From addiction to expansion...
Richard Atherton is an executive coach in the structure he founded FirstHuman.
He also hosts "Being Human"โa podcast I admire with over 300 episodes ๐ฎ
But what struck me the most was not his brilliant and eclectic career (from management consultant to cabaret owner and system coder... you won't believe what Richard did in his life).
It was what he shared in this episode.
Without filters.
Without hiding.
Check a few golden nuggets:
๐ท Richard started drinking at 14.
๐ He had a brilliant academic track.
๐ He got fired from his first job for being too shy.
๐คฉ He lived a full, rich lifeโฆ while struggling with alcohol and other addictions
For years, the hangover was the only thing that helped him slow down.
His mind was too fast. Too busy.
Alcohol numbed the noise.
Later came more layers:
โก๏ธ Alcoholics Anonymous
โก๏ธ S#x and Love Addicts Anonymous
โก๏ธ Co-Dependents Anonymous
โก๏ธ Landmark Education
โก๏ธ John Bradshawโs book Homecoming
โก๏ธ Deep childhood therapy
โก๏ธ Primal scream work
An SO. MUCH. MORE.
Richard went deep.
And through that depth, he came back.
Clearer. Softer. Freer.
He now helps leaders turn away from the illusion of โWhen Iโll finally get X, Iโll be happy.โ
Because joy and connection are not at the end of the path.
Theyโre here.
Available.
When we stop running.
Itโs one of the most open conversations Iโve ever had on this podcast.

Frรฉdรฉric Roscop is no regular #Osteopath.
Last year, he was awarded Osteopath of the year and Wellbeing start-up of the year at the Forttuna Global Excellence Awardsยฎ
Most importantly, Fred is a wizard when it comes to holistic approach of care, focusing on Body, Mind and Energy.
He is a researcher in #QantumBiology and has integrated his discoveries in his brand AEQUIL.
A few things about Fred:
๐คง He was very fragile as a kid with tons of health issues
๐ฅด At the age of 8yo, he got lime disease
โ It took him over a decade to put a name on his condition, mainly because of mistaken diagnosis
โฏ๏ธ His mission is to cover the gap between long standing suffering and well being
๐ This is why all he does is about life long well being

Fellow podcasters are always awesome to host on the show.
And when Dennis Wakabayashi, CX influencer of Expo 2020, founder of CX in the wild, podcaster, public speaker, CX strategist and consultant comes in town, that's even better.
In short, Dennis is a big figure in CX.
During our conversation, we talked about fascinating topics:
๐บ๐ธ Dennis had a modest upbringing in the US and went through stigma and racism
๐จ๐ผโ๐จ He became a graffiti artist at the age of 16 and his parents learned it... waaay later
โ He did not finish high school
๐คฉ For him, life is a suicide mission where no one made it alive, so... UNLEASH your potential
๐ Measuring CX is a disadvantage when it becomes a focus
๐ฏ Obstacles to team work are: absence of Unified, Clear and Simple goals
๐ป If businesses were an orchestra, the biggest mistake they do is to focus on the music instead of the space in between the notes
AND MUUUUUUUCH MORE!!!!
Dennis, it was a true joy welcoming you on the show. Thank you for passing by and let's do this again!

"I'm not good enough", "People take advantage of me", "I'll never be perfect", "What if I disappoint?", ...
If you have ever said one of these sentences in your own mind and struggled to embark on your own journey because of them, you need to meet Elizabeth Solaru.
โจ Elizabeth Solaru is not the average guest you will listen to.
She is some kind of a phoenix ๐ฆโ๐ฅ. Not the typical image of the phoenix that comes out of a near-death experience with all the drama around it.
But rather the type of phoenix who came out of a solid and well-anchored mental framework ๐คฏ
๐คฉ Elizabeth chose another path to lead her life and contribute to the world in a way that works for her and that impacts others.
โก๏ธ Here are a few things you will discover in the episode next week:
๐ Elizabeth is an author of 2 books: one on cooking and the other one on Luxpreneurs
๐ซต She finds that often we find Inclusive Visions with Exclusive Executions
๐๏ธ A book is not just an object for sales, it is a historical document that leave a mark
๐ฆธโโ๏ธ She went from victim to hero of her own life
๐๏ธ Her podcast Luxury Business Podcast showcases small businesses in the luxury sector https://lnkd.in/dGXeiWKr
AND SO MUCH MORE!!!!
I have enjoyed this episode with you Elizabeth Solaru! Thank you for coming to the show and sharing openly what makes you #you and can inspire us on this beautiful and difficult journey that is life.

Managing my energy... Here is a difficult topic for me.
How to understand my energy? How to sync it with others? Which signals should I pay attention to? What can I do to bring a high level of energy?
These are few of the many questions we cover in the next Episode of the podcast with the great Josefine Campbell, executive coach and Author of the book Power Barometer https://josefinecampbell.com/book-power-barometer/.
During 2 hours, I had a fabulous conversation about Josefine and her upbringing, the importance of martial arts in her life, the multiple jobs she had, until she became the executive coach and author she is now.
Here are a few gems we talked about:
๐ฅ She is a quadruple champion of Japanese Jiu Jitsu in Denmark
โ๏ธ Rather than Personal ๐ Professional, try Private ๐ Professional because everything is personal
๐๏ธ It takes 7 years for ALL our cels to have changed in our body ๐ณ
๐พ She sees the mind of people like a suite of algorithms or mini programs and it helps her a lot to coach better
โก๏ธ You can check your energy level before starting a meeting (it's all in the book!)
๐ฏ We can have multiple purposes - one purpose alone does not reflect our richness and complexity

You might not be ready for this episode.
I spent well over 2h with the incredible Aurelio C. Hammer, a sound healer and explorer, an artisan crafting instruments that impact us through specific frequencies.
Aurelio lives in Auroville, the last standing utopian community of that scale (where the first ever computer company of India was born) and created a company called SVARAM Musical Instruments & Research (https://svaram.org/).
One of his specialties? The mathematics of music (I did not know such a term existed).
You won't believe what you will learn about the powers of sound and its major impacts on our physical, mental and spiritual health.
Here are some extracts of what we talk about in this episode 40:
๐ซ Each instrument touches a different layer of our being (for ex: specific frequencies trigger specific organs in our body)
๐คฉ There are NO ideal circumstances in life: we all go through struggle
๐ช๏ธ Nature can be brutal, far from the romantic idea he had of humans living in symbiosis with nature
โ We always need to be ready for the unknown
โญ๏ธ The future is more exciting to explore than the past
๐ฒ Back in the Chinese empire, music had a role in social coherence
๐ง Music opens your feeling, your sync and capacity to work with others AND your intellectual capabilities (you read that well)
๐ There is NO religion nor spiritual tradition without music
I could continue endlessly. This episode is so rich that it will probably challenge pre-conceived ideas you might not even know you have.
If you want to feel the joy of exploring new territories, you will enjoy this episode TO THE MAX ๐คฉ๐คฉ๐คฉ!!!
He was not great at school. Nor did he know what you wanted to do with his life by his early 20s.
Until he stepped in #kendo dojo.
Werner Karnadi, a Data warehouse specialist, is above and beyond the coach of the kendo Dutch national team.
If you love sports you will be hooked by what Werner talks about during our conversation. And she loves figures you will like the way we discuss data and how to approach it with a human focus.
A truly fabulous conversation for this Episode 39.
Here are some extracts of what we talked about:
๐ He underestimated the emotional impact of being laid off, and spiralled down
๐ฃ๏ธ A few words from strangers have significantly impacted his life multiple times
๐ง "Don't take things personally" is absurd. How else do you want to take things?
โYou always have to associate a powerful WHY to your goal
๐ฅ Winning a match is NOT a goal. What you do to get that point IS a goal
๐คท If I haven't figured it out, then others might have not understood it neither -> I need to explain better.

Authenticity. A word I have always struggled with.
Overused. Misunderstood. Damaging, especially when used to judge people: "He is not authentic..."
And then I received on the show Troels Mark Meyer, the author of the book The Art of Being Authentic (available here: https://a.co/d/8jQuyCb)
I enjoyed the book and yet did not agree with all of it.
I enjoyed even more exploring our respective approaches during the episode.
We both learned a lot. What a great moment of flow, what a joy to move forward with Mark during our conversation!
Here are a few nuggets of what we discussed during the episode:
๐ฅ
Goal driven and Purpose driven are 2 very different ball games with 2 different destinations
๐ Trauma is not a matter of "how big it was" but "how you perceived it"
๐ฃ Changing language when sharing your emotions can have a massive impact. Example: Transform "I am angry" into "I feel anger" and see for yourself!
๐งโ๐คโ๐ง It is not just about you. Others play a prime role in the way we live our lives
๐ช There is a strong difference between Intentions and Manifestations

And there it is. The PART II of my conversation with Josh Bishop ๐คฉ๐คฉ๐คฉ
I received a lot of feedback on PART I. The story of Josh touched and resonated with quite a lot of you.
In that second conversation, Josh and I dive a bit more into the world of film-making and Josh's career.
Here are some of the things we talked about:
๐ฌ There is a deep difference between US movies and European ones: European movies are NOT made for commerce
๐ค It truly is about who you know
๐ His first documentary Made in Japan was supposed to follow a stellar path and it did not eventually, which was a big let down
๐ You do movies because you HAVE TO (as a personal necessity), not because you WANT TO
โ Career and purpose are two very different things

Head of Partnerships. You might laugh but I did not even know this was a position in a company.
Then I met the great Dounia Jouron, PhD. And a whole world opened up.
Dounia works in a payment company, Adyen.
When we met and decided to record an episode together, I did not know what to expect.
I met a person who is driven by great principles and an obsession of the big picture, might it be at work or in her life. A truly fascinating conversation.
Here are a few things that struck me during our conversation:
๐คฒ Partnership is not a job, it is a mindset
๐ฅ Trust is not based on stories and promises, but on actions
๐ Failure is a part of a process, not something to avoid
๐ค Intuition plays a big role Dounia's way to manage her partnerships
โ When considering a partner, see how they treat THEIR customers

I do not know how to introduce this episode.
Josh Bishop will probably impact you just like me: deeply.
He is an award-winning director specializing in feature documentaries. Check what he has done here ๐ https://lnkd.in/drDJYqmf and here ๐https://lnkd.in/dNEfUYbQ.
But Josh did not have it easy.
He has one of the most incredible lives I have known so far.
A hectic life. Sometimes really tough.
Josh might not agree, but to me he is a true survivor. A miracle.
This episode is the Part 1 of our conversation. That's a first since I created the show.
Part 2 is in the making.
This is a unique episode:
- You will embark on the incredible life of Josh. A hectic journey. Tough. Full of ups and mega downs.
- You will not believe what Josh shares with us. Nor how he is alive and the great person he is today.
- You will be touched by the man, the artist, the father, the husband, the son, the brother, and more. All imperfect. All like you and me. Just real and beautiful.
My bet is that you will be changed by that episode.
And that you will desperately wait for Part 2.

Mindfulness โโโ
I could not hear this word anymore. Full of fluff. I had the sensation that everyone used it at all times for everything.
In fact, I just did not understand what mindfulness was.
Terri Allen helped me view mindfulness in a completely different way.
Because, after living the high life, creating the Dubai Fashion week 2 decades ago, working in fashion and beauty, she operated a radical change.
Terri is an incredible human being: her life is dedicated to give Children a Voice and enrich their education by TEACHING mindfulness โค๏ธ.
She wrote 2 books ๐ (in fact 3 books, you will hear that in the episode next week) for kids (find them here: https://lnkd.in/djq3T4My), has a foundation and coaches kids and parents who want to navigate the adventure of life with strong roots and landmarks.
I spent the whole conversation learning and opening my mind with Terri, broadening my horizons on a topic I found boring and misused.
Thank you Terri ๐โค๏ธ
Here a few things we talked about ๐:
โ Mindfulness is NOT about being perfect and be exempt of the hassles of life
๐ Mindfulness IS about awareness and connectedness
โ๏ธ It helps you navigate the adventure of life with solid roots
๐ง Teaching mindfulness to children has a huge impact on their upbringing
โฏ๏ธ Mindfulness helps you balance THINKING with FEELING and PRESENCE

Philosophy. If you are turned down by the word, don't waste too much time on this post.
But if, like me, you see in Philosophy an art that we need more than ever in today's world, you are about to have a goooooooood time.
Meet William Cunningham (IG profile: wjcunn1ngham), a professor in philosophy and ethics at The University of Notre Dame Australia, a brazilian ๐ง๐ท jiu-jitsu instructor and a man in life-style transition - from urban to nature.
This episode is unique.
In the 32 episodes of the podcast, I always took the time to deep dive into the life of each pf my guests. At the end, the audience and I felt we knew each guest better, sometimes intimately.
At the end of THIS episode, I still had no clue about Will's life. But I had the feeling I knew him very closely. Like a long-time friend.
This is the power of great connections.
We dived directly into a conversation about touching the Sacred and we journeyed from that point, in a free and deep flow, full of joy and mutual care.
Here are some of the things we talked about:
๐ช What we believe in is vastly inherited
โ Being open to questioning our beliefs is a critical skill to a fulfilling existence
๐จ Experiencing is key. Thinking alone leads nowhere
๐ Gratitude is a super power
โฐ๏ธ Plato's cave myth is a very useful story to understand key dimensions of life
โค๏ธ I think therefore I am (Descartes) -> I love therefore I am
And MUCH MUCH MORE ๐คฉ๐คฉ๐คฉ!!!
I often say that the most difficult battle and deep desire in my life is to truly LOVE myself.
At the end of the episode, I was thinking that maybe my true desire is to LIVE myself.
It was a fascinating conversation. Dive into it with the curiosity and joy of an explorer.

If you love any type of Martial Art, if you were an immigrant child who had to go through integration - and its pains and terrors, if you are interested in health, nutrition, autoimmune diseases, this episode is really for YOU.
I had an epic discussion with an incredible man: Marko Papuckovski, founder of Humanli Wellness and ex-MMA fighter who trained with the same coaches as the legend Georges St Pierre, a major Ultimate Fighting Championship champion.
Marko was born in Macedonia https://lnkd.in/d2D4qV5s and immigrated in Australia at the age of 9, with no English knowledge... Imagine what he had to go through.
He started Martial Arts at the age of 5 and that changed his life.
Here are some of the things we discussed during our intense conversation:
๐ฅ Martial arts is about who you are, not what you do.
๐ The two major emotions he experienced when he started his life in Australia were embarrassment and shame.
๐ฃ Mistakes are not mistakes. They are feedback.
๐คฉ You reach unbelievable levels of performance when you normalize the extraordinary (this sequence is memorable).
๐ To fulfill your ambitions and express your true self, you need to SHOW UP and CHOOSE THE RIGHT ENVIRONMENT
and MUCH MUCH MORE ๐คฉ!!!
I feel so grateful to have spent time with you Marko.

You can lose a lot of friends when you transition professionally. And it can be quite brutal.
This is what happened to Marika Messager 11 years ago when she moved from heading a trading desk (a room full of traders - just like in the movies), a lot of money, comfort and access, to... she did not really know what.
Something linked to consciousness, fulfillment and impacting others.
Marika Messager went on a quest and her story is inspirational. Between France, the UK and Kenya.
Now she helps organizations and leaders operate a SYSTEMIC CHANGE and harness the power of their consciousness.
Here are some golden nuggets that Marika shared in our conversation:
๐ฐ Money is a mask remover - this is one of the reasons why she likes it
โป๏ธ Transformation takes CLARITY, PRESENCE and CREATION
๐ Change will come from the private sector - where she makes an impact
๐ฅต It's ok to BE stuck. It's not ok to STAY stuck
๐ In the process of letting go, you find yourself
๐คฉ Success = Contribution + Positive Impact
And MUCH MUCH more ๐คฉ.
There are a few gems on how to assess people's performance; how being a savior disconnects you from your own needs; how she created a unique "Conscious Library" to make a massive impact in corporations, and the list is long.

I will start this one with a disclaimer.
Warning: This podcast includes content that may be disturbing to some listeners because of war violence stories.
Nicholas P D Seedsman is a human being like you will not meet in a long time.
He entered the Australian Navy at the age of 17 and the SAS (Special Forces) at the age of 21 https://lnkd.in/djXmxmq8. This is unique at such a young age.
During more than 3 hours, we re-visited Nicholas' life experience from his childhood to now - where he manages his investments, consults for Family Offices and resides Latin America where he operates his global foundation for war veterans.
Nicholas' choice to live a life of extreme fortitude and endurance led him to a complete collapse. This episode explores the renaissance following the nightmares of mental agony and physical powerlessness.
You will discover details about top soldiers in the world that you could never imagine. Their training, their exposure to risk, to death, to brotherhood and high principles. To injustice. To light and darkness.
Here are some nuggets of what we talked about:
๐ฅฑ At SAS you learn how to learn in extreme fatigue
โ Most of the people pushing themselves to the extreme of SAS have likely experienced significant vulnerability as a child in any shape or form.
๐ช๏ธ You can make yourself numb to escape the emotional storm in you. However it will fire back like a tsunami and force you to listen.
๐ Start with your mental health. Then your physical health. Then your soul health.
๐ "You're never good enough" can take you very far in life. BUT if you don't love yourself eventually, your body will stop operating and you'll die of it.
It is one of the most intense conversations I've had. With an exceptional human being.
Nicholas is a true warrior. A man rich of unique and extreme experiences, from the deepest darkness of the human soul, to the most joyful moments a human being can feel.
I was moved and touched by Nicholas. I hope you feel the same.
Thank you Alan Howard for connecting me to Nicholas.
I have special thoughts for the great David J. Albritton, ACC and all the war veterans.

He lost 7 kilos.
Not through a diet. In the Amazon jungle, after 6 weeks living with a local tribe.
Meet Alan Howard (IG and Tiktok @ahowy), a coach out of this world.
Not a survival coach. A freedom coach. Passionate about working with men to help them reconnect with their masculinity.
We are far from the Alpha Male macho conversation.
What Alan shares is fascinating and based on his very own experience.
Believe me, you will be speechless when you hear how brave, determined and blunt Alan is. Humble and fun too.
Alan is one of 6 siblings. He was going from paycheck to paycheck, living in his sister's basement. Until he woke up one day and transformed himself and his life.
Mostly by facing his fears one by one.
I learned so much during our conversation. Here are some snippets of what Alan shared with me:
๐ฆธโโ๏ธ Trauma creates super powers
๐ฌ If you challenge yourself, do it with a friend
๐ธ To become more masculine, you need to connect to your feminine
๐จ Do something that scares you every day (he really does it!)
โค๏ธ Express how you FEEL instead of blaming: it produces great results
๐ฌ You can LEARN how to speak to women and find joy (sometimes even love) in the conversation
โ No one is coming to save you. Take responsibility for your life

From complete darkness to no limits.
From millions to nothing. To millions again.
From mariage to divorce. To mariage. To divorce. And to mariage.
Knowing loneliness and end up impacting millions of lives.
Experiencing abuse and trusting again.
Lady JB Owen is like you and me. A unique human being.
She went through hell. Some of us would have given up. Or stopped trying half way.
It took JB to touch the bottom of all bottoms to wake up and rise up again.
The bottom where you have millions in your bank account but you are miserable, where you have kids but they call the nanny when they are scared (the ultimate nightmare), where people envy your house and your car and you are so weak that you can't stand, sit, live normally.
Now here moto is: "When you tell your story, you transform your life"
I dedicate this episode to Nathalie Sejean my sister, an immense story fabricator.
If you want to discover what happened in JB's life, don't miss this episode.
Some nuggets from our conversation:
โ NO does not exist. NO= New Option, New Opportunities.
โ It is not about the WHY, but about the WHAT (this section is mesmerizing, big breakthrough for me during the episode).
๐ It's hard for people around you to see you change.
๐ฐ Money does NOT want to sit in a bank account.
๐ The power of silence is NOT not talking. It is LISTENING.
๐ Start the day by asking "What's going to make me HAPPY today?" and do it.
๐ฅ You DON'T HAVE TO do anything. But there is a CONSEQUENCE for everything.
๐ฆ Success is a suite of micro wins that need to be celebrated.
JB has impacted me deeply from our first encounter. It is rare to meet someone so deeply grounded and peaceful, joyful and easy going.
THANK YOU JB for this episode.
You are in Luck ๐

Tatiana is now coaching top performing high level executives and entrepreneurs.
In her past life, she created her own company and run it for 15 years in Canada, where she eventually sold her shares and made her millions. She also spent a year very close to Tony Robbins - which changed her life. But these โจ things does not define Tatiana AT ALL.
Here is a sneak peek of what Tatiana shared with me during our conversation:
โค๏ธโ๐ฉน You can't rush healing
๐ช She went through Anorexia / Boulimia
๐ Success is a personal notion: own yours
โป๏ธ Your entire life can change in a split second
๐ You can be "successful" and feel empty and lost
๐ฃ Thinking of your business as your "baby" is dangerous
โฏ๏ธ True power is to use your feminine and masculine sides
๐ช๐ผ The HOW of high achievers is usually where they stumble
๐ฐ Making millions is not a good drive... if you want to make millions
