On our hike to Florida, this is the first of two stops. We only had a day and this was Maryse's first stop in the US capital so we focused on the Mall. Great weather and thousands of steps. It was a success.

Schwalbach walking tour and then off to Braunfels castle and Tiergarten. Played Mexican train dominoes to wrap up the evening.

Birthday girl's party (Sigrun) and a trip to Wetzlar for site-seeing and shopping.
Naumberg Saale on the way back from Berlin and a trip to Cologne to visit the city and the Sigrun's daughter.

Schloss Sanssouci, Potsdam, Aunt Edith near the Havel River and a stop at the Olympic stadium.
Downtown Berlin with Potsdammerplatz, Brandenburg Gate, Reichtag, Checkpoint Charlie, and Alexanderplatz
Travelled to Berlin at supersonic speeds with a stop at Erfurt to see the medieval town. Supper at Knese.
Arrival in Frankfurt and picked up by our hosts. Weather wasn't ideal but promises to get much better.
Golf, drinking wine, Fred and Maryse's race results, and dinner out with les Québecoises.
