Whatever he was fond of as a teenager, it all ultimately came down to music: classes at a music school in accordion and piano, later contrabass, as well as DJing on two-cassette tape recorders and the first home mixes on cassettes :) Since 2006, Alexander has established himself in the music industry, making it not only a part of his life, but also a profession: producing pop music arrangements for artists in Belarus and Russia. However, he draws a clear dividing line between work and creativity. Speaking of music and personality, one can be convinced that these are inextricably linked entities. Alexander develops thanks to music and music develops thanks to Alexander. The sound palette, which he collects from different parts of his soul, is designed to convey love and peace through the prism of the facets of dub techno. His sound is built on multilayered textures, dub-style echoes and reverbs, electronic rhythms, and powerful sub-bass foundations — forming a distinctive sonic signature. The project’s debut release came out in 2010 on Symphonic Silence Inside. Since then, Brickman has collaborated with both Russian and European labels, putting out music on vinyl, CD, and digital platforms. His tracks have been supported in DJ sets by John Digweed, Marco Carola, Hernan Cattaneo, Deepchord, Kirk Degiorgio, and Nadja Lind. Between 2010 and 2019, Brickman performed live extensively at St. Petersburg venues such as Stackenshneider, Mosaique, Efir, Griboedov, MOD, and Berthold Center, as well as on RTS.FM and Vinyl Jam broadcasts, and at festivals including Abstraction and VPEREDSOMOTRYASHCHIY.
