On Prophecy Radio episode #143, Karen and Kristen catch up on some news odds and ends, including some new Percy Jackson and the Olympians character posters. They also discuss The Red Pyramid chapters 39 and 40, including their favorite moments and a few very significant twists and turns. New episodes of Prophecy Radio air every other week. All discussions are PG-13. News and Updates (00:24:11) Character posters, ya'll! A trio poster that might be a repeat, but just in case you haven't seen it yet. Rick took a photo with our new Zoe Nightshade and her significantly annotated book. These kids are getting to do all kinds of stunts. Steph Lurie dressed up to put Mark and Rick on trial at the Texas Book Festival Happy Birthday, Virginia Kull! The Red Pyramid discussion (00:30:50) Mini recap, in case you need a refresher. Let's talk about chapter 39. We take a minute to coo over Rick's narrative style in this book. Zia confounds us with some pertinent but infuriating advice. Set's secret name is underwhelming, but we discuss how that might have been inevitable. Isis warns Sadie Sadie's visions could have each been their own chapter. For sure. Who will sit on these 3 thrones? A touching father/daughter moment to ease the pain. The tale of the four Kanes. Her mother saw what was coming, her father did what he had to do, and now Sadie and Carter must see it all through. Isis and Sadie merge and we get our rainbow-warrior-goddess moment. Favorite lines and Favorite moments Time for the penultimate chapter discussion! Sadie's dual vision might be one of the cooler story-telling devices I've read in a long time. Time for a trip to the capital! The real enemy is finally brought into the light. Sadie and Carter have a moment. Two twists in a row really show how much has been going on that we couldn't see earlier in the story. Set was being used just like he was puppeteering Amos. The enemy of my enemy might just come in useful later on, so we might have to spare them. This Zia twist is one we definitely didn't see coming. Desjardins is pissed and astonished at the Kane's willpower. Favorite lines and Favorite moments Feedback (01:32:10) Longtime listener David Ludwig shares some of the Court of the Dead book tour fun from Denver! Here's that cocoa puff video in case you are interested! Thanks for listening, and tune in next time for episode 144, where we'll wrap up our discussion of The Red Pyramid with chapter 41, as well as get you up to date on more Percy Jackson and Rick Riordan news. This episode’s hosts are: Karen and Kristen Each episode, Prophecy Radio's hosts will discuss any official news coming out of Camp Half-Blood before doing a chapter by chapter reread of Percy Jackson or one of Rick Riordan's other series. On Prophecy Radio episode #142, Karen and Kristen dissect the latest Percy Jackson and the Olympians news, plus the release of The Court of the Dead by Rick Riordan and Mark Oshiro. They also discuss The Red Pyramid chapters 37 and 38, including their favorite moments and what they think will happen next. New episodes of Prophecy Radio air every other week. All discussions are PG-13. News and Updates (00:10:37) The Court of the Dead by Rick Riordan and Mark Oshiro is officially out in the world! Did you get any of the special editions? (We definitely did.) Did you see the pictures and videos of Rick signing books and Funkos? Leah turned 16 last month! Do these Percy Jackson and the Olympians behind-the-scenes clips mean we’ll be getting another BTS documentary?? We go through a slightly older Entertainment Weekly article to discuss the next Senior Year Adventures book. When can we expect the third and final Senior Year book to come out? Rick is strictly a middle grade author, and we’re cool with that. What other gods would make for good series fodder a la Trials of Apollo? Other character-centric books are still on the table, and boy do we want them! The Red Pyramid discussion (00:29:14) All right, let’s refresh our brains on what happened last time. Good. Now we can jump into The Red Pyramid chapter 37. Why does Set keep flickering between forms? We’ve really come around on Amos since we learned the truth. Set is SO sassy, and we’re kind of here for it. Horus still wants to take over Carter’s body, and Carter is still telling him no. Uh, where the heck is Nephthys? Sadie protecc. Thank goodness Carter figures out what Zia meant when she told him not to resist. Carter turns into a total badass! Favorite lines and favorite scenes. All right, time to jump into The Red Pyramid chapter 38. Carter having fun fighting and beating up on Set is slightly concerning. Why do they BOTH bleed black? They’re about to bring down the house, so Carter tricks Set into becoming a fruit bat and then drags him outside the pyramid. Will Sadie be able to free their dad from the throne and his sarcophagus? We kind of already knew how to defeat Set, but he really lays it out for Carter. Did we feel bad about what happened to Desjardins? We totally did not expect Set to put the capstone on top of the pyramid. Sadie is a freaking rainbow, y’all! What name could Sadie have shouted? We wanted to read the next chapter SO BAD! But we discuss our favorite lines and favorite moments instead. Feedback (01:09:31) Ensign_Davies and Maria write in to tell us what they think of The Court of the Dead. Caoimhe is super excited about Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2, and she let’s us know one of our previous episodes was missing links. That’s all fixed now! Thanks for listening, and tune in next time for episode 143, where we’ll discuss The Red Pyramid chapters 39 and 40, as well as get you up to date on more Percy Jackson and Rick Riordan news. On Prophecy Radio episode #141, Karen and Kristen discuss the latest Percy Jackson and the Olympians news that they can find, including some minor casting they've overlooked, and some Rick Riordan Presents books and authors to make note of. We also breakdown The Red Pyramid chapters 35 and 36. New episodes of Prophecy Radio air every other week. All discussions are PG-13. News and Updates (00:16:25) Karen gets us caught up on her trip to New Orleans for her writing convention, as well as all the fun activities she found to do around town. Kristen has decidedly less to update on, but she's happy about some downtime in the middle of a busy September. No big official casting notices, but a couple things to keep in mind. The actor credited as Kronos in season 1: Will they show up as Kronos later, too? A camper credited as 'Sarah' is played by Threnody Tsai. Just in case that comes in handy later. Karen reached out on Insta to see if anyone could think of what season 3 characters we might still see cast. Grizzlymike718 reminded us about Apollo, Dr. Thorne, and Atlas. (As well as a few more very minor characters) Afantastyfanatic added in Oceanus and Rachel Elizabeth Dare. Final reminder that you can pick up your copy of A Court of the Dead VERY soon! It Lurks in the Night by Sarah Dass will arrive on January 27, 2026. The paperback for Serwa Boateng's Guide to Saving the World by Roseanne A. Brown comes out on April 7, 2026 We have a host of books being published in the next year from RRP authors via other publishing channels as well. A good variety of adult, fantasy, and even a little horror thrown in.   The Red Pyramid discussion (00:38:05) Let's get started with our The Red Pyramid chapter 35 discussion. First up: the mini-recap. Sadie's ba travels to London where she seems some truly disturbing visions and is confronted by the truth that Carter would probably make a better ruler than her. Rude. Zia wakes Sadie to have a quick heart to heart with the boys away. Sadie puts her foot in her mouth for a second. Zia and Sadie are still at odds over what exactly is going on with Amos. Sadie makes a very specifically worded promise to Zia. Time for favorite scenes and favorite lines. And moving right along, it's time to discuss The Red Pyramid chapter 36. Our little group moves into the peace and calm of the eye of Set's storm. Time to get a little cloudy! How best to sabotage an Egyptian chaos agent from finishing his power pyramid. Why don't you contribute something helpful to the planning, Amos?! Zia is back in magical action (just a little light on the power at the moment) Amos' grand gestures are getting a little unremarkable these days. Karen is a little obsessed with all the red in that throne pyramid. From coffin to foot rest: poor Osiris. Real Amos is looking out, the other Amos is revealing something we all saw coming and didn't in equal measure. Favorite scenes and favorite lines from chapter 36. A quick bit of feedback where we wish a listener a very happy trip to see Rick Riordan and Mark Oshiro on tour! Thanks for listening, and tune in next time for episode 142, where we'll discuss The Red Pyramid chapters 37 and 38, as well as get you up to date on more Percy Jackson and Rick Riordan news. On Prophecy Radio episode #140, Karen and Kristen discuss the latest Percy Jackson and the Olympians news, including the Artemis and Zoe Nightshade casting, plus the Percy Jackson 20th anniversary! We also breakdown The Red Pyramid chapters 33 and 34. New episodes of Prophecy Radio will air every other week. All discussions are PG-13. News and Updates (00:09:50) What’s been going on with us? Books and work and football, oh my! There’s a lot of news to talk about this week, even though we did a whole episode on the news last week! We go through the Percy Jackson season 2 stills from EW. Did you go see Freakier Friday and see one of the Percy Jackson cast members?? Karen is maybe too candid about her type. Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3 has started filming! Is that…a monster? How excited are we about the Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3 casting of Artemis and Zoe Nightshade? Are we waiting on anymore major casting for season 3? Can you believe it’s been 20 years since The Lightning Thief has been released? Be sure to check out the Walt Disney Company’s interview with Rick Riordan! Everyone wished Percy Jackson a happy birthday, including the Empire State Building. Don’t forget Court of the Dead comes out on September 23! We finish up with favorite scenes and favorite lines. The Red Pyramid discussion (00:34:26) Let’s kick this thing off with our The Red Pyramid chapter 33 discussion. Why are the gods so annoying!? Man, Desjardins really hates those kids. Think this will come back to bite him later? They land in a salsa factory, which they then light on fire, and we simply cannot begin to imagine that kind of pain. Yeah, Sekhmet seems like a god you don’t want to mess with. Zia has a great plan that involves a lot of salsa but omg can you imagine if it had been GREEN? Do we trust Zia!? Doughboy to the rescue! We discuss our favorite scenes and favorite lines. Next up: Our Red Pyramid chapter 34 discussion. It’s a good thing Carter has been practicing summoning things from the Duat. His coat is VERY sassy. And rude. Okay, something is seriously going on with Zia. What did Iskandar do to her?? When she talks about the fact that “he” is coming back, who do you think she meant? At least now we know where the fifth goddess went. Who the heck is Set controlling!? Zia does not need to be in the spotlight, and we love that about her. Amos is back–is this good or bad? Thanks for listening, and tune in next time for episode 141, where we’ll discuss The Red Pyramid chapters 35 and 36, as well as get you up to date on more Percy Jackson and Rick Riordan news. On Prophecy Radio episode #139, Karen and Kristen chat about all things SDCC! There's a cast panel to discuss, a trailer to break down, and a couple of additional news items you won't want to miss either. New episodes of Prophecy Radio will air every other week. All discussions are PG-13. Let's talk about the cast panel (00:08:00) Dan Shotz gives us a list of monsters we are definitely going to see in season 2. More practical sets this season, little to no Volume stage. Daniel Diemer proves his Riordan-verse fanhood with a story about sharing the books with his family and then getting to show them the set. Dior has a fantastic grasp of Clarisse's psychology in season 2. Hopefully someday we will get to see this teaser clip (and see a glimpse of Grover in the wedding dress, maybe?)! They built the entire set for the chariot race, which just seems insanely impressive to us. We get to hear a lot about on-set antics, as well as some post-shooting shenanigans involving Aryan, the actor playing Polyphemus, and Walker Scobell. A video from Rick Riordan himself reveals the two biggest casting announcements for season 3: Meet Nico and Bianca DeAngelo! The trailer discussion (00:36:19) The first four characters we see are the trio and Luke the blade-poisoner... that feels significant. The undead/ghost soldiers with Clarisse look like they may come from more than one war era. Do you think casual viewers may believe that the black cloaked figure is Tantalus? Percy and Clarisse are fighting again. Are they dressing Luke in light colors for a reason? This archer we see: Silena Beauregard? Or A Hunter of Artemis? We think there is a lot this Alison Simms character can bring to the show. A quick appearance from the Oracle. Someone has a trident and saves Percy from being killed by Luke. Meet Tyson the cyclops! The Gray Sisters are going to be a really fun moment early this season. The rest of the news (01:03:04) We talk for quite a bit about the Nico and Bianca casting. A Walker Scobell story about his chemistry read has us REALLY excited for Nico. Need a recap of season 1 without watching all the episodes? This EW recap video has a lot of visual reminders of all the biggest moments, characters, and more in season 1. Courtney B. Vance steps into play Zeus and knocks his tribute to Lance Reddick out of the park. Courtney's Zeus gets a few pats on the back from the show's stars. Fun fact: The actress playing Thalia played Lance Reddick's child in a Netflix series. Thanks for listening, and tune in next time for episode 140, where we'll discuss The Red Pyramid chapters 33 and 34 (we promise we will this time), as well as get you up to date on whatever Percy Jackson news might pop up. On Prophecy Radio episode #138, Karen and Kristen chat about The Red Pyramid chapters 31 and 32! They also talk about Karen's trip to Columbus for their book festival and a whole host of Rick Riordan-related Instagram posts. New episodes of Prophecy Radio will air every other week. All discussions are PG-13. News and Updates (00:16:21) Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief turns 20! The Percy Musical is hitting the road in the UK starting this August 15th! San Diego Comic Con starts this week, and the Percy Jackson cast will be in attendance. Could we get that season 2 trailer?! Percy series on Insta dropped some gifs from Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2. Rick and Mark are hitting the road for The Court of the Dead this fall. From Sept 23rd-10/1 they will be hitting 9 stops across the US. Check out the dates and locations here. The Red Pyramid discussion (00:23:31) Chapter 31: Who can we trust these days? Quick recap: Zia says not to trust Amos, and then guess who magically appears? Sadie is emotional about Bast's sacrifice, so it's good Carter handled that last chapter. Amos's look is not what Karen imagined. Set used Amos like a statue in a garden for the demons' amusement. Is Set the ultimate mastermind? or did Amos give him the slip? Best place to hide is definitely in a government missle-testing range. Let's hope Amos is wrong and Bast will be back sooner rather than later. Sadie has already made SO MANY SACRIFICES! Ba meet Geb. We swoon a little over Geb's heart pocket. What was with that cryptic message, Geb?! Favorite scenes and favorite lines. Chapter 32: Let's see where we stand. Muffin is giving every cat in this scene. Rick to readers: "We are not pulling a John Wick here." They can't trust Amos enough to tell him the plan, but they can definitely use his boat. Time to eat some yummy food in Las Cruces-Messilla. Just as Zia is defending Desjardins' allegiance against Set, he shows up and sticks to his script. Amos using storm magic?! Talk about a red flag. Zia's ultra-powerful column of fire proves she is all in with Sadie & Carter. Desjardins gets desperate... and summons Sekhmet! Favorite scenes and favorite lines. On Prophecy Radio episode #137, Karen and Kristen chat about The Red Pyramid chapters 29 and 30! They also talk about a bunch of book news from Rick Riordan, Roseanne A. Brown, and Roshani Chokshi. New episodes of Prophecy Radio will air every other week. All discussions are PG-13. News and Updates (00:11:32) Kristen talks about her trip to Maine! We loved Rick’s Pride post. Have you picked up your copy of Percy Jackson and the Olympians: A Guide to Gods & Monsters? Will you be picking up a copy of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 tie-in novel? Roseanne A. Brown has a new duology coming out in 2027 and we are SO EXCITED. Did you catch the cover of The Swan’s Daughter: A Possibly Doomed Love Story by Roshani Chokshi? The Red Pyramid discussion (00:27:37) We kick off with our The Red Pyramid chapter 29 discussion. Time to drive through Interstate 10 in Texas! Bast is great at “borrowing” vehicles–but don’t worry, no one will be missing this one. We think. Carter has a theory. What do we think of it? What does Kristen think is going on with Desjardins? Who would YOU trust to drive the vehicle? Sadie does NOT want Carter to ask her any questions. We get some great insight into what is going on with Bast. There’s NO WAY this will be relevant in the next chapter, right? Why did Anubis appear so hot to Sadie? Did Rick know what Bast’s plan was when he wrote this chapter? Carter needs some alone time with his sword BUT IT’S NOT WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE. Horus is great at talking when you don’t want him to and terrible at talking when you do. What does Kristen think of Zia’s motivations? Uh, what’s this about not trusting Amos?? Favorite scenes and favorite lines, as always. Time for our Red Pyramid chapter 30 discussion. Cats love to pounce, even if driving to the top of a mountain is super inconvenient. Why does Carter feel like this place is familiar? They need to speak into the water to make Nepthys appear, but Carter and Khufu are not liking the vibes. Despite it being a quick interaction, the immigrant family crossing the boarder seems like a poignant part of this chapter given everything going on these days. Sadie goes down, so it’s Carter’s time to shine. Too bad he has to take on a 20-foot tall god names Sobek. Carter proves himself in the fight, especially because he’s able to control Horus. Bast is gone, but probably not forever. …Right!? They’ve still got problems, but at least Philip of Macedonia is there to save them! Oh, and Uncle Amos. But can they trust him?? Favorite scenes and favorite lines. Thanks for listening, and tune in next time for episode 138, where we’ll discuss The Red Pyramid chapters 31 and 32, as well as get you up to date on whatever Percy Jackson news might pop up. On Prophecy Radio episode #136, Karen and Kristen continue their discussion of The Red Pyramid with chapters 27 and 28! They also talk about their new obsession with Lorcana and some small updates with Percy Jackson and the Olympians on Disney+. New episodes of Prophecy Radio will air every other week. All discussions are PG-13. News and Updates (00:05:42) We take a few minutes to talk about how much we love Lorcana. Did you see the new Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 poster? We’re pretty sure this is Charybdis. We love the vibe and think it meshes very well with what we’ve seen in season 1. Liam has been putting in the work at Screenrant, giving us some good stuff to talk about while we wait for more season 2 information! Aryan talks about his experience filming season 2. We’re super excited to see Grover’s growth this year! We also learn when Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3 starts filming. What can we expect from Comic-Con this year? The Red Pyramid discussion (00:13:48) This week’s chapters felt like they had a little more forward motion. Let’s kick this off with our Red Pyramid chapter 27 discussion! We really love being in Sadie’s POV! Which of the Kane siblings do you relate to most? YOU MUSTN’T READ FROM THE BOOK! Once again we are convinced this book would look so amazing on screen. We discuss how “conflicting stories can be equally true” and how difficult that is to accept. Sadie kind of doesn’t have a choice about accepting what’s going on around her. Why does Sadie feel guilty about Isis’ role in Set’s downfall but is also adamant that she’s a totally separate person!? We talk about demons in Egyptian mythology. What do we think of Shezmu?? Why did Carter run for the Book of the Dead? Wait, HOW do they make the wine of the dead?? Does Shezmu being the Lord of the Perfume actually make sense?? What ARE secret names, exactly? There are SO many comparisons between Egyptian and Greek mythology. It’s time for our favorite lines and favorite moments! And now we’re going to move onto Red Pyramid chapter 28. Toilet humor + the apocalypse = Rick Riordan’s signature style Turns out a lake of fire smells about as bad as you’d think. We were SO HAPPY to see Iskandar again. Was Iskandar’s heart in the right place when he banned the hosting of gods? It’s so nice when an adult can admit they’re wrong!! Did Sadie and Carter’s parents know what they were doing when they got married and had kids? Was this the Ma’at making sure the universe remained balanced? Were you surprised that Sadie formally forgave Iskandar? Why was this section in the Underworld so focused on Sadie? Is nobody worried about how they’re going to get back from the island in the middle of the lake of fire!? Carter is definitely a finger guns type of guy. Why are dogs so often connected to death and the Underworld? The dog is definitely Anubis and Sadie is definitely into him. And so are we. Baboon is a very efficient language. The fact that Anubis and Sadie are into each other is…complicated. Is there anyone who would turn down a hippodoodle!? Will Carter be angry that Sadie keeps leaving him behind? Anubis whips out the toilet paper to make a bench. He also kind of puts his foot in his mouth when he mentions her mother. The feather of truth is kind of intense and it is sure to lead to some interesting situations. There’s a reason Anubis is such a sad boy and it’s…yikes. He’s a lot like Hades, and Sadie says the ONE thing that could get him to hand over the feather. Would Sadie choose her father or the world? What are our favorite lines and favorite moments?? Thanks for listening, and tune in next time for episode 137, where we’ll discuss The Red Pyramid chapters 29 and 30, as well as get you up to date on whatever Percy Jackson news might pop up. On Prophecy Radio episode #135, Karen and Kristen keep chugging right along with The Red Pyramid by discussing chapters 25 and 26! They also talk about Graci Kim’s new release, Dreamslinger and check in on April’s spotlight on independent bookstores. New episodes of Prophecy Radio will air every other week. All discussions are PG-13. News and Updates (00:04:59) Graci Kim’s Dreamslinger is out now! Independent Bookstore day was fun. Kristen got a chance to check out a new store near her. We learn about an independent bookstore we want to visit in the UK someday. Columbus Book Festival has Roseanne A. Brown this year! Any upcoming book events near you? Let us know! Rick’s Bluesky account continues to delight. Deep cut deities are a fabulous way to learn more about Greek mythology. The Red Pyramid discussion (00:19:13) Diving in to The Red Pyramid chapter 25 Back in Carter’s POV! First we address Carter’s thoughts on his being forced to take lizard-shape. Then back to the plot… and Thoth. Giant pyramid arena shows that ancient cultures show up in modern cities and countries. Graceland was absolutely a test for both Sadie and Carter. Is that glow that the building gave off after Thoth tossed the ankh around the statue’s neck important?! Thoth doesn’t help them understand the painting, but the magic book he has a little guidance for. There is an incantation that will allow them to banish Set to the Duat where he will be contained for centuries. They will need to learn Set’s secret name and a Feather of Truth from the Land of Anubis. Khufu is gonna play guide. A wild riverboat appears! Favorite lines and favorite scenes! And now chapter 26 The Egyptian Queen has eyes painted that are moving, blinking, and looking for trouble. We discuss if that has something to do with mastheads on other ships. Bast is back! She introduces us to Captain Bloostained Blade, complete with human body and a double-bladed battle ax for a head. And the red specks on the edge of the blade are concerning… A boat you can summon once a year when you need it? Sign me up. Giving BSB their desination feels like telling a genie a wish. The last time Bast was on this boat, she was with Julius, and the kids’ mother had just died. Cats and serpents are mortal enemies, which explains Bast and Apophis. The Ma’at doesn’t like it when you insult order. That way lies chaos. Carter goes to bed and his ba immediately takes off. His ba gets to watch a crazy plane situation that Zia & Dejardins handle very skillfully. And a snow storm in Brooklyn. And finally a memory of what exactly Set did to Osiris, and what it means for Julius. Sadie wakes Carter. They have arrived at the First Cataract, aka The Land of the Dead. Favorite lines and favorite scenes! Feedback (01:12:46) A huge thanks to David Ludwig for his lobster roll advice! Kristen is excited to look for both hot and cold preparations while she is in Maine. On Prophecy Radio episode #134, Karen and Kristen return to The Red Pyramid with their discussion of chapters 23 and 24! They also talk about Rick Riordan’s love of high-quality boxes, as well as some minor Percy Jackson and the Olympians news. New episodes of Prophecy Radio will air every other week. All discussions are PG-13. News and Updates (00:07:24) Independent Bookstore Day is on April 26–go support your local shop if you can!! Did you catch Rick Riordan unboxing his Emmys? The Dad vibes are strong with this video! Jay Duplass will not return as Hades in Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2–but all is not lost. We love how much his kids love Percy Jackson, which means the likelihood of him coming back for Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3 is pretty high. We can’t remember if we discussed the Gray Sisters casting from D23 2024, but we’re doing it now! Where do we know Sandra Bernhard, Kristen Schaal, and Margaret Cho from? The Red Pyramid discussion (00:19:45) Let’s start with The Red Pyramid chapter 23. Sadie is human again! We find out how she did it. Nobody woke Carter for lunch, but that’s the least of his worries right now. Bast thinks Set might not be the one at the top of the food chain here, and that’s definitely cause for concern. It’s time to head to Memphis–and this time they’re not “borrowing” a car, though Bast still requires a convertible. There’s a lot of atmospheric description to this book, and we’re all for it. Baboons playing basketball is probably a good indication that a god is nearby. Carter is NOT great at basketball, but we find out why it’s so important to him. We love how hard Sadie is working to be kind to him about this. Finally, we get to meet Toth, the god of wisdom, as well as all of his ibis receptionists. Is it weird that the Greeks likened him to Hermes? Ah, yes, the importance of astrology and leechcraft. The way Thoth’s powers are portrayed was super interesting and makes you wonder how powerful he is. We get some important backstory about the relationship between Horus, Isis, Set, and Thoth. Thoth seems to be a bit of a contradiction–highly intelligent and yet not very observant. Knowing a creature’s actual name has such power, and we love this concept. How can Sadie hold a goddess at bay if she was also having trouble with her sense of self enough to struggle coming out of her kite form? Did we all feel on a spiritual level how much Thoth didn’t want to read his old work, or was that just us? Was this chapter too long and too full of information to really comprehend everything? Time for our favorite lines and favorite moments! Now it’s time to head to Graceland in The Red Pyramid chapter 24. Was Elvis a magician? All signs point to yes. Seriously, though, music really is magical. It must be so weird to be at Graceland with no tourists. STOP DESTROYING NATIONAL MONUMENTS. Karen really wants to know what type of lizard Carter was turned into. Sadie is SO resourceful, and we loved seeing how she defeated the magicians. This time, we DO know what kind of reptile is on the page–and it’s a big one! How did Sadie turn Carter back into a person? Was this just a test from Thoth? At least they fixed up Graceland before they left. Could the cat of Ra actually be Bast?? How does she feel about battling Apophis again? Favorite lines and favorite scenes! Thanks for listening, and tune in next time for episode 135, where we’ll discuss The Red Pyramid chapters 25 and 26, as well as get you up to date on whatever Percy Jackson news might be out there. On Prophecy Radio episode #133, Karen and Kristen refresh themselves on where they left off last with The Red Pyramid! They also talk about that HUGE Percy Jackson and the Olympians news. Season 3 here we come! New episodes of Prophecy Radio will air every other week. All discussions are PG-13. News and Updates (00:14:53) Sarah Dass is putting out another book with the Rick Riordan Presents imprint! It Lurks in the Night comes out this November (you can pre-order now!) The Target special edition of The Court of the Dead is available now for pre-order.  The Red Pyramid refresher course (00:36:01) Sadie (12) and Carter Kane (14) are siblings, but had to grow up apart. Their father, Julius, is allowed to bring Carter to visit Sadie for two days once a year. When they visit this time, some serious craziness ensues. The British Museum gets rocked by Julius, stirring up all kinds of Egyptian god-related chaos. Uncle Amos gets the kids safe as best he can, but it doesn't last long! The Kane family traces back to two very powerful royal lines. Demon Days start soon, and that is not some sale at Spirit Halloween. Sadie's cat, Muffin, is keeping a secret. If at first the House of Life isn't safe, why not try a different location. Iskandar and Desjardins are not created equal. Sadie and Carter learn a lot about their abilities while in the first Nome, even if they do get run out of there by a crazy leader who wants to kill them. Sadie has an audience with Nut, the sky goddess, who sends her to Tennessee. The Set animal is a scary dude, but Carter finds a loophole that should hold him. Carter sees a vision of what Set may be up to, but it turns out Set was watching right back. Feedback (00:55:44) A nice long email from Stephanie has us downright delighted by her comments and grateful for her fact-checking. On Prophecy Radio episode #132, Karen and Kristen discuss the final two chapters of Percy Jackson and the Chalice of the Gods! They also talk about the brand new Nico di Angelo novel, The Court of the Dead. New episodes of Prophecy Radio will air every other week. All discussions are PG-13. News and Updates (00:06:47) Karen’s officiating a wedding, which means you get this episode early! Leah won the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Performance by a Youth (for Percy Jackson)! A Touch of Blood by Sajni Patel is out now. The Court of the Dead: A Nico di Angelo Adventure releases in the US and the UK on September 25, 2023. We go through the synopsis and it sounds fantastic. Khadijah Khatib once again did the cover, and we’re obsessed with it! We look at the cover pretty closely and see if we can find any clues about the story. The Cosmopolitan interview with Rick and Mark about the new book is a lot of fun. We love that this was Mark’s idea and that they keep describing the book as “bonkers.” Will we see Bob and Small Bob again? Could there be a third Nico di Angelo book?? There IS a new character we can expect in Book 2. We also love the three words each of them use to describe this book. Check out Rick’s blog for a few more details. We go through all the special editions that Read Riordan announced on their Instagram. Are you planning on getting any of the special editions? Would you spring for more than one? Chalice of the Gods discussion (00:33:03) We kick off our discussion with Chalice of the Gods chapter 34. “Delete, Delete” is the best running joke. Did you remember when the spaghetti situation took place? Is Paul basically Rick? The art of the one-star review is something to be revered. Is Sally’s one-star review really a review that Rick got? We’re so interested in Sally’s book! What genre is it?? Callie once again shows up to share her opinions. The scene where Percy has to write his letter is SO FANTASTIC. We go looking for the recommendation letter we thought we remembered being in one of the special editions and get a surprise. As always, we get into our favorite lines and favorite scenes. Lastly, we jump into chapter 35, “Pretty Much the Best Good-Night Kiss Ever.” Percy gets Annabeth’s special smile! Annabeth is very chill about giving out her autograph. It’s so interesting that we learned something new about the cap. Annabeth is speechless over the fact that Athena has maybe, sort of, kind of accepted Percy as her boyfriend? We love visions of Percabeth’s future! Easy-queasy has a lot of potential. The “I love you” felt significant, but it’s not the first time they said it, right? The goodnight kiss through the Iris Message was SO CUTE. Favorite lines and favorite scenes! Feedback (00:00:00) There is no feedback this week! Thanks for listening, and tune in next time for episode 133, where we’ll review what we’ve already discussed in The Red Pyramid before we pick it back up again. Prophecy Radio episode #131 brings Karen and Kristen to discussing the penultimate two chapters of Percy Jackson and the Chalice of the Gods. They also highlight some upcoming YA/Middle Grade books from RRP authors and talk some exciting other news, too. New episodes of Prophecy Radio will air every other week. All discussions are PG-13. News and Updates (00:18:28) Check out this article about where Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 1 ranked on Disney+ last year! Karen compiled a list of current releases and upcoming releases from all of our favorite RRP authors. You can see that list here on Insta! While you’re on the Insta, make sure to check out all the Dreamslinger swag that Karen received after signing up on Graci Kim’s website a couple weeks ago! Chalice of the Gods discussion (00:24:55) Time to jump into chapter 32! Which is more upsetting: The gods treating their kids like pets or NOT BRINGING THEM LEFTOVERS?! Easy exit from Olympus Percy specifically mentions not telling anyone at camp about this, which explains why we never heard anything about this adventure before. Grover was the second-most stressed out he’s ever been. Grover offers to run Annabeth’s hat back to her so Percy can get to school ASAP. Godly parents can call you in late, too. We all love Paul Blofis. Poseidon keeps an eye on Percy… for better or for worse. It’s time to talk about our favorite lines and favorite moments from this chapter! And now its chapter 33 time! Eudora stops Percy on his way to class. She is not a Poseidon fan, but Percy talks her off the ledge. Do-it-yourself recommendation letters (AKA blank godly paper) are all the rage. She expects some credit for her work in Percy’s letter when he writes it. Blue jolly ranchers are the best, clearly. Percy hasn’t done the reading, but he’s still happy to be in class. It’s nice to have a moment to appreciate the mundane. Time for our favorite lines and favorite moments from this chapter. Feedback (00:54:34) Email from Caoimhe, who shared some pics of her ADORABLE pup with us! Prophecy Radio episode #130 sees Karen and Kristen discussing the next two chapters of Percy Jackson and the Chalice of the Gods. They also discuss Walker Scobell’s comments about the upcoming Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2. New episodes of Prophecy Radio will air every other week. All discussions are PG-13. News and Updates (00:09:14) We kick off the episode talking about our anticipation (or lack thereof) for the Super Bowl, plus our excitement for Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros. Have you ever listened to a graphic audio before? Do you have a spreadsheet for all the books you’re reading this year? Happy belated birthday to Walker Scobell! Filming for season 2 has officially wrapped, and we speculate about the possible release date. Walker won the Rising Star Award at the 2025 SCAD TVfest! Speaking with TV Insider, Walker says the beginning of Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 will start in a slightly different place from the book—but we’re not worried. We’re so ready for more action in season 2, and we’re excited to see what more they add to the show that isn’t in the books. Sometimes we forget how long it takes for Annabeth and Percy to actually get together. They have a looooong road ahead of them. Tyson is SO important to this series, and it sounds like Daniel Diemer has impressed Diehard Percy Jackson Fan Walker Scobell. We’re also excited there will be more practical sets, and we’re curious how the Volume will come into play this season. Could we see Director Walker Scobell some day!? Rick answered some questions on Goodreads recently, and he’s said Clarisse will have a sizeable role in season 2 and that Dior is bringing her A game! Chalice of the Gods discussion (00:22:05) Okay, let’s jump into Chalice of the Gods chapter 30. Where did we last leave Percy and where is he headed now? Percy takes in the sights as he heads toward the kitchen. Did we see the street-cleaning rhinoceros in the TV show? We’re obsessed with the fact that satyrs give botanical directions. Percy is smart to question why the gods have kitchens full of staff, and the reason makes SO MUCH SENSE. Did you catch the Ghostbusters reference!? It must be so uncomfortable to sweat Greek Fire. There was A LOT of detailed description in this chapter. How many of you knew what a conversation pit was? We play a pretty easy game of Two Truths and a Lie. It’s time to talk about our favorite lines and favorite moments from this chapter! Next up, Chalice of the Gods chapter 31. It might be cliché, but hiding under the pastry cart as his new BFF Barbara wheels him into the banquet hall works wonders. And in exchange, all Percy has to do is provide Barbara with an Annabeth Chase meet-and-greet opportunity. Do nymphs and dryads see demigods as celebrities? What’s scarier—facing down a lion or Percy’s future mother-in-law? Really, Athena spotting him is best-case scenario because any of the others might’ve caused trouble for Percy. We appreciate that Rick doesn’t shy away from how gross Zeus actually is. Imagine what TOO MUCH praise would mean to Ganymede? Did you figure out what a demi-bag was? Did we want more of a scene in the banquet? Would it have worked out for Percy if there was more of a confrontation? Sometimes Percy is a little lucky! Time for our favorite lines and favorite moments from this chapter. Feedback (00:57:06) Solomon wonders if Annabeth could give Percy his third quest. It’s an interesting question, and we have a theory of our own! Thanks for listening, and tune in next time for episode 131, where we’ll discuss the latest Percy Jackson news, along with Chalice of the Gods chapters 32 and 33. Prophecy Radio episode #129 brings Karen and Kristen back together again to discuss the next two chapters of Percy Jackson and the Chalice of the Gods. They also dip into a quick look at the brand new Percy Jackson cookbook, full of some truly unique recipes. New episodes of Prophecy Radio will air every other week. All discussions are PG-13. News and Updates (00:06:59) Check out this fun Reel for a better glimpse at the PJO premiere last year Check out Graci Kim's website to sign up for the Dreamslinger league. Karen got a copy of the  Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Official Cookbook as a late Christmas present. It's a perfect gift for Percy Jackson fans, especially if they like to throw parties for premiere weeks or in celebration of new books. Chalice of the Gods discussion (00:21:21) Let's start off our Chalice of the Gods discussion with chapter 28, "It Starts Raining Toys" Gary is more than a little shell-shocked at Percy's choices. Percy takes a moment to reflect on his mom's parents, and what it would be like if they had survived. Gary wants to know why Percy offered hugs instead of muscle. We are grateful that Gary has agreed that Percy has more life to live. Gary has one more thing to ask Percy before he excuses himself in a poof! Not everyone is like the gods, and Percy gives Gary hope. Annabeth and Grover congratulate Percy on his brilliant gamble. A hula hoop falls from the sky, which means Ganymede has a message for our trio. Zeus has invited his mom over, which means, the chalice needs to find its way home... now. Our favorite lines and moments We also get to discuss Chalice of the Gods chapter 29, "I Teeter on the Precipice of Mount Brunch" Percy hates brunch. Like HATES it. What the heck do gods eat for brunch, anyway? No, Percy cannot FEDEx the chalice back to Ganymede. Major bummer. Annabeth heads to school, while Percy and Grover head to the Empire State Building. Grover knows someone who can get them into the brunch, as long as they find the side door to the Olympus kitchens. Percy tries on Annabeth's Yankees cap of invisibility. It makes him feel fuzzy and weird. We brainstorm better names for a satyr dating app. Satyr-er leave a bit to be desired. Grover shakes his woolmaker to distract the Empire State security guards so Percy can sneak onto the elevator. Percy worries the chalice may have a "one ring" thing going on. Our favorite lines and moments Feedback (00:53:35) Maria Steinmetz reached out on Instagram to let us know she signed up for a class with Roshani Chokshi. We hope its as amazing as we imagine! Prophecy Radio episode #128 brings Karen and Kristen back together again to discuss the next two chapters of Percy Jackson and the Chalice of the Gods. They also discuss a couple small snippets of news before diving into a fun fatal flaw quiz. Finally, they discuss chapters 26 and 27 of Chalice of the Gods. New episodes of Prophecy Radio will air every other week. All discussions are PG-13. News and Updates (00:08:50) Make sure you’re keeping up with the @PercySeries Instagram for some fun posts! Have you gotten Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Official Cookbook yet? Have you taken the Camp Half-Pod fatal flaw quiz yet? We had a great time taking it, but maybe not such a great time being read for filth by our results. Since we were split on some of our answers, we decided to take it a second time to see if our results changed! Chalice of the Gods discussion (00:32:26) Let’s start off our Chalice of the Gods discussion with chapter 26, “I Negotiate the Terms of My Disintegration.” It’s time to wrestle a god! If we had a nickel every time we heard that one… Really, Percy has no good choice here. On the plus side, we love how introspective Percy is in this book. (Thanks, Mark!) We totally understand why the gods are superfans of Geras. There are so many amazing quotes in this chapter. Percy has been through this a time or two, so he knows to clarify the terms of the deal. He also has conditions! Very important conditions. Annabeth is the brains of this operation. And Grover is the doughnut man. “I love you…but you’re not Hercules.” Why is it SO FUNNY that Percy hates Hercules so much? It’s really interesting that Percy considers giving up on his quest but just can’t do it. And therein lies his fatal flaw. Thank goodness for plot armor! Grover’s offer of doughnuts almostttt changes Geras’ mind. Geras is pretty quick for an old guy! As always, we discuss our favorite lines and favorite moments. Now it’s time to get into chapter 27, “My Dying Words Are Super Embarrassing.” The fight has begun! Percy barely got away from Geras’ first move. We love the comments from the peanut gallery. Percy’s got some great initial ideas for how to defeat old age. Eat your fiber! Why didn’t Percy’s water powers work on Geras? Once again, we see what kind of connection Percy and Annabeth have—and we are LIVING for it! Geras really isn’t someone you want to mess with. The dude is STRONG. Why does Rick have to bring up Jason so casually!? There’s a reason we still read Rick Riordan books—not just for the humor but also because of the deeper meanings. We lament about our age a little bit, but in reality, we still feel in development and not like a real person—and that’s okay! Let’s not forget about our favorite lines and favorite moments. Feedback (01:10:16) Solomon writes in with a suggestion for a new board game we might enjoy. Check out our Spotify playlists if you’re looking for certain episodes that correlate with certain chapter discussions. Prophecy Radio episode #127 finds Karen and Kristen back to discuss the next two chapters of Percy Jackson and the Chalice of the Gods. We catch up on the board games we’ve played and loved recently (and tell a traumatic board game memory) before discussing the latest news from Rick Riordan and Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Finally, we discuss chapters 24 and 25 of Chalice of the Gods. New episodes of Prophecy Radio will air every other week. All discussions are PG-13. News and Updates (00:09:37) We decide not to worry about the D23 trailer since it has so little new footage for Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2. We are ready and waiting for a real Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 trailer, though. We do have some minor casting announcements to talk about. You can take a look at all the info on the minor casting right here. Timothy Simons as Tantalus, who keeps an eye on activities in Chiron’s absence. Kevin Chacon has been recast as Chris Rodriguez We take issue with the article calling him a villain, though. Rosemarie DeWitt will be our C.C. (AKA Circe) Who is not to be confused with Calypso or any other water-related C-named goddesses Aleks Paunovic will be our Polyphemus, although we’re not sure to what degree. If they had only cast him for his voice, they would have mentioned that in the announcement, right? Last, but certainly not least, we have our new non-book character played by Beatrice Kitsos … or is she?! Chalice of the Gods discussion (00:29:00) Chapter 24 starts with Percy waking up from a good old regular dream where all the gods were pregnant. And of course it was Annabeth sneaking in his window that woke him. She has a lot to tell him about what she learned about concetrated nectar from Juniper. Is this book influencing the show? Or is the show influencing this book? Percy gave good advice to Grover. Sally would not have a problem with Annabeth in Percy’s room. She’d probably just make tea. Trusting moms are some of the best parts of supernatural-being-living-in-a-human-world stories. Annabeth Chase: Scheduler Extraordinaire! We share our favorite lines and moments. Time for chapter 25! And its a big one. Doughnuts to start the day, then time to plug noses and get to work. The menthol to koala/eucalyptus thing took a minute to process. Our trio gets split up by the drops of nectar. Of course Percy is in trouble the minute he’s off on his own. Time to meet Gary! He has a very specific look, and its not a flattering one. The god of old age stole the chalice that stops people from getting old. It goes against the natural order of things. Since Percy is the only human to turn down immortality, Geras wanted to give him a chance to understand why this god would steal from Ganymede. Karen reminds us of that reference last week that makes a lot more sense now that we’re in the know. Gary is not happy with Percy’s reaction and is totally ready to turn him to gravedust. Percy wants to see if there’s a deal to be struck. The challenge Geras throws down is not exactly what you would expect… Time to close things out with more favorite lines and favorite moments! Feedback No feedback this week, but we look forward to hearing all your board game recs for next week’s episode! Thanks for listening, and tune in next time for episode 128, where we’ll discuss the latest Percy Jackson news, along with Chalice of the Gods chapters 26 & 27. Prophecy Radio episode #126 finds Karen and Kristen back for a third week in a row (even though it’s a little behind schedule). We share what we’ve been watching lately before discussing the latest news from Rick Riordan and Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Finally, we discuss chapters 22 and 23 of Chalice of the Gods. New episodes of Prophecy Radio will air every other week. All discussions are PG-13. News and Updates (00:06:51) The 3rd Annual Children’s & Family Emmy Nominees are out, and Percy Jackson and the Olympians scored a bunch of them! Isn’t it exciting that Leah Jeffries has been nominated for an Emmy!? What exactly is a show open? They’ve got a great chance of getting an award for set dressing. It’s great to see a nomination for stunt coordination! Out of all the nominees, Percy Jackson and the Olympians is definitely one of the biggest and most popular shows. Here’s the Variety article Kristen was referencing. In case you missed it like we did, we discuss the November blog update on Rick’s website. Wrath of the Triple Goddess by Rick Riordan, Pahua and the Dragon’s Secret by Lori M. Lee, and The Dark Becomes Her by Judy I. Lin are all available now. A Touch of Blood, the Drop of Venom companion novel, by Sajni Patel is out on February 25 We’re also getting a new Nico and Will novel! What could Book 2 possibly be about?? We have a few ideas. There will be another Senior Year Adventure Book, but it won’t be out in 2025. We try to figure out a timeline for when his next books will be coming out. We’re so excited he said Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 is “better, bigger, funnier, faster and wilder” than the first season. What other adaptations is Rick working on at the moment? Walker has gotten SO BIG in the last year or so. Chalice of the Gods discussion (00:31:05) Let’s kick off our Chalice of the Gods discussion with chapter 22 today. We love a woman who hyphenates her last name. Annabeth taking up a culinary class and building famous landmarks out of cake makes SO MUCH SENSE. Karen has a theory as to why Annabeth chose to make green and purple cupcakes. Percy is a little shocked, but he takes Sally’s surprise news very well and is super happy for his mom. We discuss whether Sally is relieved that her second child is not a demi-god. It’s so cute that Percy wants to stick around to see his sibling grow up. We make sure to do our favorite lines and favorite moments. Next up is Chalice of the Gods chapter 23! Ho-Ho-Kus is a real place in New Jersey with a trade school. Is Rick making a statement on high school guidance counselors and how useless they are!? Turns out everyone wants updates from Percy today. We love all the timely references in this book and a lot of Rick’s other works. Percy visits the library even though he really doesn’t want to. Favorite lines and moments, as always! The reason Percy wants to help Ganymede is really sweet, actually. Feedback (00:58:40) Wings of Legends left us some comments on Spotify. Kyle left us an email back in March that we’re just getting to, but it was WELL worth the wait because he had an awesome idea for a discussion. Thanks for listening, and tune in next time for episode 127, where we’ll discuss the latest Percy Jackson news, along with Chalice of the Gods chapters 24 & 25. This episode’s hosts are: Karen and Kristen Each episode, Prophecy Radio‘s hosts will discuss any official news coming out of Camp Half-Blood before doing a chapter by chapter reread of Percy Jackson or one of Rick Riordan’s other series. Prophecy Radio episode #125 sees Karen and Kristen back on our usual path, including a few detours while we talk about our excitement over the Wicked movie in theaters as well as the Greek-themed updates to Disney Dreamlight Valley courtesy of the expansion pass. We do also talk about chapter 21 of Chalice of the Gods, as well as continuing to talk about our future and plans for the podcast. As of right now, new episodes of Prophecy Radio will air every other week, and we’ll still keep our discussions PG-13. We are so excited to talk about these casting choices! (00:09:50) We are so proud of ourselves for getting our act together and kicking off our new schedule right away! Daniel Diemer will be bringing Tyson to the screen! Andra Day is absolute perfect embodiment of Athena (we’re both in awe). Tamara Smart absolutely looks the part of Thalia Grace, and we can’t wait to see how she chooses to play Thalia. Lance Reddick’s replacement for Zeus is… We will definitely get at least one episode of season 2 in 2025! Chalice of the Gods refresher (00:26:36) Percy needs to complete 3 quests to get letters so he can join Annabeth at New Rome University. Ganymede, Zeus’ cupbearer, to finds the chalice of the gods. He suspects Hebe and Iris. They find a chalice-less Hebe (and her flock of chickens) at her arcade, and after a little creative trickery by Annabeth, our trio learns where they might find Iris. Meet Blanche, daughter of Iris, who loves all things monochrome and death. She promises to introduce them to her mother if Grover poses for some photos. Iris is desperate for her child’s approval, so she listens to our favorite trio, and tells them she has a hunch. She won’t share that hunch, however, unless our trio does a little quest for her first. While questing, Annabeth befriends a river, Percy almost drowns, Grover gets chased by snakes. Percy gives us his (arguably) most romantic moment yet, and saves himself from mortal peril. Once they return Iris’ staff to her, clean as a whistle, she lets them know the chalice is in Greenwich in the possession of someone named Gary, and hands them a vial of pure nectar to help in locating the famous drinking vessel. Chalice of the Gods discussion (00:34:26) Grover arrives to Percy’s swim meet in some very specific regalia. Percy is forced to look at Blanche’s dreary photos of Grover appearing dead amongst very dead-looking nature. Grover had planned to give one of these photos to Juniper for her Bloom Day present, but she didn’t react well to the repeated mentioning of Blanche. Percy advises that Grover admit his stupidity in this moment, and apologize to Juniper. Percy notes that, next to the Greek gods, he’s possibly the worst person to give relationship advice. Grover asked the cloud nymphs about Greenwich village, scoping out the scene before they go adventuring there, and they admit to some weird energy around Washington Square Park. While getting Juniper’s Bloom Day present right is important, Grover is more concerned with how things are going to work once Percy and Annabeth run off to New Rome University. Percy reassures our favorite satyr that they need him as much as he needs them. They couldn’t survive without Grover in their lives. Favorite lines and favorite moments. Feedback! Thank you so much to everyone for all the kinds words on our return. It really means the world to us. Thanks for listening, and tune in next time for episode 126, where we’ll discuss the big news we missed while we were away, along with Chalice of the Gods chapters 22 & 23. Prophecy Radio episode #124 sees Karen and Kristen returning after an accidental seven-month hiatus. That wasn’t supposed happen, but it did, so we discuss how and why and what’s been going on with us. (Shout-out to all the people who checked in on us—thank you!). We also talk about our future plans for the podcast and what you can expect from us going forward. As of right now, new episodes of Prophecy Radio will air every other week, and we’ll still keep our discussions PG-13. Where the hell have you been, loca? (00:02:16) Yeah, that wasn’t supposed to happen, and we apologize to everyone we ghosted. Kristen has a MAJOR life update to share with you all. Karen’s been struggling with her mental health this year (but she’s actively working on it!). Burnout is REAL. It’s important to take care of yourself. We’re kind of done with the hustle, to be honest. This all sounds bad, but it’s actually not. We’re choosing a healthier alternative for ourselves, and we hope you’ll come along for the ride. Road Map of the Future (00:13:14) First and foremost, we want this podcast to be FUN and to be a safe space for people in these troubling times. We also really want to finish what we started with the books we were discussing. We’ll be putting out a new episode every two weeks, and they’ll be about an hour long. We’ll still discuss the news, but it’ll only be from official sources. If you’re looking for more up-to-date information, there are a lot of other incredible podcasts out there! We’ll always be here for the Elder Percy Jackson fans. Right now, we’re focusing on Instagram for our socials (and our emails will always be open). We plan on finishing both Chalice of the Gods and The Red Pyramid before reassessing our next moves. We still want to cover Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 when it comes out. Did you miss us? Are we slaying? Do we still have the rizz? Thanks for listening, and tune in next time for episode 125, where we’ll discuss the big news we missed while we were away, along with Chalice of the Gods chapter 21.
