“And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.””Matthew 9:35-38 ESV

Daniel answered and said:“Blessed be the name of God forever and ever,    to whom belong wisdom and might.21 He changes times and seasons;    he removes kings and sets up kings;he gives wisdom to the wise    and knowledge to those who have understanding;22 he reveals deep and hidden things;    he knows what is in the darkness,    and the light dwells with him.23 To you, O God of my fathers,    I give thanks and praise, for you have given me wisdom and might,    and have now made known to me what we asked of you,    for you have made known to us the king's matter.”

And Hannah prayed and said,“My heart exults in the Lord;    my horn is exalted in the Lord.My mouth derides my enemies,    because I rejoice in your salvation.2 “There is none holy like the Lord:    for there is none besides you;    there is no rock like our God.3 Talk no more so very proudly,    let not arrogance come from your mouth;for the Lord is a God of knowledge,    and by him actions are weighed.4 The bows of the mighty are broken,    but the feeble bind on strength.5 Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread,    but those who were hungry have ceased to hunger. The barren has borne seven,    but she who has many children is forlorn.6 The Lord kills and brings to life;    he brings down to Sheol and raises up.7 The Lord makes poor and makes rich;    he brings low and he exalts.8 He raises up the poor from the dust;    he lifts the needy from the ash heapto make them sit with princes    and inherit a seat of honor. For the pillars of the earth are the Lord's,    and on them he has set the world.9 “He will guard the feet of his faithful ones,    but the wicked shall be cut off in darkness,    for not by might shall a man prevail.10 The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken to pieces;    against them he will thunder in heaven. The Lord will judge the ends of the earth;    he will give strength to his king    and exalt the horn of his anointed.”

"Teach me, O LORD, the way of your statutes;and I will keep it to the end.Give me understanding, that I may keep your lawand observe it with my whole heart.Lead me in the path of your commandments, for I delight in it.Incline my heart to your testimonies, and not to selfish gain!Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things;and give me life in your ways.Confirm to your servant your promise, that you may be feared.Turn away the reproach that I dread, for your rules are good.Behold, I long for your precepts;in your righteousness give me life!"Psalm 119:33-40, ESV

Pause between phrases or verses and pray for specifics that come to mind. "Create in me a clean heart, O God,and renew a right spirit within me.Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me.Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit."Psalm 51:10-12, ESV
Psalm 90:12-17, ESV

Psalm 90:12-17, ESV

"So teach us to number our daysthat we may get a heart of wisdom.Return, O LORD! How long?Have pity on your servants!Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us,and for as many years as we have seen evil.Let your work be shown to your servants, and your glorious power to their children.Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us,and establish the work of our hands upon us;yes, establish the work of our hands!"Psalm 90:12-17, ESV
Listen to the verse(s) being read. Pause between phrases, sentences or verses, and pray specifically about items in your life, loved ones lives, the world, etc. I do this in a way where you lead the prayer and you pray for what you need so that your needs are being met and heard and not my own. Prayer is personal so let this be the catalyst for your growing relationship with Christ.
When I pray sometimes I feel like I am ALL OVER THE PLACE. This podcast simply started to help me pray Scripture in my life and pray more intentionally. My prayer life was lacking, and in order to grow in my walk with Christ I knew I needed to be in constant communication with him. What better way to direct prayers and make them more intentional than to use the Bible as my guide? Hope this proves useful for someone else as well!
“Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:9-13‬ ‭ESV‬‬
