After David's long and prosperous reign, Solomon was ready to inherit the throne. However, before Bathsheba's son would become the next king, David would sacrifice to the Lord and praise him on behalf of Solomon and the Israelites.

However, when these traditions become more important than belief in God, things can start to go wrong. The traditions will disappear, and our faith will simply fade away.
It's easy to criticize people for the decisions they make. We can easily spot their wrong behaviour and make an opinion on it.
However, judgement isn't always that helpful, and sometimes, it is simply unnecessary.
