Description
The original ParaReality Radio was broadcast on Live365 from 2004 to 2009. I did over 100 episodes and three out of the five years that I was on the air I had the #1 rated talk show in my genre. I had a great time and interviewed some wonderful guests.
For this show here on Spreaker, I'll be replaying all of my old Live365 shows in order, beginning with the very first show that I ever did. Things were a little rough in the beginning but I eventually found my style. I hope you enjoy listening to these replays.

Crop circles have been appearing in grain fields all over the earth during the last few decades. They appear suddenly, usually at night. At first they were simple circles of bent-over grain stalks. Soon a new crop of more elaborate designs evolved - geometric forms reminiscent of profound mathematical theorems. Some say that these diagrams must be created by intelligent alien beings from elsewhere. Even though these diagrams must be constructed in a very short timespan, the genuine crop circles never show any serious mistakes or blunders of execution. Investigators see this as evidence that the aliens must be very intelligent and much more advanced than we are. That's mere speculation, of course. There are those crop circles that are made by human hands - pranksters who are seeking fame or just want to create something artistic. However, all crop circles can't be explained away as being man-made. Some designs are too complicated to be made overnight by a few people stomping on wooden blocks in a wheat field. This brings up the question of who really made them? Was it really aliens? Did humans really do all this? Was it some kind of as yet unexplained natural phenomenon? I'll be taking a look at all these as I investigate the mystery of the crop circles on this episode of ParaReality Radio. By now, I was closing in on the first season of ParaReality Radio. I had really gotten into my groove by now and had established the flow of the show and myself as a serious broadcaster. This episode originally aired on Live365 on 11/27/2004.
Synchronicity is a word coined by the Swiss psychologist Carl Jung to describe the temporally coincident occurrences of acausal events. It was a principle that he felt compassed his concept of the collective unconscious, in that it was descriptive of a governing dynamic that underlay the whole of human experience and history, social, emotional, psychological, and spiritual. Jung believed that many experiences perceived as coincidence were due not merely to chance, but instead potentially reflected the manifestation of coincident events or circumstances consequent to this governing dynamic. Jung spoke of synchronicity as being an "acausal connecting principle" (ie. a pattern of connection that is not explained by causality). Jung believed the traditional notions of causality were incapable of explaining some of the more improbable forms of coincidence. Where it is plain, felt Jung, that no causal connection can be demonstrated between two events, but where a meaningful relationship nevertheless exists between them, a wholly different type of principle is likely to be operating. Jung called this principle "synchronicity." Implicit in Jung's concept of synchronicity is the belief in the ultimate "oneness" of the universe. As Jung expressed it, such phenomenon betrays a "peculiar interdependence of objective elements among themselves as well as with the subjective (psychic) states of the observer or observers." Jung claimed to have found evidence of this interdependence, not only in his psychiatric studies, but in his research of esoteric practices as well. On this episode of ParaReality Radio, I will take a look at Synchronicity, give some examples of it and let you make up your own mind if it's real....or coincidence? This episode was originally broadcast on Live365 on November 5, 2004.
Vampires subsist by feeding on the life essence of living creatures. In folkloric tales, they often visited loved ones and caused mischief or deaths in the areas they inhabited when they were alive. They wore shrouds and were often described as bloated and of ruddy or dark countenance, markedly different from today's gaunt, pale Vampire which dates from the early 1800s. Although vampiric entities have been recorded in most cultures, the term Vampire was not popularised until the early 18th century, after an influx of Vampire superstition into Western Europe from areas where Vampire legends were frequent, such as the Balkans and Eastern Europe, although local variants were also known by different names, such as vrykolakas in Greece and strigoi in Romania. This increased level of vampire superstition in Europe led to what can only be called mass hysteria and in some cases resulted in corpses actually being staked. The Vampire, a creature once feared above all others has now become a mere shadow of its former self. It is now more a literary creation than a thing to be feared. But do not be fooled. The Vampire is nothing, if not durable. This was my very first "Halloween Special" episode. I actually received some good reviews and I'm still quite proud of all the research that I put into this episode. It originally aired on Live365 on October 22, 2004.
This episode discusses the different types of ghosts and how you can learn to identify them yourself. I'll also talk about the many types of hauntings that these ghosts, spirits and poltergeists present themselves in.This episode originally aired on October 8, 2004.
An unidentified flying object, or UFO, in its most general definition, is any apparent anomaly in the sky that is not identifiable as a known object or phenomenon. Such anomalies may later be identified, but depending on the evidence or lack of evidence, such an identification may not be possible generally leaving the anomaly unexplained. While stories of unexplained apparitions have been told since antiquity, the term "UFO" was officially created in 1953 by the United States Air Force to serve as a catch-all for all such reports. Studies have established that the majority of UFO observations are misidentified conventional objects or natural phenomena - most commonly aircraft, balloons, noctilucent clouds, nacreous clouds, or astronomical objects such as meteors or bright planets with a small percentage even being hoaxes. Between 5% and 20% of reported sightings are not explained, and therefore can be classified as unidentified in the strictest sense. While UFOs have been the subject of extensive investigation by various governments and although a few scientists have supported the extraterrestrial hypothesis, almost no scientific papers about UFOs have been published in peer-reviewed journals. The void left by the lack of institutional scientific study has given rise to independent researchers and groups, including the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP) in the mid-20th century and, more recently, the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) and the Center for UFO Studies (CUFOS). The term "Ufology" is used to describe the collective efforts of those who study reports and associated evidence of unidentified flying objects. Are UFOs real? The evidence certainly seems to suggest so. This episode of ParaReality Radio will take a look at the UFO phenomenon, present the evidence and let you make up your own mind. In folklore and parapsychology, a poltergeist is a type of ghost or other supernatural being supposedly responsible for physical disturbances such as loud noises and objects moved around or destroyed. Most accounts of poltergeists describe movement or levitation of objects, such as furniture and cutlery, or noises such as knocking on doors. Poltergeists have also been claimed to be capable of pinching, biting, hitting and tripping people. Poltergeists occupy numerous niches in cultural folklore, and have traditionally been described as troublesome spirits who haunt a particular person instead of a specific location. Such alleged poltergeist manifestations have been reported in many cultures and countries including the United States, Japan, Brazil, Australia, and most European nations, with early accounts dating back to the 1st century. Another popular theory is that poltergeist activity is caused by the angst of prepubescent teens. It is believed that they are somehow able to manifest their angst into a real, invisible force that moves objects and causes general chaos. Unable to control this force and unaware that they are causing it, they are at its mercy. This episode of ParaReality Radio originally aired on Live365 on 8/27/04.
Atlantis is a legendary "lost" island subcontinent often idealized as an advanced, utopian society holding wisdom that could bring world peace. The idea of Atlantis has captivated dreamers, occultists, and New Agers for generations. In the 1800s, mystic Madame Blavatsky claimed that she learned about Atlantis from Tibetan gurus; a century later, psychic Edgar Cayce claimed that Atlantis (which he described as an ancient, highly evolved civilization powered by crystals) would be discovered by 1969. In the 1980s, New Age mystic J.Z. Knight claimed that she learned about Atlantis from Ramtha, a 35,000-year-old warrior spirit who speaks through her. Thousands of books, magazines and websites are devoted to Atlantis, and it remains a popular topic to this very day. This episode of ParaReality Radio originally aired on Live365 on August 13, 2004.
Unidentified objects are not just confined to the sky. In fact throughout the seas, oceans, as well as lakes and rivers of the world, strange metallic objects have provoked just as much curiosity. In this case they are abbreviated as USO's - Unidentified Submarine Objects. In many cases the line separating UFO's from USO's is a slender one. Not infrequently such objects will catapult themselves from the sea to hover above the waves before vanishing at amazing speed. Are these USOs from other planets or do they come from somewhere here, on Earth, underneath our oceans? What do they want? Why do they make themselves known? This episode of ParaReality Radio is a very special one for me because it is the very first time that I actually interviewed someone. Actually, it wasn't one person, but two! Not only that, but this was also the first time that I had an in-studio guest as well! In the interview, I was talking with two former Marines who asked that they only be known by the names Horse and Zorro, so that their identities would remain anonymous. There was no particular theme and we were actually just talking about some paranormal experiences that they had both in their personal lives and while they were serving our country during a time of war. Horse, who actually became one of the most popular guests ever on ParaReality Raido (and subsequently made a few more appearances), revealed the contents of a secret document that came into his possession that revealed a secret so shocking that its hard to believe that it could be true! This was a very special episode of ParaReality Radio that turned out to be one of the most popular, and controversial, episodes in the show's history. It originally aired on Live365 on July 24, 2004.
This is the final episode in a 3 part series about the religion of Wicca. This episode will focus on the magick circle and the 8 days of power. This was the first series of episodes that I did all about the same subject. I received both positive and negative comments regarding my take on the subject, however most of the comments were good and people seemed to like that I was taking the subject matter seriously and treating it with respect. This episode originally aired on Live365 on 7/9/2004.
This is the second in a three part series about the religion of Wicca. This episode focuses on the practice of magick in the Wiccan religion and the use of certain tools in ceremony. By this time in the show's history, it had become so popular that I had to expand it to a 2 hour bi-weekly show. This episode is the first 2 hour episode that I did and set the blueprint for the show that I am still following today. I hope you enjoy it.Turn On, Tune In & Find Out!
This is a positive and practical introduction to the religion of Wicca. It is a gentle, Earth-oriented religion dedicated to the Goddess and God. Any interested person can learn to practice this religion anywhere in the world. This is the first of a 3 part series devoted to this topic. It was one of the most popular topics of my first season. By now, I had began to gain some popularity and had even gained an official "sponsor" for the show in the form of a horror movie review/forum website called Horropinion. The operators of this website had graciously agreed to host the official forum for the show in exchange for my mentioning them on air. It was a great relationship that proved to be a very profitable partnership as far as recognition and exposure were concerned. This episode originally aired on Live365 on June 18, 2004.
On June 30, 1908 In a remote part of Russia, a fireball was seen streaking across the daytime sky. Within moments, something exploded in the atmosphere above Siberia’s Podkamennaya Tunguska River in what is now Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia. This event – now widely known as the Tunguska event – is believed to have been caused by an incoming meteor or comet, which never actually struck Earth but instead exploded in the atmosphere, causing what is known as an air burst, three to six miles (5–10 kilometers) above Earth’s surface.
The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil's Triangle, is an undefined region in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean where a number of aircraft and ships are said to have disappeared under mysterious circumstances. The triangle does not exist according to the US Navy and the name is not recognized by the US Board on Geographic Names. Popular culture has attributed various disappearances to the paranormal or activity by extraterrestrial beings. This episode of ParaReality Radio will take a look at some of the more famous cases of the Bermuda Triangle. It was originally broadcast on 5/22/04.
Psychic Vampirism is a form of vampirism in which the vampire needs to take in more energy than most non-vampires do. Though the exact cause of psychic vampirism is yet unknown, it is suspected that psychic vampires burn through energy too quickly, and then for whatever reason, cannot compensate easily themselves. For this reason, they need to feed on non-physical energy, such as chi, or prana. This can be done a number of ways, such as feeding from ambient energy (the energy given off in crowds at a concert, for example), or feeding directly from a group or individual. The victim usually leaves the encounter feeling weak, tired and emotionally or physically drained. Depending upon the severity of the attack, it can take days to weeks or even months for the victim to fully recover. While there has been no reported cases of death caused by a psychic attack, one has to wonder if some of the unexplained deaths of otherwise healthy young people couldn't possibly be the result of psychic vampirism.
The mysterious figure known as Saint Germain was first witnessed in 1710 under the name the Marquis de Montferrat. Seen in Venice by a musician named Rameau and a Parisian socialite called Madam de Gergy, he had the appearance of a man between 40 and 50 years of age. It was an appearance he would hold all his life, and he would only officially die in 1784. However, many people believe he never actually passed away. For his entire life he looked like a middle-aged, strongly built man of average height. He was an amazing raconteur with incredible stories, and had some impressive talents. He could create fantastic jewels, had a complete understanding of music and art, and was able to provide people with potions which he claimed were the elixir of youth. He was never seen to eat or drink, but he enjoyed the company of women and mixed with the aristocracy. He never seemed to age. Is he still alive today? The Jersey Devil is a legendary creature or cryptid said to inhabit the Pine Barrens of Southern New Jersey, United States. The creature is often described as a flying biped with hooves, but there are many different variations. The most common description is that of a kangaroo-like creature with the head of a goat, leathery bat-like wings, horns, small arms with clawed hands, cloven hooves and a forked tail. It has been reported to move quickly as to avoid human contact, and often is described as emitting a "blood-curdling scream." Legend has it that in 1735, a Pines resident known as Mother Leeds found herself pregnant for the thirteenth time. (Leeds is the name of one of New Jersey’s earliest settlers, and many descendants of the Leeds family can still be found throughout NJ to this day.) Mother Leeds was not living a wealthy lifestyle by any means. Her husband was a drunkard who made few efforts to provide for his wife and twelve children. Reaching the point of absolute exasperation upon learning of her thirteenth child, she raised her hands to the heavens and proclaimed “Let this one be a devil!”
This episode of ParaReality Radi originally aired on Live365 on March 20, 2004 and quickly became one of the most popular episodes on the show. It generated numerous follow-up shows and is still one of the most talked about episodes. The Lumbee are one of 8 state-recognized Native American tribes in North Carolina. They are concentrated in Robeson County on the southern border of the state. The Lumbee are not a federally recognized tribe, and their attempts to gain federal recognition are a source of continuing controversy. Due to their multiracial origins and the domination of slavery as a racial caste in the South, the Lumbee have struggled with the issue of identification as Native American. The US Federal Government still refuses to grant the Lumbee federal recognition because the Lumbee don't look like traditional Native Americans, don't act like them or have no typical Native American customs or language. Why is this? This could be because their ancestry can be traced all the way back to the mysterious "Lost Colony" of Roanoke, VA. Many of their last names are the same as those of the colony and the theory is that the colony actually merged with the Native Americans of the area, commonly known as Croatons. Could this be true? I'll present the evidence on tonight's show and let you make up your own mind! Turn On, Tune In & Find Out!
The mythical Dragon has been a fascination of human beings from times long past. Are they real, from another dimension or simply the product of overactive imaginations? Join me as I shed some light on Dragons and their origins. By now, I had already realized that an hour long show wasn't going to be enough so I had expanded the show to 90 minutes. At this point in my career, I had finally started to find out who I was as a broadcaster and what my style would be. You'll notice that things are starting to flow more smoothly with the show. This episode of ParaReality Radio originally aired on 2/20/04.
Spontaneous combustion occurs when an object -- in the case of spontaneous human combustion, a person -- bursts into flame from a chemical reaction within, apparently without being ignited by an external heat source. The first known account of spontaneous human combustion came from the Danish anatomist Thomas Bartholin in 1663, who described how a woman in Paris "went up in ashes and smoke" while she was sleeping. The straw mattress on which she slept was unmarred by the fire. In 1673, a Frenchman named Jonas Dupont published a collection of spontaneous combustion cases in his work "De Incendiis Corporis Humani Spontaneis." The hundreds of spontaneous human combustion accounts since that time have followed a similar pattern: The victim is almost completely consumed, usually inside his or her home. Coroners at the scene have sometimes noted a sweet, smoky smell in the room where the incident occurred. This show originally aired on Live365 on 2/6/04. It is definitely not my best work, but remember, I was still trying to figure out how to do all this and I hadn't yet found my groove. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy this early episode.
