Financial markets are tanking, Middle East tensions are escalating and the American political system is in a cycle unlike any other ever seen.The Democrats are skipping steps in our traditional electoral process. Local governments generally embark upon a best-foot-forward approach in convincing voters to take on new debt (i.e., higher taxes) ostensibly "for the good" of the community.
