💜 Love the stories you tell Slater!
Trigger warning well placed, this is TERRIFYING. I'm so scared for this poor girl.
I love the production jumping in! I feel your energy bounces much more (and their POV's are interesting 😌)
I had a patient like this. 19 YO who was just crazy out of his mind.. Schizophrenia is SCARY and unpredictable. He was actually really sweet when he made sense, and really sad in the rare moments when he was lucid.
It stood out to me that you slater thought the mom abandoning was the main reason for the sex addiction..? Sounds logical, but also- that child sounds so f*d up, this sounds like a classic 'it's not always mom's fault'
I'm listening hilly billy in no particular order, I've been through more than half of the episodes including cannibals, rapists, children being tortured for years.. This episode, I think, shocked me the most. I need to curl up in a ball for a while.
I love this show! You are incredibly articulate, thorough, fun, interesting, thoughtful, and real. I am a fanatic true crime fan, I listen to them all, this is the best. Of course, because I not a criminal, sometimes I'm creeped out, grossed out, but I am curious about the spectrum of behavior. You and Tank are FABULOUS. Gonna miss him!
nooo!!! 😭😭😭 Tank! glad he's taking care of himself and doing what's best for him, but damn he'll be missed.
FABULOUS, BRILLIANT, FASCINATING! You present it with compassion, depth, and I learn something new every episode. Thank you for your great work. I'm hooked and tell everyone about it!
release the tension from your nether regions
I don't know if you'll ever see this comment from this app... but I cannot begin to express how meaningful it is to me as someone with complex PTSD and as a survivor of prolonged SA trauma that you have such respect and kindness to the victims... and I'm sure I'm not alone. Thank you so much.
I would love to meet you guys. But there's no way in hell you would ever come to my area in NH
I watched “the frozen ground” straight after listening to this 2 part case. I believe it’s told from Cindy’s point of view and has a tribute to the victims at the end. The details in this movie were so good just like this podcast. I’m so glad I watched the movie after listening here. It gives you a better understanding and visualisation of what really happened
wow ! did I just listen for 40 minutes to a podcast about a rug... I really got to clean out my podcast subscriptions. lol.
You didn't lik at ask the info that was disallowed at trial. Beata did indeed have Munchausen by Proxy. She offed herself right when she was supposed to face charges. Sally Smith was a good dr. Finally, the reason Maya got better is because she was never sick. The only illness she had, she was told by Beata to enhance her symptoms so that the doctors saw the pain; in the meantime, MBP proxies learn to exacerbate symptoms to appease their caretakers. Maya never had CRPS. Beata had MBP.

I have listened to every episode until this last one about killing cats. I was traumatized by the documentary and just couldn't bring myself to listen. sorry guys.
Yes!!!! So glad you're covering Gator! My first deck was a Vision Gator. What an egotistical, murderous prick, though. He would've been a bigger name than Tony Hawk if he could've remained sober for a hot minute.
Great episode! We were talking about Kim Jong Nam just one hour before you released this!
