Mindful Practices for the modern mama  Being more mindful in our lives has become such an important and needed area in mamas lives the last few years. How does Ayurveda approach self-care? In Ayurveda, they want you to make time for yourself each day. That is why self-care is so important, especially in the fast pace environment we are living now. Slowing down to get in tune with our bodies & our minds is one of the staples of Ayurveda. Most people go so fast and don’t want to slow down to notice how they are truly feeling. Ayurveda is really geared to help you become more in-tune with you. Connect with Andrea 5 Day Ayurveda for Modern Mamas- 1 Month Dosha Deep Dive-

How to create a habit change Change your identity to change a habit Identify your Keystone Habit Transfer habit to an existing habit (pick a trigger) Batch your habits Make it ridiculously achievable to guarantee your success (start small) Schedule better habits...(put it on the calendar) Focus on the practice not the performance Replace bad habits with good habits Kaizen approach to habit change- small incremental improvements Surrender into the process not the outcome Figure out the “other” rewards you get from a bad habit. Rewrite those rewards into your “new” habit Connect with Andrea Free 5 Day Ayurveda for the Modern Mamas-
How can we learn to connect to the winter season in a way that nourishes us? That is the question I've been asking myself. I'm all about nourishing myself this year. If I have goals with my fitness I want them to nourish me and not deplete me. I want to do a routine that is fun and still gets the job done. That can be your approach to winter. How can you connect to winter and feel nourished and excited about these 4-5 months. Connect with Andrea
Why do we need rest? In our go go go society it’s hard to imagine that slowing down will lead to lasting results, but it’s true. That’s why intervals work so well you go all out for a bit but have time built in for rest. We have built our lives to look like always on the go without the rest component. That’s when burn-out, adrenal fatigue, and collapsed nervous systems can happen. Other reasons for rest Balance hormones Support for the immune system Reduce inflammation in the body Give our minds a break Enhance creativity Bring peace to your mind Connect with Andrea
