This week on IGN's PlayStation show, join Max Scoville, Brian Altano and Lucy O'Brien as they grill Tom Marks about his 16 hours spent exploring Night City in Cyberpunk 2077. Avoiding spoilers, Tom answers some of our questions about combat, driving, fast-travel, sexy adults-only stuff, and how much of a sense of humor the game has. Meanwhile, in the cyberpunk dystopia that is real life, scalpers managed to scoop up thousands of PlayStation 5 consoles, which is why so many humans have had trouble buying them. Plus, what we're playing, and some tidbits about Hitman and the PS5 supporting variable refresh rates down the road.
On a special bonus episode of IGN's weekly PlayStation episode, Podcast Beyond!, host Jonathon Dornbush is joined by Lucy O'Brien to speak with Brian Horton, the creative director of PS4 and PS5 launch game Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The trio discusses some of the game's biggest story beats, the decision to make a more focused, shorter story compared to the first, the combat advancements and side stories, and New York City at Christmastime. Note: Apologies for some audio hiccups, which occurred during recording and could not be fixed.

On this week's episode of IGN's PlayStation show, Podcast Beyond!, host Jonathon Dornbush is joined by Lucy O'Brien, Janet Garcia, and Mitchell Salztman to discuss our PS5 review embargo impressions. We talk about the hardware, playing with it and the DualSense over the last few days, and our impressions of Astro's Playroom and Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales PS5. We don't spoil any of the game talk, but expect to hear our thoughts on why the DualSense has wowed us, how Spider-Man continues the franchise in fantastic form, and why Astro's Playroom is a joyful free launch pack-in you shouldn't miss.
On this week's episode of IGN's weekly PlayStation show, Podcast Beyond!, host Jonathon Dornbush is joined by Brian Altano, Max Scoville, and Mitchell Saltzman to discuss our first hands-on experience with the PS5. Waaah. I didn't get a free Xbox like other people.... It has to be racism and not the fact that they've just never heard of me. So much pandering.. I remember why I never listen to this podcast now. Scoop!

Turned it off at "blacktivist". I'm not sure what tribalism and identity politics have to do with playstation. I usually make it through IGNs cringy woke bullshit, but this is a step too far.

wow this is a new low for beyond. I've been listening to ign podcasts before beyond existed. I was there day one with beyond and it saddens me to see this platform slowly becoming a haven for passive aggressive sjw tribalistic nonsense. I never listened to any ign podcasts to hear political ideological garbage but hey its 2020 lets just ruin everything with tribalism like "blacktavists" supporting new religions like the blm "movement". I came for the video games ... white people are bad. cool i get it, ign has to jump on the trendy band wagon too.

Small correction, the problems in Ubisoft are to do with just abuse in general of hire ups and their behaviour in the work place. (Some cases include sexual abuse).

it's not just the original - if it turns out you need to know crisis core, advent children, spin-offs, ova's, and mobile games to understand the core story of FF7 remake in the future, then it's gonna be a real mess. especially considering that getting to 30-40 old media(which might take 10+years to finish for all we know) is not that easy - case in point crisis core has never been released digitally, and you need a working psp to play it. crucial plot details left out for the expanded universe to fill never work, and i hope that remake will remain a stand-alone thing

Mercenaries started in RE3, not in RE4, and the things that didn't age well in RE4, are aiming with the left stick, and QTEs. And, come on, finally put a platinum trophy in it.

This is not probable and its probably too late for the next show but I think 🤔 Sony will reveil the PS5 after E3! Reason being that in the summer, not many games come out and the news cycle does die down. If they time it, they'll own the news cycle with the PS5!
