How do you recover from an extremely hard weekend of partying, lack of sleep, dehydration... We don't have any experience with this nor do any of our associates, friends, colleagues and buddys... It's useful to know however... just in case one stumbles upon a mad rave with a music video being recorded... What do you do?   Water, fruits for vitamins and minerals, rehydration salts bought at any pharmacy, paracetamol, a hearty meal and a few prayers for good measure.  We made tremendous connections this weekend, going up and down talking to every person At a music event up in the mountains where a music video was being created by our friends.  It was a glorious weekend with great laughs, fun, banter and joy to be shared.  We also connected with @jen_j_now who we filmed a podcast with @manlikeallaninho about sex, biology and our natural bodily processes, avoiding STD's covering Sexual preferences.   All in all a good night, however one where Monk wandered off into nowhere for 3 hours and couldn't be found. Forgot everything and then when found snapped back to consciousness and next morning remembered nothing.  Guys drink responsibly, it's not worth getting yourselves hurt and injured... except to please women and impress your friends.  Also you can attain a special "DARWIN AWARD" for dying in stupid and amusing ways.. and you definately dont want to end up posted there.  " Also its not a pleasant feeling to NOT know what happened this weekend. HOW IS IT BEST TO GET YOUR DAY STARTED: Each person has their own ways to crank up the day to high revs. Getting into that deep flow state of efficient work that allows ridiculously High levels of work to be accomplished. Your first hours are the foundation of the rest of the day. How you prime yourself with thoughts, sounds, sights and actions helps to set Up everything else that follows. We want to ask you PIPSTERS what kind of music gets you psyched and ready to take on the challenges ahead of you. Is it a certain playlist, Genre? Artist? A certain emotion you get? It's valid to ask these questions to find out what best fits you. Why do we listen to music in the first place To say the type of music one listens to does not affect a person’s mental state is a misnomer. Every sound, smell, taste, feeling and sight acts as sensory input to our brains. Our brains take this data and figure out what it all means… A vast proportion of the input we receive our brains Reticular Activation System regards as unimportant and either discards or relegated to the unconscious mind to sort out or otherwise. When it comes to choice of music however, this is where it can’t be underestimated how vital it is to be aware of what you are listening to. We are not trying to tell you what to listen to or what not to. Without judgement, critisism or condescention, we ask you this simple question, are you making the most out of this day off? If you have any goals for yourself or vision for the future, is it an idiotic suggestion to propose that a day off could be used for a huge deal of good? REGGIE AND MONK were still hanging on a Tuesday from a ferocious sesh that occurred on the night of EARLY BIRDS 4. Two days into the week and the after effects of the weekend were still in effect... We delve into what someone can do to help them stay in tip top shape and recover energy for the next day's work and activities. After work activities can include everything from playing a sport, attending a book club, joining a gym, meditation, watching series, getting high on weed or getting drunk on booze. We want to explore today how someone can use their time after work as effectively as possible to unwind and relax without getting hammered and suffering the consequences of a hangover or wasted evening on  the next day's work. Let's take sports as an example, You cannot understand and appreciate the long term effects of doing pilates, yoga, martial arts or any other exercise that involves flexibility, stretching and agility until you actually do it. When you wake up on a daily basis and your entire body feels fresh and rejuvenated, how does that improve in small ways every other aspect of your day??? 1000 tiny improvements with your body and mind lead to a tremendous improvement in the overall wellness of your being… Likewise, what is the effect of having a weekend hangover that spills over onto the weekdays, it just makes a mess of everything, and reduces your efficiency. A bad Monday increases the possibility of a bad Tuesday and the domino effect continues. One of the best ways to allow yourself to unwind after a day's work is ensuring that you already have a head start on the events of tomorrow.; Having food prepared and prepacked in a container to take with, Setting out tasks for tomorrow the day before and reflecting back on the day you had allowed your subconscious to begin implementing problem solving for tomorrow giving you a tremendous head start. SUPERPOWERS LIE DORMANT BEHIND YOUR VEIL OF LIMITING BELIEFS.      IF YOU CAN DREAM IT YOU CAN ACHIEVE IT - ZIG ZIGLAR   Envisioning the goal that you have set out is the most powerful skill leading to manifestation.    Believing in oneself to the point where you have no doubt that you will achieve the task at hand, no matter how many facts people throw at you.    Like saying “the stats show that someone of your caliber and skill set is not usually on the side of completion”, thank you for boosting my morals and desires to prove you wrong because now I KNOW for damn sure I will complete this task.    Being in this frame of mind is what unlocks the new realm of insane human abilities allowing us to seem inhumane.    Giving yourself the chance to take alternate routes of completing this task is what creates this BEAST inside us, through manifestation, belief, hope, trust and physical results.     You will find it much harder to implement pillars of structure in your life.   Unless  you are willing to consider different ways of learning, and adapting new information to past problems.    Planning has the effect as well of putting your subconscious to work to figure out solutions before hand and develop a strategic and tactical mind.
Being able to understand the capacity of our brains has been a continued topic a discussion point that, to this day no scientist have conclusive results to show exactly how much of our brains we use on a daily basis as an average. We are able to conduct multiple tests to understand the level of brain activity during certain events by introducing specific thoughts, scenarios and multiple other stimuli. The most common tests are CAT scans alongside MRI which both indicate alternative brain levels of activity. Reggie and Monk both attempt to unveil the uniqueness of our brains and how to actively stimulate certain parts of our cognitive minds to progressively increase the brain's capacity. THE HUMAN TENDENCY to prefer bite size media. It’s less of an intimidation than having to listen to a 2 hour piece whilst allowing the maximum possible information potential. 1 It is a scientific fact that humans on average forget 50% of what they learn within an hour and 70% of what they learn in 24 hours. Our natural ability to concentrate wanes after 10 -40 minutes. When we spend any longer on a task we get diminishing returns from our time spent. PRIMACY AND RECENCY: The effect of PRIMACY is that you are more likely to remember what you learn in the beginning of a video, class, presentation or interaction, RECENCY is the higher likelihood of remembering what was learnt at the end of said video, class etc. We figured by reducing the time of our videos to below 30 minutes, we maximize the attentive timespan of our viewers and get whatever points and information across in a secure and effective way. ACCEPTANCE: WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO ACCEPT OUR LIFE CIRCUMSTANCES. ACCEPTANCE IS A MENTAL SWITCH... "Life is the way it is, what can we do about it?". When we approach problems and challenges with a positive mindset based on a desire to grow and learn, every obstacle becomes an opportunity for self development. The alternative is "LIFE IS THE WAY IT IS, why bother trying to change anything at all?" "IT IS WHAT IT IS" (IIWII) can be one of your greatest tools for creation or self destruction. You can find yourself in a bad situation doing something, stupid, shady and unwise all because you decided "F*Ck the outcome, YOLO". You Only Live Once, so why not live in a way that actually matters, because the alternative is living a life devoid of meaning where nothing matters and you are just counting days until your death. YOU HAVE TO MAKE MISTAKES IN ORDER TO GROW: There are some mistakes you should avoid at all costs. REGGIE mentions in episode 10 about the MIDAS TOUCH, how we must go about life learning to make mistakes in the most effective way possible that leads to the greatest amount of learning and progress. THERE ARE LIMITS TO THIS!!!: You don't need to murder someone, get sentenced to 30 years in prison, get educated while inside then return outside in order to realize murder is bad. Some people who have had horrendous life circumstances, brutal childhoods, horrendous abuse, traumatic social circumstances know no other way other than rough roads and dark means to get ahead. There are many convicted felons who do return to society with a desire to make a positive difference and in many ways we could say that this is part of their story. Karmically we could say that it took them going to prison and learning how to overcome their circumstances to act as an example to other inmates to show them what is possible. By same token, can we not also ask why it is necessary for the original murder and sentencing to occur before lesson is learn't? I Monk, noticed I was developing this mindset of "Allowing the Temptation to get the better of me voluntarily. Video games, weed, masturbation, porn, cigarettes and laziness were excused as "WHAT IF I NEED TO BE TRYING OUT THESE TEMPTATIONS IN ORDER TO FEEL SHITTY ABOUT THEM AND REMIND MYSELF WHY I SHOULDN'T BE DOING THESE THINGS IN THE FIRST PLACE. This mindset morphed into " WHAT IF I CAN MAKE FALLING INTO TEMPTATION THE GREATEST THING THAT CAN EVER HAPPEN TO ME". Not saying that it cannot happen, but simply that you are rolling the dice every time you try to get away with trying to turn a bad habit into a good outcome. The same time that was spent slacking off and messing around, could have been spent developing one's business, mindset, and good habits.
BEFORE YOU’VE EVEN CONSCIOUSLY THOUGHT OF THE PROBLEM, YOUR BRAIN ALREADY IS WORKING ON THE SOLUTION. AS WITH SOLVING a JigSaw puzzle not all pieces will immediately make sense, and you will not have the full understanding of what you are looking at. As time goes by and you solve pieces of the puzzle, sudden insights will come to you and you will progressively gain a deeper understanding of how it all fits together. Until you reach a point where it's as though with perfect clarity, you can visualize exactly how all the pieces line up together. Your subconscious mind works in similar ways. constantly taking in data from all your senses every moment of every day. “Every second, your senses gather up to 11 million bits of information from the world around you. If you tried to decipher all of them at once, you’d immediately be overwhelmed. That's why the brain is primarily an information deletion device. It’s designed to keep information out. The conscious mind typically processes 50 pieces of information per second. What makes it through the filter is determined by the part of the brain called the reticular activating system, or RAS for short. The RAS is responsible for a number of functions, including sleep and behavior modification. It also acts as the gatekeeper of information through a process called habituation, which allows the brain to ignore meaningless and repetitive stimuli and remain sensitive to other inputs.” - DIRECT QUOTATION FROM LIMITLESS - JIM KWIK JIM KWIK goes on to explain how we can consciously determine what information ends up entering our subconscious mind based on the questions that we ask ourselves, and what we pay attention to and focus on. REGGIE has been bombarding me with direct, uncomfortable questions as to why I do, think, feel certain thoughts and behaviors. Initially I would retort and get defensive, feeling within me a prickly feeling of indignation and stubborn pride. As though to say “Who are you to point out all my faults”. THEN CONSCIOUSLY I notice my subconscious offense to these questions...my ego pricking up… and I ask myself: WHY DO I TAKE OFFENSE IN THE FIRST PLACE ABOUT MY PERCEIVED FAILINGS AND FAULTS BEING POINTED OUT? I, MONK Have felt in the last 12-14 months that Mentally I haven't been performing at optimum. As though it’s been easy for me to keep a clear mind and not “THINK EXCESSIVE THOUGHTS”. It’s been hard to proactively think about my future and keeping multiple mental tabs open at once for problem solving, remembering important information. A combination of no longer reflecting deeply upon my days in the evening at day's end, inconsistent planning of tomorrow's affairs and falling out of the habit of asking questions about each action, thought, pattern and emotion, means that the act of planting positive daily seeds is being ignored. The problem as I discovered in “PIP#5 PLANTING POSITIVE SEEDS TO ENGRAIN POSITIVE LIFESTYLES.”, is that is all good keeping one's mental fields clear of weeds, but without planting new positive seeds in their place, it is still an empty field and the weeds will return. Likewise, I believe that the discomfort that is felt when REGGIE attempts to ask pressing and pointed questions… is he is trying to shine light upon my mental field and question my questions. OUR QUESTIONS THAT WE ASK OURSELVES DETERMINE OUR OUTCOMES. THE REACH AND POWER OF OUR SUBCONSCIOUS MINDS IS UNQUESTIONABLE. BY MAKING A HABIT OF CONSCIOUSLY ASKING OURSELVES IMPORTANT QUESTIONS THAT LEAD TO PRODUCTIVE OUTCOMES AND UPROOT NEGATIVE BELIEF SYSTEMS… WE TAKE IMPORTANT STEPS IN FEEDING OUR SUBCONSCIOUS MINDS HEALTHY INFORMATION THAT WILL VASTLY BENEFIT OUR LIVES IN THE FUTURE.

I Monk had been making this VICIOUS mistake as of the last 24 months. In attempting to figure out what the best possible actions would be to lead my best life. I had "fallen off my wagon" and was not performing the required actions i would wish of myself in order to bring about my best life. In hindsight, the cause of this was arrogantly assuming I could take on too much responsibility all at once without having a clear plan of action of WHERE my actions were leading me. My ferocious productivity of 2019 had been build on a super powerful "WHY", I knew how I had to proceed ahead with clear goals in mind and I possessed certain habits that I would stick to and maintain under all costs. As well as sacrificing many pleasures I would have previously enjoyed such as regular social time, video games, booze, marijuana, cigarettes and watching sports. When I begun slacking on certain habits, I would try to analyze the past to find out what were my "KEY" actions that led me to feeling a certain positive growth mindset that was growing on a daily basis. I knew in my subconscious that some of my actions were leading me astray, yet... I was yet I gave myself permission to muck around and purposefully do wrong so that I could "LEARN FROM IT". After listening to our recent early birds piece number #4 that we must make mistakes in order to grow and develop, you must remember that we have to make the right mistakes at the right time for the right reasons. It makes no sense to make unnecessary mistakes that set you back to square 1 and leave you feeling hopeless, humiliated, discouraged and uncertain of your next step. I was making unnecessary mistakes that I knew were unnecessary because I wanted to build up a "database" of what doing the wrong thing felt like so that I could know "just how bad it would feel", so that I would not do it again. This in hindsight was an excuse for me to NOT do the right thing and put off important responsibilities. To learn from the past most effectively, you must first figure out which mistakes you made had the most powerful lessons to teach you. Why make 100 mistakes to learn 100 lessons when you can learn how to take away 100 lessons from 10 mistakes. There is a tremendously powerful skill to being able to "FAIL FORWARD" and make mistakes that lead to inevitable progress. Part of this profound skillset is being able to look into the past and pick out vital bits of information from your mistakes that give you the biggest learning kick. I used to look back into the past and try and "OPEN PANDORA's BOX". IE. Open up my mental and emotional space where all the dark thoughts, regrets, pent up repressed emotions lay and let that loose. I thought that by trying to open myself up to my past all at once that everything would instantly be OK. Lesson learn't When you are not ready to deal with all your trauma at once, you get bogged down in a swarm of "I SHOULD HAVES" and "I WOULD HAVES" and unless you go through your past errors at a pace that allows you to PRACTICALLY IMPLEMENT THE NEW CHANGES YOU WANT TO SEE IN YOUR LIFE, YOU WILL SEE NO IMPROVEMENT. Acknowledging the changes that need to be made in your life and trusting that your subconscious mind will take care of them is not enough. It is an excellent way to ensure that you "IDENTIFY HUNDREDS OF POTENTIAL IMPROVEMENTS" that you could have made in your life, but without physically exerting effort to create new results for yourself by performing new actions, thoughts and feelings... NOTHING WILL CHANGE IN YOUR LIFE, Simply that you will feel less capable, hopeless and humiliated because you confuse identifying these problems as fixing them. Delve into your past... find out what went wrong, and HOW YOU CAN PRACTICALLY IMPLEMENT THESE CHANGES FOR YOUR FUTURE.
BUILDING ON the previous clip and blog post: GRATITUDE for the good things in life is much easier to practice than being grateful for cruel torturous pain, unfair life events and withering sadness, crushing anxiety. Traumatic tough experiences force you to MAKE A CHOICE.   TO bury your head in escape mechanisms such as hardcore drugs, copious amounts of booze, porn, masturbation, video games or what ever other vice……   OR   THESE TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCES FORCE YOU TO TOUGHEN UP….. To become the kind of person who grows under duress, pressure and responsibility. Often people hear ``toughen up 'and it is interpreted as “toughen up your heart and close off from the world”... THIS IS NOT IDEAL. This is MONK saying “I’ve been making this mistake for years and only recently did I understand that toughening up doesn’t mean closing off your emotions from the world in an attempt to remove all pain and suffering.” Rather.. Toughen up means to become the kind of person by bearing the weight of responsibility who is able to love, care, strive for greatness and practice trusting again and HAVING FAITH… that if you do get backstabbed, you grow from it and turn it into a valuable life lesson.    Not saying you must withdraw emotionally from the world because this is not the intended lesson we are trying to impart.    OG Mandino in his best selling Book “THE GREATEST SALESMAN IN THE WORLD”, alludes to the extreme importance of being grateful for each and every life experience we endure whether good or bad. Each teaches us a lesson, and only when we are willing to ACCEPT in our very core that everything will be alright…   I will greet this day with love in my heart.   And how will I do this? Henceforth will I look on all things with love and I will be  born again. I will love the sun for it warms my bones; yet I will love the rain for it  cleanses my spirit. I will love the light for it shows me the way; yet I will love the  darkness for it shows me the stars. I will welcome happiness for it enlarges my heart;  yet I will endure sadness for it opens my soul.  I will acknowledge rewards for they  are my due; yet I will welcome obstacles for they are my challenge.  (Mandino, 1968)   Having a deep FAITH that no matter what happens, if we try to do the best we can each and every day no matter what.. WHAT IF THE FIRST STEP TO LEARING TO MAKE YOUR OWN FUN, RELEASE YOUR OWN DOPAMINE IS FINDING WAYS OF MAKING A GAME AND FUN OUT OF EVERY DAY ACTIVITIES… IE HOW MANY SWEEPS DOES IT TAKE TO SWEEP THE FLOOR WITHOUT MISSING A SINGLE SWEEP. AT THE END OF IT IF DONE CORRECTLY, THIS IS A SKILL THAT COULD BE PRACTICED 1000S OF TIMES A DAY ONLY RESTRICTED BY HOW PRESENT AND FOCUSED WE ARE ON THE PARTICULAR ACTIVITY OR TASK AT HAND.  FOR EXAMPLE AS I AM WRITING THIS, I NOTICED HOW MY BREATHS WERE SHALLOW, I HAVE BEGUN TAKING DEEPER BREATHES AND INTERNALLY THANKING MYSELF FOR TAKING THIS LITTLE STEP TO FEED VITAL OXYGEN INTO MY BODY.  RIGHT AFTERWARDS I NOTICED HOW I WAS SLOUCHING OVER MY CHAIR AND THAT MY SHOULDERS WERE HUNCHED. AGAIN I CHANGE MY POSTURE BY STRAIGHTENING MY BACK, BEING GRATEFUL BY BEING PRESENT AND SAYING THANK YOU TO GOD, THE UNIVERSE, MY INNER HIGHER SELF FOR HELPING ME BE AWARE OF THIS.  THESE EVENTS HAVE HAPPENED NOW IN THE COURSE OF 2 MINUTES WRITING THESE LAST COUPLE OF PARAGRAPHS IMAGINE*  Gratitude is a super power: Let's dive into it.  Our brains release dopamine when we accomplish a goal that our brain perceives as being worthwhile to our survival and thus worth spending vital energy repeating for replicable results.  On a daily basis we are flooded with dopamine from smartphones, social media, sugary and fatty foods that occupy almost every isle of the supermarket. Our television sets flash and billboards beam with the newest gadget or must have doohickey and materialistic gizmo that MAINSTREAM SOCIETY SAYS WE MUST HAVE.    Entertainment is at the tip of our fingers and little do we realize how reliant we have become on such comforts and pleasures for our daily doses of dopamine.   Drugs and alcohol are more readily available to us than older generations would like us to believe. Everything around us is designed to give us a dopamine spike in return for profit. The system is broken.  We have so much that is so easily and readily given to us that we feel no natural need and desire to go out and obtain anything of value. It’s not that a person is bad because they are lazy, demotivated, unfocused and lack drive…. They live in a society where the easiest fix of dopamine comes from a television or phone screen. Our brains do not help us naturally gravitate to completing the important tasks that we set ourselves because these tasks simply do not produce the same dopamine as quickly or as effectively as easier sources.
