I had an amazing kōrero with my best friend and wife, Hinepanea Rewiri, where she opened up about her journey as a māmā to our two sons. She shared the challenges she's faced with postpartum and reflected on what has supported her during this season of self-discovery, exploring who she is beyond being a mother and a wife. Hiko is the youngest tāne Māori competing in Crossfit in the elite mens division. He recently competed inTorian Pro which is the best of the best in Aotearoa and Australia, which was his second time making it. His main focus this year was being Māori and utilising the aspect of whānau and mātaraunga Māori. Hiko also shares how his whānau incorperate the Maramataka and how they come toegther to celebrate during Matariki. Hiwa i te Rangi is one of the 9 stars of Matariki who is linked to dreams and aspirations.
