Port Arthur EDC Director is at the verge of missing a huge turnaround that's people are calling the second coming of Spindletop in this area. EDC Director and Bartie are purposely not trying to get citizens hired by making the lame excuse of childcare. The expansion starts within two months and it no time to wait to lobby for some money to figure out a childcare plan.
Between the City of PA NOT trying to give bids to Port Arthur companies AND not trying to get citizens hire are treasonous acts that shouldn't be tolerated by the citizens.
Former CEO Batiste calls out the EDC board for illegal operating practices and call out the board and council for everybody knowing and not saying anything.
First, it was council member Beckcom was talking about council knew about Hamilton not living in PA and now Batiste states everyone knows about the illegal practices.
I give specific actions you can do to fix the corruption. I give you different agencies you can call and make a report. I give you different strategies on combatting corruption.

Real Estate Conflict of Interest in Port Arthur
It’s alleged that Charlotte Moses been using the council for personal gain with her real estate company that she works for.
She votes to change a contract so Legacy CDC can purchase property from her via Freeman Properties. This is a clear violation.
Moses understands this is a violation because after she votes on the contract. She tries to abstain herself on another vote that comes up with her company being on a list to be used by the COPA in future real estate deals.
Other candidates like Ms Beckcom have her real estate license without using entering local politics. She is also endorsed by an area real estate organization and It gives suspicion about her motives.

Finance Department has a historic problem of not being able to pay the bills on time. It is rumored that the Finance Director doesn't have a CPA. Kandi Daniels incompetence to pay bills has put the EDC in a situation to possibly have bad credit and jeopardize future business opportunities.

Mayor Thurman Bartie wants a private meeting with DD7 over flooding of W17, W18, and W19th St.
This is why we continue to have problems with drainage. We have a mayor that wants to hide information from the council AND public. This is another reason why I believe he sabotage the drainage project. Ron Burton says they mayor was out and when the mayor comes in and says DD7 didn't return his call. They both lying.

Previous council (2018) set a blueprint for drainage projects that had a collaboration with DD7, engineers, COPA, and Colonial Pipeline. Projects were either funded through FEMA if possible, or through Capital Improvement Projects. Either way projects should have started mid 2019. Project delays and lies about funding during council and Mayor Bartie's hatred for the city purchasing property for the retention pond leads citizens to believe that drainage project was sabotaged.

The audience started to laugh after he voted against his own item. Bartie was embarrassed so much so that he left during council meeting. Tag everybody you know to this video.
