On today’s episode of project life, I was lucky enough to interview Mike Bruny, a man who I look at one of the best networkers that I know. He is quite a legend in the space of the internet world. I look at him as a master of creating communities and brining people together. Here are the websites we discussed on this episode: Mike’s Linkedin Mike’s Resume Enjoy the Episode
In today's episode, Mike answers the question, "what it means to be a good man?" I was recently asked this on a podcast and figure I will dive into this topic a bit more. This is a time in the world to be taking a serious look at ourselves and decide what is the best way to be living our life. Enjoy today's episode.
In today's episode we dive into an article: https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2018/09/brett-kavanaugh-christine-blasey-ford-assault-me-too.html. I read this morning about men are more afraid more than ever before. I recorded this on the day of the hearing for Dr. Ford and the Kavanaugh. This was more of a rant than anything else today but I believe as men we can do better.
Today, Mike shared his story of how life has changed with 2 kids over the past 5 months. He explains three important tips he has learned while adding more people to the family and running a business. With business growing over the past 3 years, adjustments have to be made to fully support the new direction of the company. Adjustments need to be made on the homefront as well when you add an additional member to the family.
On this week, Mike examines this book called Tiger Woods which goes into detail about her career and life. Wow, it has been awhile since a podcast was completed here in the land of Project Life. Today I want to give you an update on what has happened over the past 5 months since Ruby was born here in Maine. It has been quite a journey but very excited to be coming out of the other end of a tough 2018. See you soon.
There is a common theme I am seeing constantly when it comes to having a baby and being a dad. There are very few people who actually checkin on the dads during the lifespan of a kid or when the woman is pregnant. Now I am not saying everything should be focused on Dads by any means, but at least have the conversation with them to see how they are doing.
Department stores are closing every single week because the market is constantly changing and few companies are keeping up with the changes. This is a huge reason two massive chains have closed all of their stores recently because they failed to keep up with the changes in the global economy. It is possible to keep up with the changing market, but we have to notice the changes.
After spending the year working with many clients, there is a common theme I come across with every single one of them on taking their business to the next level. In today's podcast, I talk more about what that trait is and it is the most important in your business. Few people are talking about it in the world of business development.
Another hit by the man himself when it comes to a book teaching the nuts and bolts of building a business. This book is perfect for the year of 2018 to move your business to the next level on social media. Gary knows his stuff.
Is the effort you are putting into your business getting you the desired result you want? Most of the time we think we are doing more than we actually are when it comes to putting in the effort. The key to creating a successful company is having clarity on what is the actual effort being put into the growth of the company.
Today I interviewed one of my former bosses, Janet Andersen, about her time in a manufacturing world dominated by women. She shares her tools to success for living a fulfilling life and how she dealt with the trauma of her daughter being shot by her ex-husband on her front porch. This situation forced her to make a decision on how she wanted to live out the rest of her life and there was some profound wisdom she shared on today's episode.
Man I could speak about Kate for a week about how she supported me in changing my life. Kate hasn't changed my life but she has pointed things out which have allowed me to make the decision to change. I am so proud of her on the way she has handled this pregnancy and she is such a fabulous mom.
Penelope has taught me so much since she arrived on the scene 2.5 years ago. I am so proud to call her my daughter and the lessons I have learned in this short time, I will have those the rest of my life. She has challenged me with every belief I have experienced and challenged me to become a better person. I am so grateful for P.
Kate, Penelope, and I attended our first March For Your Life event here in Maine and it was quite an experience that will keep us moving forward to help those in the world that need it. Also Penelope had a reaction to the event that taught us quite a bit about big crowds. And what is the point of these events, I talk more about that today.
This was my first complete open season in my crossfit lifestyle and it was a challenge. The competitor in me really came out but super happy to finish this year with success.
I am starting to notice the rise of attacks happening on different generations. I hear more and more about kids these days or the millennials. This isn't actually going to fix anything and it is up to us to do something about it. Attacking the other generations isn't how we solve the problems of the present or the future problems.
I interviewed Meggan about her writing process in preparation of her new book about Mary Magdalene. I also asked her questions about religion and how is all works. You can learn more about Meggan here: http://megganwatterson.com
Nate Welch asked a question about how I go about managing social media and use it to build our business. He wanted to know how I go about living a life with social media and not allowing it to affect family life.
