I have 2 very special guests, Debby Ruiz and Ramona Ivascu. Their story hit our community incredibly hard on January 19, 2020. Their sons lost their lives in a tragic and intentional accident when they were chased down and ran off the road by an enraged man because of a ding dong ditch prank. There were 6 boys in the car, only 3 survived. 2 of the boys’ mothers are here with us today to share their journey that has led them to forgiveness and to share what God has done in their lives since the accident. Fayanna is the wife to her husband, Teddy and mama to 3 amazing children and their amazing spouses. She has 5 beautiful Grandchildren who call her “Omi “ Fayanna has had the opportunity to speak for various audiences over the last 30 years. Her heart now is towards the overlooked, destitute and marginalized. Traveling to Africa, many times, and to Thailand to work with women and children, who need justice in various forms. Her and her family have hosted 6 children from remote parts of the world for life saving surgeries through an organization called “ Memding Kids int. Anytime she has an opportunity to speak, she always wants to be able to offer the listener something to think about, cry about and laugh about. She is working on her first book due out in 24’ titled: “I’m tired of hating my hair”…Accepting the messes of life, and resting in its beauty. She lives in Lake Arrowhead California and travels all over the country so she can snuggle with all her kids / grandkids spread out from coast to coast. 🤍

On this show you will meet Jennifer, here is her story: Hi. My name is Jennifer Gardner Habicht and in July of 2000 I was 23 years old and was living my best life. My family moved us to Riverside when I was 4 so I grew up in Riverside and we attended a private Christian school. I was working for the Mary S Roberts Shelter, a local no-kill shelter. I would rescue dogs and cats from the local shelter for rehab and adoption before they were to be euthanized. I was also working at a vet’s office and wanted to be a Vet someday. I had recently moved out and into the country where I could ride my horses and run the rescues overflow kennels. I have always loved animals and have had more than most during my life. My favorite pass time when I wasn’t riding my horse was hanging out with my brother and sisters. I was also working in the children’s ministry at my church. Life was so good and held such wonderful and exciting potential. I was blessed. There are time markers in our lives that are created when huge events take place. An example of this would be when you graduate from high school or when you get married. Most of the time these time markers are created by decisions that we make. I had no way of know that someone else’s bad decision would create that time marker for me and all of my family. Things forever were labeled either BC or AC, before the crash or after the crash. That was my new time marker. My life, as I knew it, died that day.
