Our House: A to Z

Zac and Ashley bring their heart and their wit to the table as they discuss what makes families tick. Drawing from their experience pastoring and counseling, along with what goes on in their own house, the two tackle everything from the most common issues in marriage, to the nuances of modern dating, to stewarding the next generation while honoring the last one. With the the conviction that God has surrounded each of us with vast resources in the form of people, Zac and Ashley interview families and individuals from their church and community who’s life experiences reflect triumph in the topic of the day. All this with the confidence that our Heavenly Father is the original Architect of the family, and with Him we can strengthen, renovate, and rebuild our homes if aligned and empowered by His Spirit and His Word.

Conversations with Teenagers: Intentionally Unintentional

In 1992 Jamie Walters asked the question; "How Do You Talk To An Angel" via a single which was cleverly used as the intro to the tv series: "The Heights".  Today, Pastors Zac and Ashley answer a similar question: 'How do you talk to your teenager?'.  There's a lot of differences from 1992 to today... for example; nobody has a beeper these days. Remember Beepers?  How you just felt better getting a "143" from your crush, or how your heart started pounding in your chest if one of your parents beeped you with your home phone number followed by "911". Those were the days. Anywho - enjoy this episode and Congratulations to all those graduating High School and/or college! Topic Ideas: info@hpc.church

Romance is More Than Roses

André Lauren Benjamin, better known by his stage name André 3000, once said that "Roses really smell like Poo-Poo-Ooh"... and while he had a propensity to 'run out of sugar', forcing him to ask his neighbors if he could borrow some; this modern-day philosopher was right on the money when it came to the fruit of this expensive, thorny flower... Thusly Pastors Zac and Ashley discuss the finer tenets of Romance... and I beg you to recognize the plurality of the word "tenets". Topic Ideas: info@hpc.com

Karen Read, Religious Holidays, and a (Hopefully) More Productive Summer

After the past 5 weeks of Marriage Intensive Recaps comes the synposis of what is typically one of the busiest seasons for Pastors Zac and Ashley: Easter - BUT this year was different, and as it appears that a more spring-like climate has finally appeared here in New England; a bit of an outlook to making this your best-summer-ever! Sex and Money... but Mostly Sex

This may not be the episode to play over the car's bluetooth with children in the backseat or turned way up as you drive with windows open, besides, it's been like 30°F-40°F lately, why are you driving around with the windows open anyway? The 4-Week Marriage Intensive has concluded but the recaps continue in this and the next episode... In fact, here's a little tease for next week: The title is "Sex and Money... but Mostly Money"... ya catch my drift? What more can I say, although I will say this, how annoying is it that you can't use an ampersand in podcast titles? It's 2025, how has this issue not been resolved?  You put an "&" and do you see that?  That's supposed to be an ampersand, but instead it's madness... and how many listeners could spell "ampersand" without consulting google or siri or regina or jamie, or whatever AI assistant you use. Power-Couple vs Power Struggle: Surrendering in Marriage

A rather impromptu 4-week "Marriage Intensive" recently started at His Providence Church. 'Impromptu' because this was birthed out of an altar call a few weeks ago, and to be candid; classes like these typically require much strategic planning. While the M.I. is at capacity with 35 couples; Pastors Zac and Ashley will be using the next 4 episodes to recap and review what was discussed and ways to practically apply it to any marriage.  Now if you're single - don't just skip over this.. there's much for you to learn as well.
