For our final episode, the boys take turns telling each other of the different eras of the life of the artist in his many mediums. Through the War of the Worlds, his brief childhood, Citizen Kane, his marriages and loves, political advocacy, exile, struggles to continue to create and neuroses, we find a funny, sensitive, adventurous and immeasurably talented fellow. We bid you adieu with this lengthy episode and encourage you to follow us on our Patreon for more content in the future. We have loved this time spent together.
This week the lads bear the brunt of bizarre media tundra; an orgy of Appalachian druggy dancers, yoga creeps, deranged USSR propaganda commercials, Orson Welles in roast mode, petrifying PSAs, DVD commentary gone wrong and god knows what else!
This week Aaron gives us the incredible true story of the English hoodlum that became a pivotal double agent during the Second World War! Eddie Chapman made his way to prison through burglary and safe cracking before falling into German hands in Jersey. What followed would win him the German Iron Cross and the grudging admiration of his British military handlers!
This week Matt gives the lads an extensive view of the legendary motorcycle stuntman Evel Knievel! We find out Robert Craig Knievel was indeed a lecherous, mean, cheating, stealing scumbag - but he knew how to market performing audacious jumps that miraculously never killed him, and thus, his impact on sport, television, toys and entertainment culture is irreversible!
This week the listeners take the lads through 3 tales of oddity! The London Beer Flood of 1814 is a deadly freak accident that claims 8 lives! Elmer McCurdy is a dead bank robber who becomes more famous as a corpse! Daniel E Sickles gets away with murder in front of the White House before he nearly costs the Union the battle of Gettysburg!
