Kaizen Stories, episode fourteen "Water Spider!" Country - UK City - Derby Welcome to episode fourteen of our series of videos, this one looks to how the Kaizen team introduced a new role to the process called a water spider. This person ensured the critical process was supplied with all it needed, to run and make what the customer required. These are all true stories; some of the details are withheld to protect the privacy of the organisations. Please feel free to feedback if you were able to take away value from these stories. We have many topics already filmed and still to be filmed, so if you need to know something specific, let us know.
That's right; you could be performing better than you were before if you embrace the opportunity that lays in front of your organisation, as you go back to work.  As your people go back into the workplace, especially if your organisation was not heavily involved in continuous improvement before. The most significant barrier to getting started with a continuous improvement program is getting people on board to the idea of change. Listen to the podcast for my thoughts on this:
Kaizen Stories, episode thirteen "You scratch my back and I will scratch yours!"   Country - UK City - Derby  Welcome to episode thirteen of our series of videos, this one looks to how a factory which is running frequent Kaizens hits a machine for the third time.  After reducing the batch size, it is now necessary to further reduce the time needed to set up or change the machine over.    Each one is focussed on sharing valuable lessons, experiences, and findings while running a Kaizen workshop.  These are all true stories, some of the details are withheld to protect the privacy of the organisations they were running in.   Please feel free to feedback if you were able to take away value from these stories.  We have many topics already filmed and still to be filmed, so if you have a need to know something specific let us know.
I had the opportunity to talk with Hanna on my favourite subject continuous improvement, we talked about how we have had to change the way we work in these strange times of isolation.
You heard of the saying we've always done it this way, during a kaizen event you'll hear it a lot. In this episode, we hear how the team discover that two people working on the same process are able to overcome lots of non-value-added activity. Welcome to this series of podcast recordings originally recorded as short videos,  to explain various experiences I have had while facilitating Kaizen workshops all over the world. The videos can still be watched, simply head over to Youtube and search for Kaizen Stories.
