You'll know Shaun Hamill is a lifelong Alien nerd within the first few pages of his new novel Alien: Perfect Organisms (out today, November 18, wherever books are sold!). With believable characters, a healthy dose of body horror, and extensive meditations on creativity and capitalism, Alien: Perfect Organisms is a wonderful new entry in the Expanded Universe.
Join Jaime and Patrick as they chat with Shaun about how the book came together, what Alien means in his life, and how the long and rich history of Alien novels is continuing strong in the 21st century.
Be sure to check Shaun's website, follow him on socials, and order your copy of the book!

In this episode, the Perfect Organism team unites to explore what the Alien series truly means to each of them. From Patrick’s fascination with the creature itself to Andie’s devotion to character, no corner of the franchise, or the human heart behind it, is left unexplored. Joining the crew is patron and returning guest Mario Benvenuto, who inspired this episode’s theme. Together, Patrick, Perry, Andie, Holden, Mario, and contributing host Micah Greene dive deep into their enduring love for Alien, and what keeps them coming back, again and again.

One of the great thrills of covering Alien: Earth's release was getting to speak with so many people involved with the show. We aired many of these interviews throughout the season as part of our aftershow, but we had to leave almost two hours' worth on the cutting room floor for the sake of brevity.
Presented here, for the first time as a single, cohesive audio documentary, are interviews with twenty-one of the key creatives who brought Alien: Earth to life. In approximate order of appearance, you'll hear:
Jeff Russo (Composer)
Maggie Phillips (Music Supervisor)
David Rysdahl ("Arthur")
Babou Ceesay ("Morrow")
Richa Moorjani ("Zaveri")
Sandra Yi Sencindiver ("Yutani")
Kit Young ("Tootles")
Ugla Hauksdóttir (Director of Episodes 4 and 6)
Samuel Blenkin ("Boy Kavalier")
Alex Lawthor ("Hermit")
Lily Newmark ("Nibs")
Jonathan Ajayi ("Smee")
Adarsh Gourav ("Slightly")
Dana Gonzalez (Director of Episodes 2, 3, 7, and 8; DP; EP)
Steve Painter (Lead Prosthetics Supervisor)
Wētā Workshop's Joe Dunckley and Vaughan Flanagan
Cameron Brown (Creature Suit Performer)
Andy Nicholson (Production Designer)
Erana James ("Curly")
Noah Hawley (Creator; Director of 1 and 5; Writer, EP)
A handful of the actors came back at multiple points throughout the season, so you will get to hear from them at various points as well!
We are hugely grateful to FX for helping facilitate all of these. Alien: Earth is now a piece of Alien history; having this sort of access in real time as it released was an unprecedented treat for us, and we're so happy we've been able to take all of YOU along on this journey with us!

After a month-long break that felt more like a deep breath after a storm, Jaime and Patrick return to the mic following a relentless stretch of Alien: Earth coverage. In this episode, they take a long, unflinching look at where the Alien universe stands today. From the legacy of the original trilogy to the uneven terrain of everything that followed, they explore how each new entry, film, or series has both carried and fractured the weight of what came before.
They also turn their focus to the future: who might take the director’s chair for the next Alien film, and whether the franchise can still surprise us in the way it once did. It’s a lively, impassioned, and deeply reflective conversation, recorded live on YouTube, about art, vision, and the fragile state of an iconic saga.
The Alien universe stands at a crossroads, full of promise, yet shadowed by hesitation. There’s still so much left to explore, if only the right hands are willing to reach into the dark.

We're releasing this as special bonus content for our recent episode of UnEarthed: a wonderful little interview with Maggie Phillips and Jeff Russo, Alien: Earth's Music Supervisor and Composer, respectively!
Among other duties, Maggie is behind the "needle drops" in the show—a hallmark of Hawley's style, and a thrilling (if somewhat divisive) addition to the Alien universe. And Jeff was kind enough to come back on just a couple months after his first appearance on Perfect Organism to take us behind some of his already iconic music cues, giving us a glimpse into his creative process.
We're looking forward to bringing you more of these glimpses inside the making of Alien: Earth throughout the season. We will always be diligent to ensure any "spoilers" are only for the episodes in our most recent UnEarthed installments, so don't worry about accidentally walking into something you didn't know was coming.
Make sure you tune in to the audio version of UnEarthed (as well as joining us on the livestreams at 9:15pm EST!), as that's where we'll be putting lots of interview excerpts in the coming weeks. We can't wait to share them with you!

In episode two of our Alien: Earth aftershow, Jaime, Patrick, Andie and Perry re-convene to talk about 'Metamorphosis' the third installment of Noah Hawley's new Alien series. In this hour-long episode we discuss how the show is improving, how we're feeling and the excitement of what's to come. Jaime also introduces a new segment called 'I Like Griping' where we talk about what might not be working as well.

SPOILERS AHEAD
Here is Jaime and Patrick's review of the first episode of Noah Hawley's Alien: Earth. Recorded immediately after the premiere screening in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con, this conversation is a deep dive into the themes, characters, and events in this first episode. We're releasing this as the review embargo lifts in the hopes you'll tune in once you've had a chance to see it (especially those of you attending the screenings around the country on Wednesday, August 6!).

In this exciting pseudo-roundtable episode, Perry, Andie, Xander, Adam, Holden and Ross discuss their excitement for Alien: Earth. From managing expectations to experiencing the unknown, all aspects are covered as we anxiously await the series premiere on August 12. This discussion centers around a few quotes from Noah Hawley that are featured in the August edition of SFX Magazine. This was a fun episode and we hope you enjoy.

Two of the most intriguing characters in Alien: Earth (at least from what we've seen so far!) are, without a doubt, Wendy (played by Sydney Chandler) and Morrow (Babou Ceesay). Jaime and Patrick had the chance to chat with them inside FX's podcasting space at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, and we're more intrigued than ever to see where these characters go throughout the rest of the season!
It was an utterly surreal moment: talking about Alien: Earth inside the recreated USCSS Maginot crash site with two of the actors who have brought this series to life. It's been a long wait—five years, give or take!—but we are finally arriving at the premiere of Alien: Earth, and we're tremendously excited to bring you this little inside look at it.

In the midst of all the chaos at SDCC, Jaime and Patrick managed to sit down with TQ Jefferson and Eugene Elkin from Survios to chat about Alien: Rogue Incursion's upcoming move to consoles! This was recorded on an iPhone in a loud ballroom, so the audio isn't great. But luckily there is video as well! Check our channels for that later today.

I don't know guys. I hear the excitement but, maybe because I haven't tuned in for a while, it's hard for me to gel with this level of overanalysis on a teaser. I feel like this is a bit of wasted energy, which could perhaps be better used going for a walk or talking with friends about more meaningful things.
hoping and praying they finally let Ridley do 6 Alien flms like he wanted all with great supervised scripts, come on Disney you can do it.
