Description

With inspiration from William Tyndale, The PlowBoy Radio Podcast is a Reformed Baptist, Christian Podcast that is seeking to bust up the hardened ground of our current church culture. We believe that today's church society unfortunately fails to teach and preach the Bible contextually and theologically. Come and follow along with Ben, Bradley, and Derek as they discuss Scripture, theology, church news, and more with an expository and exegetical emphasis on God's Word ... along with their southern accents and their goofy dialogue!

Hey, everyone! Thanks for listening to our 2nd episode of Season 2!  We had a lot of things to cover! We provided a brief overview of what each of us have been up to since you last heard us.  Secondly, we talked about the controversy of SBC President Ed Litton.  Then, Ben and crew reviewed the memes of the week.  Finally but not least, the cast discussed natural theology and presuppositionalism: are they opposed or do they work together? Thanks again for the support and expect weekly uploads!  Email: plowboyradio@gmail.com https://twitter.com/PlowboyR https://www.facebook.com/plowboyradio/
IT'S SEASON 2! Also, this is the lost episode!  We recorded this podcast back in February.  Ben thought he lost it but now it is found.  Bradley wanted to post it because of how fun it was so here it is!   The beginning portion of the episode is a hilarious interaction about food (see the title).  Then, the cast deeply talk about the Gospel.  Is it good, descent, bad, or poor news?  Listen to what the guys say.  Thanks for being patient with us and hope you enjoy the episode! This is a very special episode of the PlowBoy Radio Podcast.  From Friday, December 6th through Saturday, December 14th of 2019, Basileia Church in Mooreville, MS sent off a team to share the Gospel of Jesus to N'Tale tribe in Kenya, Africa.  However due to large amount of precipitation and poor traveling, the team only had a half day with the tribe.  While being stationed in South Horr, Kenya during the rain, Derek Jones and Kenny Fleming was able to preach to the youth of that village. On this episode, you will be hearing what Kenny and Derek preached to them. Hope you enjoy this episode, and we apologize if it is difficult to hear due to the large amount of rain hitting the roof of the building.  If you do enjoy, please give us a subscribe on your podcast platform and follow us on our social media pages.  If you are interested in merchandise, email us or message us on Facebook or Twitter.  Thanks again for listening! On this episode of the PlowBoy Radio Podcast, the cast continues the Theologian-Wrestling Draft, randomly decide to do a two-minute, rapid-fire segment, and push through the Romans 8 & 9 Series.  The cast begins with Round 3 of the Draft as each member puts together the best team of theologians possible.  Following Round 3, each person is allowed two minutes to tell what is on their mind at that moment.  One person in particular fails to meet the two-minute criteria that he set forth before the show began... but I digress.  Finally, the crew finish Romans Chapter 9 and the remainder of the argument from Paul into Chapter 10.  Everyone here at the PlowBoy Radio Podcast want to thank each listener that supports the show.  We appreciate the patience and prayers as we continue to learn how to do this Podcast thing! If you enjoy, please drop a honest, 5-star review! Thanks again everyone for listening! Email: plowboyradio@gmail.com https://twitter.com/PlowboyR https://www.facebook.com/plowboyradio/
The great Jim Ross once said, "It's gonna be a slobberknocker!" This quote likely does not describe our second round of our Theologian-Wrestling Draft. However, it is a wrestling quote, and we are somewhat mentioning wrestling.  Connection? Absolutely! Listen and hang out with the panel as they draft and talk about Romans 9.  All of the drafted Theologians are recommended by the crew and have sound teaching.  So give them a listen or read when you get an opportunity.  Again the series continues with Romans 9, Derek, Bradley, BJ and Ben dig deep in the text of Paul's letter.  If you enjoy, please drop a honest, 5-star review! Thanks everyone for listening! Email: plowboyradio@gmail.com https://twitter.com/PlowboyR https://www.facebook.com/plowboyradio/
Mick Foley once said, "If God built me a ladder to heaven, I would climb it and elbow drop the world."  Not sure how this applies? Neither do I! But I know it applies to wrestling! Listeners, this card starts the Theologian-Wrestling Draft.  This Theologian-Wrestling Draft consists of each cast member drafting a team of five, Survivor-Series style, of Theologians. After the teams are drafted and assembled, they will go against each other ... on the Twitter polls. These teams are all Reformed Theologians who we all enjoy and recommend to each of you, but each of these theologians all had different personalities.  We thought it would be fun to have a fantasy draft against one another!  We thought it was entertaining, and we hope you all think so too! We kick off today's show with Round 1.  The subsequent episodes that follow will contain the remaining rounds.  So tag into the match with us! (Bad wrestling pun intended). If you are still with us after the draft, the main event comes next which includes the cast continuing the teaching series on Romans 8 and 9.  The middle portion of Romans 9 is the main focus this episode.  You may think of us as "heels" or "babyfaces" after hearing Romans 9.  We hope everyone listening gets a good "pop," and we get "over" with this podcast.  Okay... I will stop with the wrestling puns!  Hope you all enjoy!
This episode includes a Brad Rant and an exegetical and theological study on Romans 9.  Bradley kicks off the show by critiquing Steven Anderson's sermon called "Reprobate Kanye West." You do not want to miss what the PlowBoy Radio staff has to say about this! And if you like deep theological discussion, you are in the right place! The cast dives deep into Romans 9 as they continue their study of Paul's letter to the Romans.  If you have any questions or concerns, please email us at plowboyradio@gmail.com or message us on our social media pages!  We appreciate and thank all of you for the love and support that you all have been giving us! Hope everyone enjoys this week's episode! Steven Anderson's message on "Reprobate Kanye West": https://youtu.be/7_pdS_I0hsI
Episode 8 continues the series on Romans 8 & 9 by finishing up Chapter 8.  To begin, the cast rambles along about weekend activities such as Madden Tournament, Call of Duty, Paintball and etc.  Then they dive deeply into the Scriptures to discuss important topics such as Election, Effectual Calling, and much more!  Thank you for all of the support on our previous episodes!  Hope you all enjoy!
BJ Kent is back from his sickness, bringing Broski Time back with him this episode, and aiding the cast in the continuing discussion of the Romans 8 & 9 Series!  To open up the podcast, the cast chats with BJ about Christian music which includes the pro's and con's from it as well as recommendations for theologically sound musicians and bands.  Afterwards, Romans 8 is the focus for the remainder of the episode.  The crew exegetes the text and dialogues with one another about what the Apostle Paul is actually writing to the church in Rome.  So follow along with us in this deep, theological discussion together!  Thanks for the continued support and prayers!
With BJ absent with a high fever for this episode, the remaining cast keeps up the sick content with The Book Report and a new series on Romans Chapters 8 and 9.  If you are ailing and seeking medicine, Derek Jones recommends G.K. Beale in The Book Report for your theological needs.  Also, one cure in Derek's life is his deep friendship with Mr. Beale.  After that recommended prescription, the cast provides a continual remedy with a study on the book of Romans.  During the first part of this series, background information about this epistle as well as highlights of chapters 1 - 7 provide context to Part 2: Romans 8 & 9 for next week's episode.  To conclude, this episode is full of deep theology ... sort of like an ointment for our depraved hearts! ... Okay, I will stop with the sick puns! Hope everyone enjoys!
This episode includes another Brad Rant along with the epic finale of the Holy Scriptures. During this edition of the Brad Rant, Bradley Starling discusses Beth Moore’s recent tweets concerning the Apostle Paul’s teachings in comparison to Jesus. Once the cast wraps up that conversation, they turn their attention back to Chapter 1: The Holy Scriptures of the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith in which they finally finish the last of the four-part series.  They finish it like Bret “The Hitman” Hart submitted “Stone Cold” Steve Austin back in WrestleMania XIII or like Hulk Hogan body slamming Andre The Giant in WrestleMania IV. Don’t understand the references? Tune-in to Episode 5 to find out! Also, if you missed the discussion or you want to hear more about this topic, please check out and listen to the previous episodes listed in our archive.
This episode incorporates time ... "Bro-Time with Broski Kent" to be exact ... and the third portion of the four-part, series on the Holy Scriptures.  In the inaugural segment of "Bro-Time with Broski Kent," BJ Kent ignites conversation between the cast members about christian-related hypotheticals. In this segment he asks each cast member about their specific person in church history or in today's modern church who they would want to have a one-hour conversation with and a one-hour debate with.  Once that interesting dialogue finished up, before more kooky, arm-wrestling hypotheticals continued, the show tempers back to where they left off last episode with the main discussion on the Holy Scriptures.  Hope everyone enjoys!
