Our goal is to share and model professional development that is not "sit and get" but is rather ready for you to "listen and launch" great ideas, strategies and concepts! Heather Fulbright is an ITF with Catawba County Schools and plays an integral role in coaching teachers with digital teaching and learning. In Dare County Schools, Spanish Dual Language Immersion programs are available in each elementary school - we interviewed teacher Xoshilt Romero and Innovation Director Johanna Parker on the impacts of this program on the community and the experiences of teaching bi-literacy both in person, and virtually! Personalized learning has been a keystone of learning in Catawba County Schools, NC and the integration of it in K-12 education has led to strides in providing personalized PD for educators as well. We interview two representatives from the leadership team who make this possible: secondary curriculum specialist, Regina Probst, and Online Catawba virtual school director, Terri Hall.
K-5 ELA Consultant, Rachel Wright Junio, shares her perspectives of working with the Migrant Education Program in NC over the past several years; sharing how the flexibility and adaptability of this community can be a model for us all in resiliency and support, specifically in the current pandemic crisis. You don't have to be an educator of migrant students to benefit from this episode - as Rachel says, "this is a hidden population that's vital to our economy - they have so much grit and character." As educators and citizens, we must be inclusive, and teaching all students to read, communicate, and be engaged citizens.

The NCBOLD Keynote speech by 2018 NC Principal of the Year, Tabari Wallace (as seen on Ellen). Mr. Wallace, Principal at West Craven HS, inspires the virtual audience of the September 2020 NCBOLD conference (bit.ly/NCBold). In addition to Mr. Wallace's administrative role, he serves on the NC State Board of Education, and has been involved in establishing the resolution on Equity, which he discusses briefly in this powerful message about reaching Each & Every child.
