lol... sacrifice is real, ya? the answer is yes. but in the words of Maxwell Smart, when confronted with questions like this: "and loving it!" Today, was my grandsons first communion...my heart was bursting with pride to see the man, my son has become, in raising a good child, children in fact, and the same for my daughter and her two girls... so many blessings. so yes, marriage does all those things, but I'd not change a thing.
This podcast seems to continually slide from actual theological content to intensely conservative Christian opining. There are problematic issues with the social Media episode. I will state one of the issues here. The reference on women’s decline in happiness fails to site the actual study. A quick search will produce these statistics, where one can easily discover that ‘feminism’ is NOT the cause for that decline but rather that there are now more reference points to consider.

EDS is no joke
This is supposed to be a mainstream catholic podcast...sometimes they deal with interesting topics and interview a writer or a theologian but mostly the show is all about criticising anything that doesn't conform to the narrow viewpoint of the host and most of his guests. The usual white, male, right wing, homophobic stuff disguised in religious zeal. All signifiers but no signified. But this episode is a revelation. This particular brand of bigotry presented as piety is taken to a whole new level. Both the guest and the host dismiss university education and academics ( they really show their true, dark age colours...of course, education gets in the way of indoctrination). The host makes it clear that according to his narrow limited world view, women are for marrying and making good wifes. The guest quotes Bin Laden and goes on to say he would rather his son joined the Taliban than live as an atheist. He follows this with several homophobic remarks. The host comments on how happy he
but I suppose one must be grateful for small mercies: Pearce is no longer a neo nazi, just a Brexiteer.

Riveting discussion. Thank you for taking the time to present both sides. Not a huge fan of Dr. Craig's dismissive and condescending style, which seemed to elevate Jimmy's reasoning by way of the appearance of Dr. Craig dodging the point & counterpoint as they were presented by Jimmy. Whereas Jimmy returned with more respect and a more direct approach to each contention. ...and the ref raises Jimmy's arm at the bell.
