Comics are a combination of words and art. You need both. You can flip through a book or look at its cover and get a good first impression. A lot of the times, however, that can be deceptive. You need to dig in and read the combination of art and words to get the art in its proper context to enjoy it. Belgium has a new passport that features Belgian comic characters like Largo Winch, Lucky Luke, Tintin, and the Smurfs. I received a comment recently that made fun of the way I pronounced a Belgian creators' name. It made me think about pronunciations. For as hard as I try to get it right, I'm always fighting my natural American accent instincts...One quick correction to this episode: The hockey player's name I was thinking of was Mark Messier.
