Donna Summer, the queen of Disco, a name synonymous with the divas of the music industry, has rightfully earned her place in the prestigious Diva Hall of Fame. Alongside icons like Diana Ross, Cher, and Madonna, Donna Summer's legacy as the Queen of Disco is undisputed.
With the recent release of the Neil Bogart biopic "Spinning Gold," which chronicles the illustrious career of this visionary pop music hitmaker, who also happened to be the head of one of the most successful music labels capitalizing on the Disco trend of the 1970s, and the upcoming HBO documentary titled "Love To Love You," which features never-before-seen photographs and video footage shot by Miss Summer herself and has extensive involvement from her daughter Brooklyn Sudano, Party Favorz, felt it was finally time to pay tribute to the most important part of Donna Summer's career and her timeless songs that earned her the title "Queen of Disco."
Previous tribute sets to Donna Summer by Party Favorz featured the original versions of her songs. However, due to the nature of the way songs were created in the past, with live orchestras and bands, the tempos were not always conducive to modern DJ mixing. This was evident in her retrospective album "On The Radio" released in 1980, where the label released a mixed version of the songs in an edited format, using synthesized effects in between songs to create the illusion of a mix. Party Favorz, took on the challenge of editing the original versions into a continuous mix that utilized more of the lengthy originals, staying true to the original sound of Donna Summer's music, and the result was fantastic.
This revisited series of Donna Summer's music also delves into her often-overlooked repertoire from the 1980s, a mixed bag of hits and misses. However, when Donna Summer nailed it, she did so with great fanfare, and Party Favorz wanted to showcase these gems, allowing listeners to experience more of her songs as they were originally released for the dance floor. With some dramatic tempo changes in the songs, Party Favorz got creative in finalizing the track order to ensure a seamless listening experience for Donna Summer's devoted fans, who are sure to be pleased with the final product.
Donna Summer's career had a resurgence in the late 1990s, resulting in an entirely new era for her music. While Party Favorz has previously released what was thought to be the ultimate collection of this period, the continuous release of new modern-day remixes of her biggest hits has prompted a second volume, set to drop later this year, to capture this ongoing evolution of Donna Summer's music.
It's worth mentioning that Party Favorz relied heavily on Digital Visions edits for this set, as DJ Freddy, the mastermind behind Digital Visions, was instrumental in the creation of the Ultimate Trash Disco series and has contributed many never-before-released edits for Donna Summer's music in this release. DJ Freddy is currently battling cancer and, as healthcare costs in the United States can be exorbitant, Party Favorz encourages fans to contribute to his GoFundMe page to help offset the costs of his treatment and show support for this esteemed DJ and music enthusiast.
Donna Summer's indelible mark on the music industry as the Queen of Disco is undeniable, and this tribute to her iconic music is a testament to her enduring legacy. Her songs continue to captivate audiences around the world, and her influence on the music landscape will never fade.

K.D. Lang is Canadian pop and country singer known for hits such as "Constant Craving" and "Miss Chatelaine" from her Grammy award-winning and multi-platinum album "Ingénue ." She came on my radar in 1989 riding high on the "cowpunk" trend of the late 80s that included BoDeans and Lone Justice. For me, that label wasn't fitting for her style as she was a classic country crooner. But, like Maria McKee of Lone Star fame — there was something unique about her and lordy that voice.
While already receiving praise for her first two albums "Shadowland" and "A Truly Western Experience," and "Angel with a Lariat" (the latter two with the Reclines), it was her album (also with the Reclines) "Absolute Torch and Twang," that blew me away. The comparisons between K.D. Lang and Patsy Cline were well deserved and "Pullin' Back the Reins" remains one of my all-time favorites.
By 1992, she moved in a more pop-centric direction that still retained elements of her folk roots and released "Ingénue." This album and the lead single "Constant Craving" brought her not only acclaim but the worldwide recognition she rightfully deserved.
Her performance of the Leonard Cohen classic "Hallelujah" at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Colombia is only bested by Whitney Houston's "Star Spangled Banner" in live event vocal performances. Her rendition was not only stirring but heartfelt, which mesmerized me at the same time. If there ever was any doubt about this woman's talent — this performance was proof of the contrary.
It wasn't until a year later that Abigail covered "Constant Craving" and made the song an underground Eurodance hit. Her label subsequently commissioned remixes for several of her new releases going forward. You know how us gay folk operate. If we latch onto someone — we're gonna remix it and put it on the dancefloor.
K.D. Lang's induction into the Diva Hall of Fame represents all the singles that were remixed by her label in various iterations (save "Constant Craving," which is an edit of the original). It is with great pleasure to include one of our own in the Diva Hall of Fame as Miss K.D. Lang takes her rightful place among the many talented women that have filled up this ever-expanding series. I don't know how K.D. feels about her music being remixed but we adore this woman and it's our way of showing our gratitude for sharing her talent with the rest of the world. I cannot think of a better person to represent the LGBTQ+ community. We love you.

Well, folks, after climbing out of the pandemic only to be hit by high inflation with rising costs in gas, food, and housing, you name it — I'd say 2022 has been an uneven year at best. Our household capped the year off with flooding of our unit from the 4th floor down. It reeks to high heaven of mildew in here and the complex is moving us into a hotel later today because our home is in complete disrepair. We managed to save our furniture and my workstation but the smell is so bad it's messing with my sinuses and I need to leave before my right eye starts bulging out of the socket. I have previous experience in this area and mold and mildew are not something you want to mess around with.
While the Blow Your Own Horn series is typically meant to be created as a giant end-of-year celebration that's created in one sitting to give it a live feel — I had to piece this together over a few days just to finish it. I haven't had a chance to preview most of it yet so, fingers crossed.
I want to thank every one of you that has stuck with Party Favorz through thick and thin. The future of my baby is still up in the air and those decisions will be finalized by the spring. Until then, I hope everyone has a fabulous New Year. Stay safe, party hard, and play this mother fucker LOUD! ENJOY!!!

Party Favorz is back with Volume 2 of the Top Dance Songs of 2022. I'm going to be honest about this year's entries for Top Dance Songs. 2022 has been less than a stellar year for club music. It's not that there weren't any great songs this year because there were but new releases appear to be dominated by a handful of artists who put their signature on their productions (remixes), which all have a familiar style that's becoming stale. Without naming names, much of it is dark, rather depressing in a seedy kinda way, and frankly... tired.
New releases have been few in between and those BIG hits have been even further apart. By the end of every year, it's not untypical for there to be at minimum three massive breakout hits that carry over well into spring the following year. I'm telling you now, they don't exist. Even the resurgence of NuDisco has gotten tired. You can only get away with the same plodding beats set to different lyrics over and over before people get bored. Disco was so much more than this singular style and what's out there now doesn't come close to representing the genre.
Much of the juice and originality (even if sampling an older song) isn't there. Is 2023 going to be the year that new music by Madonna, Janet Jackson, and Rihanna accompanied by tours resurrects a stale industry? Their tours definitely will but it's hard to say what these leading ladies will be able to accomplish on the dance floor. I've been screaming for Madonna to revisit her early output with a modern twist but from the looks of it — she isn't taking my advice. If she did, she could have that elusive middle-aged global #1 hit that brought Cher back from the grave in 1998 but hey, what do I know? Hopefully, she'll surprise us.
Then there's Rihanna who delivered the theme song for Wakanda Forever, which was her Beyonce Lion King delivery (forgettable). She's performing at the Super Bowl Half Time this year which can only mean new music. Hopefully nothing like "Lift Me Up" on her forthcoming album.
As far as Janet is concerned, most of the buzz is around her tour. She did say that new music is on the way and I'd like to be pleasantly surprised but sadly doubtful.
2023 has been a big year for Latino music. Whether it's from the Caribbean, South, or North America — there's an abundance of artists that are breaking barriers and having major crossover success. This wave is even bigger than 1999 - 2001 when Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, and Shakira shattered records and airplay with massive hits. The difference is that most of them are doing this while still singing in their native language which is another major milestone. Most of these songs are natural fits for remixes from Big Room to House Music. Party Favorz is looking forward to hearing more from these artists assuming they can keep up with major label demands and stay fresh.
With everything in my life having gone to shit for the past couple of months — maybe it's forcing me to look through a cynical lens as 2022 comes to an end but I've been skittish all year long so I don't think so. Even the year got off to a slow start with our first releases dropping in February because there was a shortage of new quality dance music. Thankfully, I've got the next round of Millennial Dance Classics to fill in the inevitable gap while we wait for new releases.
Sorry if I come across as a Debbie Downer but from my vantage point — the pandemic has really fucked over the entire dance music industry. Maybe it's for the better and newer DJs and artists will find their voice and style while bringing us something new and fresh that doesn't follow the same old trends or rely heavily on old songs to generate a new hit. Only time will tell. All I can say is that the big and independent labels need to stop peddling regurgitated crap because the audience is smarter than you think. If you're one of the handful of fortunate DJs or producers that hit it big in the past couple of years — it's time to shake up your game because you can just as easily be replaced. Ask Calvin.
I'll be back mid-week with our final send-off for the year with our annual Blow Your Own Horn. Until then...ENJOY!

Since 2020, Billboard has eliminated its coveted Top Dance Club Songs chart and its Top Dance Electronic Dance Songs chart has dwindled into a state of irrelevance as the reporting methods used for rankings are rigged in favor of full album releases giving preference to full albums as opposed to individual songs. Another chart regularly visited was MusicVF whose charts for the U.S. and the U.K. were of significant importance has dropped their Top Dance Songs of the Year chart. This has left a void where Spotify or even to a lesser extent — Beatport would pick up the fragments but they too have abandoned their year-end charts with Beatport favoring editorial lists and Spotify leaving it up to amateur accounts to create their own, which leaves a lot to be desired. Individual YouTube accounts have posted consolidated mixes of the biggest dance songs of the year but once again — they're subjective and generally rush the songs to get them squeezed into a single mix.
Most of this shift is due to the pandemic and various smaller clubs and venues closed for 2 years and didn't have the cash flow to pay rent or re-open once the economy improved. That and music festivals were canceled (unless you live in a dumbass state like Florida where they pander to the least informed of their population). All of these factors had a ripple effect throughout the music industry hitting dance music the hardest.
For the past 15 years, Party Favorz has been offering the most comprehensive picture of the biggest dance songs of any given year that date back to 1999. We've also compiled "ultimate" collections of various decades that dig deeper than year-end charts for those dance gems that were underground hits and never charted or had a low position on the charts despite an overwhelming fan base. Our year-end offerings also contain bootleg remixes of popular songs that were never intended for the dance floor but were so big at radio or streaming that a series of fanmade remixes would appear and gain traction in clubs.
Long gone are the days when most record labels felt the need to pay professional DJs to remix their artist's pop releases allowing bedroom DJs and up-and-coming DJs/producers/remixers to do the work for them. You can't put a price on that type of publicity and it's all for free. Then there are the independent releases and partnerships with professional remix outlets like Tiesto and top artists to create dance hits. Even David Guetta has supplanted Dave Aude and remained relevant as more artists seek his expertise in crafting dance hits that crossover to radio and streaming with full support from their major labels.
Rest assured, Party Favorz is the defacto source for your club adventures by capturing the highest moments in dance music throughout 2022. I dare say, you won't find anything near as comprehensive and on the mark as our year-end Top Dance Songs series. Call us arrogant, but we spend countless hours going through all the past year's releases and matching them up with views, streams, ranking, and overall popularity from various sources to create this series. Comparing them to the sets we released throughout the year — we're pretty consistent in picking the hits. There are three songs we missed this year (included here), but that was only because we generally don't use electronic dance music (which can be anything except dance floor ready) unless there are accompanying remixes for the song, which usually doesn't happen until they've exploded in popularity. Sometimes those remixes don't show up until later and by the time they do — we've moved on. So, we're not claiming perfection in our choices but we're as close to accurate as you're likely to get.
For the moment, these are your top dance songs of 2022 (or at least half of them). Volume 2 will be dropping by mid-week. Until then...ENJOY!

We have finally arrived at the grand finale of the 'Thank God It's Disco' series, and volume 8 offers a richly packed 4-hour set. This compilation provides an appealing mix of familiar favorites and rare gems among popular disco songs, each carefully remastered for today's audience.
A standout track in this volume is Chemise's "She Can't Love," an underground masterpiece from 1982. Its catchy riff might ring a bell due to its frequent sampling over the years. Purple Disco Machine meticulously remastered this classic, keeping its original charm intact while adding a touch of their disco-funk signature style.
Another treasure among popular disco songs is "New York Moving" by Ahzz, given a fresh lease of life by DJ Disco Cat. The version included here is not only polished for enhanced sound quality, but also rearranged to create a more immersive listening experience.
No collection of popular disco songs is complete without a tribute to the French band Ottawan and their iconic hit "D.I.S.C.O." Originating in 1979, this song has been sampled numerous times, even being covered by N-Trance and The Young Professionals. An interesting piece of trivia is that one of the song's authors, Daniel Vangarde, is the father of Thomas Bangalter, one half of the legendary French house duo Daft Punk.
This eighth volume of the series is released with a heavy heart, marking the recent passing of Irene Cara, the phenomenal singer behind the theme songs of 1980s hits like "Fame" and "Flashdance...What A Feeling." Cara, whose powerful voice and infectious energy left an indelible mark on disco, passed away at 63. This final volume is dedicated to her memory and her contribution to popular disco songs. Irene Cara Escalera (March 18, 1959 – November 25, 2022), may you rest in peace.
Until the next time...ENJOY!

Since the launch of the sixth volume of 'Thank God It's Disco,' fans have eagerly awaited the next iteration. Party Favorz has been diligently curating a fresh collection of the best disco tunes for over a year, and we are excited to announce not just one, but two forthcoming releases.
For those new to this journey, the 'Thank God It's Disco' series is a carefully curated compilation of the best disco tunes from the 70s and 80s. These classics have been intricately remixed, reimagined, or subtly updated to align with contemporary musical tastes, while faithfully preserving the essence of the original track. It's not rare for us to feature different versions of the same song, remixed by various DJ/producers, each bringing their unique perspective to the remix. Although there might be some unintentional duplications by the same artist, these are rare and typically occur due to a re-release appearing in my DJ Pool without prior knowledge of its previous inclusion.
The upcoming volume is filled with lesser-known classics, exciting the most ardent disco enthusiasts. You may discover that the rhythm of many tracks has been sampled and used in other songs from the 90s or even more recent hits. Even for a seasoned disco aficionado like me, the joy of recognizing these reused beats in newer compositions is always surprising and rewarding.
For instance, "She Can't Love You" by Chemise, featured in volume 8 of this series, is a great example. This underground house classic from the early 80s was the inspiration for Sean Biddle's "Get Up and Dance" in the early millennium. Now, Purple Disco Machine has remixed the original, spotlighting it in all its 80s synth glory. These unexpected remixes are like a pleasant shock to the system, revealing the depth of crate-digging these DJs must undertake to discover these gems.
The age of these best disco tunes should not deter anyone from enjoying their infectious charm. Many of these songs form the backbone of today's hits, such as Beyonce's "Renaissance." Furthermore, these tracks have been carefully updated and optimised for today's listeners, ensuring their relevance and enjoyment.
So, prepare to reignite your passion for D-I-S-C-O with these masterfully reimagined best disco tunes. It's time to hit the dance floor and ENJOY!

Donna Summer's "Bad Girls," renowned for its rebellious spirit and catchy hooks, gets an exciting, new interpretation in the Eugenio Fico Mix. The remix refreshes the classic track, making it even more compelling for today's listeners.
The DJ Meme Definitive Remix of "Stomp!" by The Brothers Johnson expertly modernizes the original's funky essence. The remix perfectly combines classic disco elements with fresh beats, offering an irresistible groove.
The list of remixed top-rated disco songs continues with the Jet Boot Jack Remix of Teddy Pendergrass's "Get Up, Get Down, Get Funky, Get Loose." The remix perfectly captures the original's upbeat energy, introducing contemporary sounds that ensure its relevance on today's dance floors.

In the Paul Parsons Club Mix of Chanson's "Don't Hold Back," the original's strong vocals remain a highlight, complemented by a more energetic beat. The result is a potent remix that commands listeners to get up and dance.
Gino Soccio's "Dancer Delight" and Sugar Hill Gang's mashup by Paul Jockey & Lissat ingeniously merges the two tracks. It takes the best elements from each song, weaving them together in a thrilling composition that keeps the dance floor vibrant.
Meanwhile, the Dr Packer Remix of Sylvester's "Do Ya Wanna Funk" adds an electrifying touch to the iconic track. The remix maintains the original's spirit while reimagining it with a modern, funky twist.
DJ Meme's Reconstruction Remix of George Michael's "Outside" and Barry Harris's 2021 Remix of The Jacksons' "Can You Feel It" offer fresh takes on these beloved classics, transforming them into exhilarating contemporary anthems.
The remixes of top-rated disco songs don't stop there. Diana Ross's "The Boss" (Block & Crown Mix), Leo Sayer's "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing 2021" (Club Mix), and many others have all been revitalized. On a fabulous autumn day in Atlanta, Party Favorz is elated to release the fifth volume of the 'Thank God It's Disco' series. This compilation is a tribute to the 70s and 80s best disco songs, updated with a fresh twist. Each track, whether it's a classic disco tune from the 70s or a rhythmic gem from the 80s, receives a makeover for the modern era. Some retain the essence of the originals while others incorporate unique spins, including mash-ups of two timeless disco hits.
Take for instance, Gloria Gaynor's 'Never Can Say Goodbye', remixed by Jet Boot Jack. This new version maintains Gaynor's iconic vocals, albeit in a re-sung form, providing a refreshing yet familiar feel. On the other hand, 'I Will Survive', revamped by Anthony Fennel, presents an intriguing blend of the classic melody with contemporary House elements.
Michael Zager Band's 'Let's All Chant' remixed by Block & Crown, employs the original stems but omits the distinctive 'uh-ah, uh ah' sequence, which may come as a surprise to some. Yet, it still encapsulates the spirit of the 70s and 80s best disco songs.
Looking ahead, next week will bring a pleasant divergence with an updated Legacy set from an artist who has surged in popularity, making this an exciting addition to your collection. We're also featuring a legendary diva whose timeless hits have recently been reimagined, promising to thrill fans of the 70s and 80s best disco songs. Stay tuned!

Our 'Thank God It's Disco' series, known for featuring some of the 'Disco Music Best Hits', is back with its vibrant fourth installment. Tracks for this edition have been sourced from various corners, curated over time, laying the foundation for not just this volume, but also forthcoming fifth and sixth volumes.
You might find a few echoes of earlier editions, but these tracks have been ingeniously reimagined by different DJs, adding a unique, contemporary vibe. The undisputed maestro of 'Disco Music Best Hits', Dr Packer, plays a prominent role across these volumes. We also see contributions from the fiery Block & Crown and crowd-favorite DJ Meme. The missing in action DJ Barry Harris also receives a nostalgic nod.
While the throbbing rhythm of disco characterizes this volume, the soulful grooves of Funk music also have their grand moments. And for a bit of nostalgic spice, we've also peppered the collection with dance hits from the late 80s.
As we proceed, we'll be interlacing these releases with the Tony Moran Legacy series. But be prepared for some delightful surprises popping up later this month. Buckle up as we promise a dynamic month brimming with the best of Disco music. Until the next time...ENJOY!

Party Favorz is thrilled to deliver yet another colossal set, overflowing with classic disco hits. These all-time favorites have been tastefully retouched to resonate with today's discerning listeners.
Intriguingly, I've discovered that numerous well-known dance tracks from the 90s and early 2000s have borrowed notable elements from these lesser-known disco songs. For instance, the musical riff from John Davis & The Monster Orchestra's "Bourgie', Bourgie'" is unmistakably present in Gustavo Santaolalla's chart-topping club hit "The Wings" from "Brokeback Mountain." Another is Gary Gang's "Let's Lovedance Tonight," which heavily influenced the hit "Can't Get Enough" by Soulsearcher.
There's a plethora of direct and indirect references drawn from these golden era tracks. You'll notice the distinct riff from "You Don't Know Me" by Armand Van Helden appearing in several songs. The dance duo Freemasons even borrowed heavily from Jackie Moore's "This Time Baby" for their track "Love On My Mind."
In this compilation, I've purposefully included some less familiar but highly impactful tracks, alongside massive disco hits that have faded from memory. Any remix by Dr. Packer, Joey Negro, or Dimitri From Paris is worth noting, as these artists impeccably honor the original disco spirit in their work. Their comprehensive understanding of dance music history is unparalleled and worth exploring.
Even though this set was wrapped up a couple of days ago, I've since added five more tracks. Expect an extended version of Thank God It's Disco volume 4 to drop tomorrow. While we've included some renowned tracks for a dash of familiarity, the focus is on exposing you to the gems that aren't typically mainstream.
After a brief hiatus of a week to get some essential chores done, I'll be back with more fresh content from Dance Club, Circuit & Anthems, Disco House, and Peak Hour. And yes, we will have our Gay Pride sets as well.
Until the next time...ENJOY!

Party Favorz is back with another whopper-sized, disco-fueled party set of classic disco songs remixed for a modern-day audience. Party Favorz is taking you back in time with a fresh spin on the top disco songs from the iconic 70s and 80s era. Our latest edition, 'Thank God It's Disco Volume 2', is packed with classic disco songs that are either rare treasures never featured in our previous collections or innovatively reimagined for the contemporary dance floor.
These timeless hits have been masterfully remastered to meet the audio demands of current sound systems, with each DJ introducing their unique flair to the originals. The remixes, while distinct, retain the soul of the original versions, ensuring over 4 hours of uninterrupted disco euphoria.
Many of these tracks exhibit a sophisticated charm, blending smooth grooves with a pulsating boogie sensibility. Notably, tracks remixed by Dr. Packer often bear new names, making the original difficult to discern. However, we've reverted to the actual names and included the DJ's name in the title to aid your search on platforms like Juno Download, Traxsource, or Beatport.
If you've been following the disco scene closely, you might be aware of the recent pull back on remix releases by Barry Harris. But his presence is still strong on the live performance front. His Sunday Tea Dance shows, now broadcasted live on Twitch, are a spectacle of original remixes spanning from the 70s to the present day. Party Favorz is back on track, swaying to the rhythm of some of the best disco songs with a midweek dollop of nostalgia. Thank God It's Disco (T.G.I.D), a new term popularized by DJ Barry Harris, is now being amplified with his meticulous edits of oft-ignored disco tracks from the 70s and 80s. His historical work includes refreshing classic hits, primarily for Pride events. But his recent endeavors dive deeper into his record collection, rediscovering gems in Soul, Funk, and Disco. These have been re-imagined for modern audiences, transforming them into DJ-friendly tracks and rejuvenating them for contemporary dance floors.
While enhancing the existing Ultimate Trash Disco series wasn't initially my plan, I was swayed by the irresistible charm of Barry's edits. Their melody and rhythm resonated with my musical sensibilities. Consequently, I found it worthwhile to assemble these tracks for our dedicated fanbase. Barry has been delivering these edits at a relentless pace, and while he's currently touring Australia, it's given me the time to curate this extensive set. However, his future plans remain a mystery until his next release.
The track "Body Work" by Hot Streak left me intrigued. This early 80s track was new to my ears, but its infectious beat has me hooked. The remaining songs brought back memories of my childhood, obsessively tuning into AM radio and tracking the latest hits' chart movements. My fascination with music was so intense that by sixth grade, I was saving money from lawn mowing jobs to purchase the latest 45s. My passion for music remains undiminished, and I believe I share this sentiment with many others who cherish these melodic memories.
Despite the inclusion of some of Barry's past remixes in this collection, be prepared for some overlap with the most popular tunes. However, rest assured, this is some exceptionally groovy stuff.
I'm also knee-deep into the Essential 80s Dance series project. Hopefully, volume 5 will be ready for you this weekend.
Until then...ENJOY!

Steep yourself into the golden era of music with the 'Ultimate Collection of Trash Disco Volume 7', a sweeping anthology of timeless classic disco grooves. Unveiling an extensive list of 222 hits, this ultimate collection covers 20 hours+ of both chart-topping Disco favorites and hidden gems. This anthology encompasses the broad spectrum of classic disco grooves, although, regrettably, the iconic track "Macho Man" by the Village People there was no worthy edit at the time of this release.
Navigating through a labyrinth of high BPM counts and percussive-heavy anthems, the mixing of the final set presented a unique challenge. Nevertheless, it showcases fan-favorite classic disco grooves like "(You Make Me Feel) Mighty Real" by Sylvester and France Joli's soulful "Come To Me." Despite their challenging nature, these songs synergize perfectly within the grandiose collection.
Highlights include Amii Stewart's invigorating remake of the Eddie Floyd classic "Knock On Wood" and the contagious rhythms of "Lovin' Is Really My Game" by Brainstorm. Experience the weather forecast like never before with The Weather Girls' jubilant "It's Raining Men" and find joy in the uplifting "H.A.P.P.Y. Radio" by Edwin Starr. Other masterpieces like Arpeggio's "Love And Desire" and Musique's NSFW "In The Bush" (which got me in hot water with Sister Phyllis when I passed a note to a girl with the lyrics that I didn't understand in 6th grade) pay tribute to the extraordinary depth and diversity of classic disco grooves.
From the vibrant beats of Patrick Hernandez's "Born To Be Alive" to the infectious energy of "Boogie Woogie Dancin' Shoes" by Claudja Barry, every track serves as a testament to disco's indelible impact on the landscape of music history.
Get ready to embark on a nostalgic journey filled with the best classic disco grooves, where each beat, rhythm, and melody conjures up the magic of a bygone era.
If you enjoyed this series, consider checking out the Thank God It's Disco collection for reworks and modern-day versions of many of these songs.
