. “The Jewel of the Seven Stars” 1903 Jamison suggests “The Jewel of the Seven Stars” which he doesn’t count this a horror in the classical sense but back when the novel was written and could be considered scary for the time. This could be described as an Egyptian coming back to life themed movie. Jamison states he would like a modern remake film but placed in the Victorian era Something Wicked This Way Comes: Ray Bradbury (1962) Two teenagers encounter a strange carnival that comes into their small Illinois town. Headed up by a charismatic ring leader who can grant deep desires and the rest of the troop that feeds off the life force of others they capture. The story has themes of overcoming fear and battling the forces of evils. Ray Bradbury taking the titles from a quote from three witches from Macbeth, “By the pricking of my thumb something wicked this way comes.” Carmilla: Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu (1872) Published in a “Glass Darkly” Could have been a magazine of its time illustrations by David Henry Friston. Jamison states that came out 26 years before Dracula. The story is told by a noblewoman. Circumstances bring a strange guest to her doorstep and very odd things occur. Jamison states this was a toted one of the first Lesbian erotic stories. The story does have a lot of stereotypical Vampire tropes. In this story, the Vampire only needs a short rest. Hell House: Richard Matheson (1971) A doctor his wife and two mediums are hired by an estranged dying millionaire to investigate the possibility of life after death. The group is told to visit the most haunted house in Maine called the “Hell House”. In the end, they all have to investigate a mysterious murder and other strange happenings and why many people die after visiting the house. Sleepy Hollow: Washington Irving (1820) Much different than the 1999 movie. The story stretches back from across the pond in another country in Europe and specifically in Ireland. Jamison states that he likes the ending of the story. Spoiler alert! The real Headless Horseman is Scrappy-Doo. The Tell-Tale Heart: Edgar Allen Poe (1843) The Story tells of a first-person view and is not said if they are male or female. The story is about the narrator who is driven mad by an elderly man’s cloudy eye. The madness gets so much that the narrator concocts an elaborate plan to off dispose of the man and hiding his remains. The story deals with the justification of the narrator's actions Lovecraftian Horror: (1917-1937) Dreams In the Witch House: (1933) This is one of Jamison’s favorite Lovecraft books and would want to have a film adaptation. The story revolves around a college student that can’t find lodging and can only find some in a strange home of an elderly woman and her strange imp-like creature. But slowly goes mad while he dreams of the house. Jamison recommends these other Lovecraft titles including The dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath, Call of Cthulhu, or The Shadows Over Innsmouth.

Finally, in 2003 the hospital was “officially” closed. But this has not kept out several trespassers through the years exploring the grounds. Many walls tagged with things stating “Hell this way” or “Leave Now” adding to the hospital's creepy factor. On top of its Gothic architecture leading the imagination to many horror movies but only this is scarier as now a developer has plans on tearing down the hospital to make way for a live, work, play community. The one question we ask is...has the developer never seen any horror movies? This surely will not end well. El Paso Highschool Tx Known as the Lady on the Hill, El Paso Highschool in Texas opened its doors in 1916. With breathtaking Greco-Roman inspired architecture overlooking a massive 12000 seat stadium, the school is quite the marvel but with a dark past. Not only was the basement used as overflow for the morgue during the Spanish flu outbreak between 1918 and 1920 but it also was used to house the bodies of soldiers who were lost in World War II until the next of kin were informed. There is the spirit of a girl who committed suicide by slitting her wrists and jumping from the balcony. It is said that she relives this night after night for many people have reported seeing her jump from the balcony. A class picture from 1985 contains an eerie image of a girl who was not present when the photo was taken. Oddly enough, the image of the girl was only in the yearbook and not recorded on the negative of the photograph.

Spooky Season Movies: Oh So Spoopy!

We like to watch a certain amount of “Halloween” Themed movies for this time of year. Some of our guilty pleasure movies for this season. Both Jamison and Scully want old Jamie Lee Curtis, Linda Hamilton, and Sigourney Weaver in a movie with Helen Mirren as the villain. We both feel that the quintessential Halloween movie for us is Hocus Pocus. Which we seem to watch this movie at the start of our Halloween season but we think it’s the best for this season. We did start our Halloween movies for the month of Halloween Town. Scully had thought that the movie had not aged well but must have been the sequel which was not great. Jamison notices that there is a lot of occultism with an all-seeing eye and a pentagram necklace. The movie is still great with it’s super 90’s soundtrack but and well-written story but with just enough kids zingers to keep in the kid's theme. Scully says he’s not a blood, guts, and gore fan but his first guilty pleasure movie is “Candy Man” with Tony Todd. Enjoys like to be a little scared during this season. Other than that his other guilty pleasure is Scary Movie 2. Jamison starts his Halloween guilty pleasure movie is “Blair Witch: Book of Shadows”. He watches it every and it’s just a bad movie but watches it every year. Another guilty pleasure Halloween/fall themed movie is the first Evil Dead. Scully says he watches the movies that a lot of others do during this time like Nightmare before Christmas, Night-breed, Monster Squad, and Lost Boys. But loves old school monster-themed movies. Jamison enjoys old silent horror movies like Nosferatu and Hunch Back of Notre Dame. Both suggest any Vincent Price movies including Last Man On Earth, House on Haunted Hill, and The Rave. Both also suggest The Night of The Living Dead, Return of The Living dead for Zombie themed movies. Other movies both watched during this season are horror parity movies like Dracula Dead and Loving It, Young Frankenstein, and Repossessed. Staring the likes of Linda Blair, Leslie Nielsen, and Gene Wilder. A quintessential Halloween movie is “Sleepy Hollow”. Jamison says that his more Halloween themed Johnny Depp is “The Ninth Gate”. Scully believes this season is about macabre movies like Adam's family, The Munsters, or any sort of monster mash sort of movies. Both Jamison and Scully agree that Rocky Horror Picture show is one of the most Halloween themed movies this season.
