It's Halloween. You've been gone so long. We missed you so much. Welcome home.
We are featuring the first podcast episode from Asheville's Word on the Street Squad. This group of Black and Latinx youth have written and produced a podcast exploring cultural roots and power by speaking about Dia De Los Muertos and Voodoo, telling stories they have heard in their families and cultures, and reflecting on how Halloween has culturally appropriated them, perpetuating oppression. They are also in the midst of their annual fundraiser, El Arte De La Abundancia. You can find out more, and donate towards their goal, by visiting www.artedelaabundancia.org.
Palimpsest: Visitations. Five stand-alone stories. Beginning April 12th.

We visit an old friend. Mirrors and denizens.
Dylan brings a date to meet his friends. Halloween party at Hawthorne House! This episode contains depictions of graphic violence, drug and alcohol use, heavy metal lyrics, and discussions of cannibalism, satanic sacrifice, and feeding children to dogs. It's awesome. Yesss I love it when stuff starts to get weird
I keep getting confused about which story I'll be listening to because "Westside Fairytales" is also telling the story of a woman named Ash moving into and fixing a big old house lol
Seemed like she feels extremely guilty of what happened and her parents placed a lot of blame on her too. She was eight years old and it boggles my mind no one ever told her it wasn’t her fault. It was absolutely her shitty parents fault for having a LOADED gun in an UNLOCKED box UNDER a bed. Kids play hide and seek. Kids crawl under beds. I mean I know it’s a story but I just kept thinking about how crappy and irresponsible her parents were! Unload gun, lock it in a lock box, or lock it in a bedside drawer or way up in the closet. How dare they blame their shitty stupid life choices.
Palimpsest manages to tell big stories while feeling so intimate. It's like a soft blanket with jagged edges. I adore it.
Wait what happened!?! Where’s the next episode that was going to come out in February 2020!?!
A lovely layered, melancholic story with great voice acting. They need a little more time to produce season 3, which gives everyone who didn't listen to seasons 1 & 2 yet a chance to catch up. #ambassadorrecommends
Season one was OK but season two was really good. So worth a listen
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Palimpsest is beautiful, melancholic, and haunting. The voice actress draws you in close and personal. Looking forward to season 3 in September.
just chill out Scott
love this podcast
Okay. I just can't. I tried to stick it out because the storyline was good. I can't do it. This girl is driving me crazy. I was really enjoying the story but the back and forth about Claire? Just no. And her lying about stuff happening with Claire? Is that supposed to make the story better?
Great podcast that is well acted with a well-developed storyline that has a touch of Hitchcock mixed with Twilight Zone. Check this out!
Not for me. I had high hopes for something intriguing, but this story just fell flat.
yes I cannot wait!!!
Absolutely beautiful podcast. Want a thought provoking, terrifying, razor sharp view of your inner demons? Ghosts are just clear images of our demons come to haunt us out of hiding. Tragically beautiful podcast that you will NOT regret listening to!❤️
