Surprise!  All mass shootings that were driven by ideology in 2022 were linked to the far right. Plus, what ever happened to left wing terrorism? Finally, what the linkage to extremist says about the modern right.
New episodes every Monday! Can you support Ukraine's war against the Russian invasion, but still be pro peace? An honest reflection, including three areas of concern for me. But yes, you can be.
There are four main differences between the Biden document scandal and the Trump document scandal. 2:22 Trump's conduct was likely illegal, Biden's conduct was likely not.  (Espionage Act) 5:37 Quantity difference (Trump 322+, Biden 20) and Quality difference (top secret and nuclear at Trump, Biden is lower classified docs) 10:15 Motive.  No clear motive for Biden, but Trump established motive by referring to them as "personal records." 12:42 The Reaction.  Trump claimed both FBI planted docs + he "thought" them declassified, Biden's own AG is launching investigation and Biden cooperating fully after self-reporting infraction. BONUS 15:17 Refuting the "President" defense the right is currently using.
I quickly dispatch Republican talking points about the price of gasoline.  Are gas prices the key to understanding the midterm elections?  I discuss.
New data shows about half of Republicans believe mass shootings are a necessary byproduct of "living in a free society." Next, I talk about one of the Dakotas because it's a perfect example of Republicans screwing poor people, changing the rules mid game, and then losing anyway. Finally, are ballot initiatives the secret weapon to passing liberal ass shit?  I take a look.
Back from surgery just in time to discuss the end of Roe v Wade.  I give two takes, and read a nice quote.
It must suck that you can't even tweet that you liked the Super Bowl Halftime Show without getting accused of being a RINO.  Why is everything a culture war? I give a somewhat related rant about not allowing politicians to take happiness from us.
Trump used to be so on message with slogan-esque talking points (China, wall, nationalism, immigration, etc.)   These days, he has changed.  I discuss how he has changed, and why that makes me less nervous about Trump in 2024.
Fox News overhypes a pretrial motion, but the bigger issue is this...does Fox fight too many battles?  I offer free advice to Fox, you're welcome!
A fake news story about Biden giving away crack pipes makes me think about the sterling record Republicans have on drug policy.
The Green M&M mascot is less sexy, and the right is outraged that they will now need to find new source material for self pleasuring.  I talk about how I used to fear culture wars from the right, but why I no longer feel that way.
Democrats are overly focused on supply chain and pandemic related defensive arguments for inflation.  They should go on offense and talk about corporate greed and lack of economic competition.
I am not a doctor, don't listen to me.  This is just what worked for me.  Consult your doctor first before trying anything.  This is for educational purposes only.  Thanks.
Sometimes, politics is easy.  Today, I read some recent headlines and attempt a new thought exercise.
By almost any metric, the economy is roaring.  I discuss my displeasure in Democrats' refusal to go on offense, and instead voluntarily play defense to Republican talking points.
No sponsor today.  Three quick (drunk) thoughts about the Joe Rogan Controversy.

While I'm not fully over it, I'm doing a lot recently.  I took a week to reflect on these last 11 years, and I came up with some techniques, thoughts, etc. that have helped me. Do the left and right play by the same rules?  (No).  Lol.
A listener suggested I do this type of episode.  Let me know if you like it. I read five or so news stories and give my instant reaction.
