We chatted to Professor Malcolm Evans on how we can prevent torture in South Africa. He works for the United Nations as the Chair of the UN Subcommittee for the Prevention of Torture, he helped write South Africa's guidelines on torture prevention and he works on protecting the rights of people worldwide who have been put in detention. The Wits Justice Project is holding a Symposium on the Prevention of Torture on the 28th and 29th of August 2014.
