In the external world, peace is often defined as "a period in which there is no war or a war has ended." I believe this applies to our internal world as well. When all parts of us are working together, and working in unison (integration), we are no longer fighting an internal war. By finding acceptance, compassion, curiosity, and love for all parts of ourselves, we discover peace.
