Moving out is an amazing feeling, until you realize that you in this process alone. To be honest, it gets anxious when you remember that you will have to buy things to fill your house, pay rent and fix the holes in your bathroom. Sucks right? But there is a joy of being able to live under your own roof and throw the “as long as I am under my roof card.” In this week’s episode, I share my tips on what to do when looking for a house. Finishing school is always exciting- until you realize the harsh experiences one has to go through. There are Skills we were not taught in school, yet they are relevant in our day to day life. I mean, Undergrad was meant to sharpen us and make us better people. Instead, we left not knowing how to communicate, how to file tax returns, how to think and how to repair broken stuff. Join me as I expound more on Postgrad hustles, and discuss solutions that we can use to navigate through adulting. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/valerie-amondi/message
For many of us, it is easier to advocate for others than it is to speak up for ourselves. However, when we don't speak up for ourselves, we erode our sense of self-worth. I share how I am learning how to speak up for myself in the workplace (not an easy feat but I will get there eventually) --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/valerie-amondi/message --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/valerie-amondi/message

Every episode of Post Grad Space shares an element of learning and understanding that adulting is not a destination but a journey. You begin as a rookie, but you surely end up with lessons (often times painful). You have probably heard of a doctor who is a DJ, a writer and a social media expert. You have probably asked yourself, how do they take the time to fill all these shoes and remain extraordinary. I ask myself the same question. Truth is in a competitive world today, having one skill may not cut out for you. Sometimes, you might need to stack them up and keep learning to remain relevant in the society.  On this week's episode, I speak to Emily who is a fitness lover, a social media expert and a freelancer.
