I really enjoyed this episode . I learned unique points on improving breeding stock without inbreeding . Also really enjoyed the story she shared towards the end of the episode on why HOA is so important to her , it brought tears to my eyes . I'd actually never heard the bible quote that she shared ( I forgot her name 🤭) it really spoke to me . Thank you for this wonderful episode and the many others.

I have been following Melissa for years, reading her blog and buying her books. I started listening to her podcast last year when my car radio died - why did I wait so long?! I went back and listened to all the episodes. I appreciate her knowledge, her authenticity and her humor - and how her faith is evident in what she does, without being preachy. Now I am kind of a podcast junkie (thanks, Melissa), but hers is still my favorite.

the best way to stay away from hormones is to just not drink milk, lol. and Melissa, I adore your podcast but I'd love to see your source on soy because as one of millions of non dairy consumers, that is just not true. For you perhaps but that's quite a generalization and one that seems more in line with dairy industry propaganda than anything scientific I have ever read.

I have fermented tomatoes. I left them out on the counter, as well. they were ready to eat in days. I think they tasted pickled. especially when i used the green ones. I had to harveste whatever fruits and veggies I could, whenever I could, from the garden. Otherwise, the squirrels would get them first. so, l would continially add my tomatoes to the jar as I harvested them, red or green. they would all ferment with the rest of the items the jar in no time. I enjoy the green ones the best. they are more crisp.
