A first impression matters. On and offline. How can you communicate quickly what your clients need to know online? A headshot. In this day and age, a picture is truly worth a 1000 words. And with attention spans being pulled in a myriad of directions, you need a standout shot that grabs attention and connects quickly. Portrait photographer, Richard Waine shares how to create an impact as well as build a solid business.Richard Waine was born and raised in Queens, New York at a time when shag carpeting was still in style. After Graduating from Hofstra University he spent the better part of his career in the financial world, working long stressful days on Wall Street. In awe of Hurley's energy, knowledge and personality, Richard made the commitment to pursue headshots as his specialty. After meeting Peter and spending time with him at an industry conference, Richard was confident that this was his calling. Peter wasn't so sure. Today, he is proud to be an associate photographer and mentor in Peter Hurley’s Headshot Crew.He has been a headshot judge for the International Model and Talent Association, a member of the Professional Photographers of America, Wedding & Portrait Photographers International, a brand ambassador for Phase One and Savage Universal, and an affiliate of major companies like, FJ Westcott, JPEGmini and Think Tank Photo.
