Can we talk about societal pressure for a sec? 🕰️ As women hit their 30s, the noise around the "biological clock" gets super loud. But guess what? Our worth isn't tied to our reproductive choices! Embrace Your Own Timeline! This week Mandii B is joined by co-creater of Official Box Owner, producer, and friend Sydney. Sydney shares that age 38 she is constantly pressured by her family to have children before it’s “too late”.Although there is validity in the biological clock, Sydney’s experience of being a stepmom to five boys allowed her nurturing instincts to flourish, and she realized that love isn't limited to biological ties. It’s about the connection and care you give. 💖Adoption, surrogacy, and modern medicine offers various avenues like egg freezing and IVF, allowing women to make informed decisions about their future. Planning and researching these options provide peace of mind and empower women to take control of their reproductive health. The biggest takeaway? Make life choices on YOUR terms. Whether it's about having kids, starting businesses, or chasing any dream. Life isn't a one-size-fits-all journey. Embrace yours uniquely- and that’s on PERIOD SIS. Connect with us: Period Sis Series: @periodsis.tas: https://www.instagram.com/periodsis.tas/  // Linktree: https://linktr.ee/periodsis Host: Mandii B @Fullcourtpumps: https://www.instagram.com/fullcourtpumps/ Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/period-sis-podcast--6133990/support.

Amber was just like any other college student, grappling with midterm exams and the usual stress. Being athletic, she had been using tampons since she was twelve, fitting them into her active lifestyle seamlessly. It never crossed her mind that this little piece of cotton could put her life in jeopardy. Amber walked us through the days leading up to her diagnosis—feeling more tired than usual, losing her appetite, and dealing with what seemed like eternal dehydration. It all seemed like stress, right? Wrong.Amber recounted her initial visit to urgent care where her symptoms were brushed off as nothing more than stress and tiredness by a doctor. It was eye-opening to hear how her symptoms weren’t taken seriously until she landed in the gynecologist's office, undergoing a painful examination that finally pointed to TSS. It's a stark reminder of how easily women's health issues are often overlooked but also how we have to slow down and listen to our bodies.
