What makes parts of the self hid and went missing is FEAR Fear is runs our sub-conscious. The problem with fear is that we spend so much time rationalizing them, which keeps us stuck. Facing our fears builds emotional awareness and expands our self-compassion hence while needed to love ourselves fully.
How you see yourself is how you see the world. If you identify with your victim story. If you are unable to see redeeming qualities - you will see everything from this lens. So fighting, defending, and protecting is normal. This behavior includes finding fault, placing blame, and being the victim of your life. Being the victim is a choice - we are all responsible for how we want to feel. To be willing to see things differently is healing - it is a step in the direction of becoming whole.
