For their 50th episode, all 7 of the Pop Gays of a Certain Age are in attendance for a chat about those artists that used to be in bands but subsequently had success as a solo act. In Part 1, four of the PGOACAs give us two "like" song choices each, plus a "dislike" choice, whilst the remaining Pop Gays take a vote to decide whether they also like or dislike the track! Brilliant (and not so brilliant) pop tunes abound, plus there's the usual "cheeky" hilarity and rambunctious banter! Come back soon for Part 2, where the remaining Pop Gays provide us with their song choices!
In Part 2 of our Bananarama special, the PGOACA preside over 12 more 'nanas songs and declare whether we'd like to SNOG, MARRY or DIVORCE them! Join the Pop Gays, including special guest Phill, as they pay homage to Bananarama's Glorious 40year-long career. Hilarity, smut and brilliant pop tunes abound, as usual!!!
Bananas, for Easter? Well, why not! The PGOACA are back with another Snog, Marry, Divorce episode! This time, the Pop Gays are focusing on one of the UK's biggest girl groups, Bananarama! They've recently released their brilliant compilation album, "Glorious - The Ultimate Collection'', so we thought it was the ideal time to jump into their back catalogue of bangers and tell you the songs we'd love to Snog, those we'd Marry and (sad times) those we'd serve Divorce papers on. We're also joined by guest Pop Gay for this episode, none other than Hot Tub Phill!
The PGOACA are back for Part 2 of our episode which shines a light on all those album tracks that should have been singles! In Part 2, you'll hear the SWC choices from Paul, Graham and Rhys. Plus we reveal all of YOUR choices and have a last minute frenzy of SWC honourable mentions!
Well hello there all you wonderful people in the world, the PGOACA are back for another fun-filled episode! Welcome to Part 1 of "Shoulda Woulda Coulda… Been A Single". What that means is this episode is all killer and no filler because we’re shining a light on all those songs that were positively ripe to be single releases, but for one extremely cruel reason or another, were all left to languish and wither away on albums, without being allowed to reach their full potential. In Part 1 there are 12 song choices that should have been singles, from 4 Pop Gays, plus each of them tell us something they "Shoulda Woulda Coulda" been in life. Come back soon for Part 2!
In Part 2 of 'Songs To Blast Away The Winter Blues', the remaining three Pop Gays bring you 12 more songs that will warm your cockles. Please note that this is a recut and reuploaded version of this episode, without the original music excerpts.
For their first official podcast episode of 2024, three Pop Gays bring you a total of 12 songs that are like winter vacation. PLUS you'll find out the Pop Gays' idea for a podcast sponsor, as well as their thoughts on the movie, Saltburn! Please note that this is a recut and reuploaded version of this episode, without the original music excerpts.
While we're off preparing our first official podcast episode for 2024, how's this for a surprise BONUS episode for you all? In this episode, the Pop Gays of a Certain Age are joined by honorary Pop Gay Christopher to talk about novelty songs and one-hit wonders! Tim, Jason, Peter, Leigh, Chris and Graham give you two song choices plus an honorable mention each so there are no less than EIGHTEEN songs to talk about and feast your ears on! And stay tuned to the Pop Gays of a Certain Age, because our 'Songs to Blast Away the Winter Blues' episode is coming soon!
