Fresno Economic Opportunities Commission (Fresno EOC) is at the forefront, continuing the war on poverty with over 35 programs dedicated to getting people the help they need to achieve their goals. Join Antonio Aguilar Jr. (Training & Development Coordinator) as he hears from Fresno EOC leaders and team members to gain a deep understanding on what being a poverty fighter is all about. Each episode will offer tips on leadership skills, insights about our services and programs as well as the skills, knowledge, and motivation to strengthen self-sufficiency throughout the community.

The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program aims to safeguard the health of low-income women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets, information on healthy eating, and referrals to health care. Host Antonio Aguilar sits with Fresno EOC WIC Director Annette Thornton and Assistant Director Stephanie Bulena and they share about the work their program has been doing to further Fresno EOC’s mission to fight to end poverty.
