Science Fiction Versus Fantasy. Merv and Nicki fight it out over which genre reigns supreme! This one's a doozy.

Mervyn and Nicki dive into the nitty-gritty of convention schedule logistics, which might be helpful for artists who are starting out.  Mervyn discusses some of the history of Artist Alley and advocates for corner booth supremacy as Nicki warns people against heading out the same day as a convention ends (at least if you can help it!) and keeping your eyes peeled for local, non-convention events to participate in.

It's time to put on the metaphorical convention toolbelt and discuss some tools of the trade!  The underrated crayon is Nicki's go-to for coloring in commissions, and she's about to let you know some interesting history behind the waxy but mighty tool.  Mervyn weighs in on some of the crayon's cousins and his vendetta against one in particular.

One dark, stormy and fateful night, Nicki met Mervyn at a comic book store in south Florida, and the rest is history!  We learn the hidden origins of how they started as artists at conventions as well as the pros and cons of working with a partner.

Our special guest, Carrington, listens to the trials and tribulations of the collaborative artistic process and gets Mervyn to confess some of the difficulties that have to be navigated working on the job (and even some of his pet peeves)!

We return with special guests Jake and Spencer as we examine Jake's artistic journey into all things digital and the importance of self-motivation.  Mervyn and Nicki agree that passion is something artists need to drive themselves forward, and Mervyn delves into some of his own artistic process.

Join us for a delightful interview with special guests Spencer and Jake as they reminisce about how they got started in the convention scene and eventually behind our booth.  We discover that art is the great equalizer and a great way to make new friends.
