I can't agree completely with either of them. I'm not sympathetic to Brian. He is a cold-blooded murderer, but I don't think Denise was at all innocent. I think she was very manipulative, and I think she probably was the person who planned it, seeing Brian as someone she could control using their sexual relationship. I think she believed that Brian would never tell because he would be implicating himself and she could eventually cut ties with him.She underestimated Brian's obsession with her.

Amazing. Ten munutes in yiu've hit every trope for true crime. i already don't care who dies and why.
ugh. the first guest is so sympathetic to the guy who killed his friend. of course, she's the one with that podcast promo where in a really cheeey voice she goes"Why do murderers kill?" and proceeds to talk like she's reading a children's book. So maybe I just have a little confirmation bias here. second guest was much more on the mark about being livid that the guy who brutally murdered someone got immunity...for confessing to his own crime!
I thought this was going to be a discussion about a movie or a TV show, but it's turning out to be something much more intriguing! https://citypages.pro/local-business/brooklyn-ny/11215/cookie-packaging-pros The title itself is like a cliffhanger, and now I'm invested in finding out what "Over My Dead Body" really means in this context. Let's keep the conversation going! https://www.preferredprofessionals.com/brooklyn-ny/professional-services/cookie-packaging-pros
These two were really meant for each other. They're both rotten scumbags.
I live right by Fox Lake and the whole community was putting signs and banners everywhere. I clean homes and I told my customer as I entered their house to lock all the doors and to be mindful that there were three suspects that killed a police officer nearby. It was surreal as I drove by the Fox Lake Police Department on my way to my next job. One of my sons had been interviewed by Joe when my son was interested in joining the police force, and my son said that Joe was super intense and over the top militant attitude. Our Neighbors on our street were already posting signs with Joe's picture on it and we live about 8 miles from Fox Lake so it was going on all over our area.
I'm done. I've never been particularly fascinated in the goings-on of idiot rednecks, and "Florida Man" and alligators in the description should have given fair warning.
Love it so much this is the best podcast ever!
Thrilled to hear more
That’s a awesome story!
I followed this case for years. I remember watching the original 48-hour episode and thinking Denise had probably gotten away with it forever. So happy justice prevailed in the end. I am looking forward to your coverage.
Sooooo sick of this case. Literally everyone has covered this case! I’ve also seen like three documentaries on it! This case does not need to be covered again!!
I'm acc in love w this podcast 🫶🏻🫶🏻
The constant advertising, and the way the script is so obviously built to accommodate the ads, makes the listening experience a cheap and rather nasty one.
((())) lmao
