Welcome to Pure Nonsense! This podcast may not be about anything in particular, though I can promise an interesting time and a wide range of opinions on only the best and most random things in life.

It's been a long time since I've uploaded and I think I'm finally ready to stay consistent with this (hopefully). Today's episode is a ramble session about fantasy books, mini dresses, work-life balance, and pointless celebrity drama that no one really cares about except everyone cares about it.
It's been 5 months since I recorded my last episode and there are a lot of things that I've completely changed my opinion on. After turning 24 earlier this year, something switched in my brain and I did a complete 180 and decided to take back a lot of my old opinions on things like pop culture, fashion, education, and friendships.
Today's episode goes into the idea of second chances and personal boundaries. When it is appropriate (or maybe even necessary) to turn the other cheek? When is it necessary to put your foot down and remove yourself from a situation? Setting personal boundaries is very important and there are some situations where that line may be crossed a little too much and you just have to get out of the situation.
Yes, I have road rage

Yes, I have road rage

2023-05-2546:01

Today's episode goes over a handful of topics that have been popping into my head over the past couple of weeks. From sitting on a patio in the Summer to road rage to Halloween, I really don't know how to categorize this episode which is honestly the best kind of episode in my opinion.
Business Red Flags

Business Red Flags

2023-05-1839:00

Yes, this episode is very similar to last week's in that we're talking about red flags again. However, this episode is all about business red flags which, in my opinion, are very different than relationship red flags. These can either be things that you notice other business owners doing, things that customers do or say, or even things that you're currently doing that may be hurting you more than you think. I am by no means an expert when it comes to business, but I do love discussing different aspects of the business world and how to go about certain situations (or how not to).
Relationship Red Flags

Relationship Red Flags

Everyone has a toxic ex. If you don't, then you know someone that does and you know how awful it can be. Red flags are something that we all know too well and that, while we're experiencing them, we might be completely blinded by love to even recognize them until we're finally out of the relationship. That being said, I wanted to go over a list of some of the red flags that I have experienced in the past and some that you should keep an eye out for in the future. If you have a toxic ex (or multiple) that has done these things to you, then let's laugh about it together. If you don't, then maybe I can help you avoid them at all costs in the future.
Irrational Fears

Irrational Fears

2023-04-2732:02

In today's episode, I go over a handful of my "irrational fears" that I honestly don't think are irrational. Sometimes, when you tell people what you're afraid of, they can make fun of you, or make you feel like you're being ridiculous. That being said, I think it's completely okay to be afraid of certain things and that's why I wanted to do a mini deep dive into some of my personal fears and maybe laugh at myself a little bit.
Burnout

Burnout

2023-04-2044:04

In today's episode, I go over the general feeling of burnout and how I deal with getting myself out of a funk. Even when everything in life is going great, there are plenty of times where I don't even want to lift a pencil, let alone work the entire day. That being said, there are a few things that I can do that will help lift me up and make me feel like I'm ready to be more productive which is something that I think is necessary from time to time.
SUMMER TIME

SUMMER TIME

2023-04-0630:10

Personally, I think that everything is better when the weather is warm. In today's episode, I go over a little list that I made of just some of the reasons why I think Spring and Summer are the best months and why you should be as excited about the new seasons as I am.
Most of us have heard the whole, "college is the best four years of your life!!!", speech from so many people. In today's episode, I go over some of my opinions on why I think college is definitely an amazing time, but is it truly the best four years that you'll ever experience? Whether you're about to start college, already graduated, or even if you decided not to go at all, I feel that this is an interesting (and maybe controversial?) topic throughout a lot of people's lives.
Stop Complaining

Stop Complaining

2023-03-2356:52

Some people really like to complain about almost everything. I've gotten to the point in my life where, when I hear someone complaining about the same things over and over again, I can't help but to think that they're just doing it to themselves. At some point, you have to realize that your life (and everything that happens throughout it) is in your control and no one else's. Today's episode is a little deep dive on how to improve the quality of your life by focusing on only what you're doing. Stop comparing yourself to other people and other things, stop worrying about things that are out of your control, and start romanticizing the smaller things in life; especially when you're feeling down.
Deinfluencing

Deinfluencing

2023-03-1647:02

Today's episode goes into the whole "deinfluencing" trend that has been going around social media recently. I compiled a little list of the different things that I feel a lot of people have been influenced into buying when the products themselves really are not that necessary.
Life in your twenties can sometimes be confusing and is most definitely different than how your life used to be just five years ago. With that, I feel that a majority of that difference comes from your friendships. It's completely normal to have fading friendships as you go through life and, even though that can be a hard pill to swallow, it's important to realize that it's perfectly okay and, honestly, inevitable.Today's episode is a little deep dive into my personal mindset behind friendships in your twenties and how I've started to perceive life in general as I've grown up. Whether you agree or disagree with my opinions, it's important to understand that some things are just out of your control.
Conspiracy Theories

Conspiracy Theories

2023-03-0241:43

Conspiracy theories have always interested me because some of them are absolutely possible in my mind but then others just sound so ridiculous that they're laughable. That being said, I wanted to go over a list of some conspiracy theories that are out there and give you an explanation on whether or not I believe in them and why. Just a fair warning, I do go into detail on aliens so you should be prepared.
Hosting 101

Hosting 101

2023-02-2342:17

Today's episode goes into detail on what to do and what not to do when you're hosting a group of people. We all have stories of bad parties that we've been to and maybe even parties that we've hosted ourselves that just didn't go the way we wanted them to. From stocking your bathroom with a plunger to making sure that the night doesn't end in a fight, it might be important to start planning ahead when you want to have people over.
In today's episode, I discussed how to have a decent work-life balance and how to not beat yourself up during those lazy days that we all have from time to time. Whether you work for yourself or if you have a strict manager that you have to report to, it's important to set time aside just for you. It's also important to realize that everything you see on social media probably isn't actually true.
The History of Weddings

The History of Weddings

2023-01-2401:02:37

Since working in the wedding industry, I have been introduced to so many fun wedding traditions that I never really questioned or wondered about in the past. That being said, I recently became curious as to why some of the typical wedding traditions that we see today (bridesmaids and groomsmen, the white wedding dress, wedding cakes, etc.) were created in the first place. When did they start? What do they truly mean? Let me tell you, some of the reasons behind these traditions are either hilarious or just flat out barbaric.
Random daily thoughts

Random daily thoughts

2023-01-1057:58

Talking about my most random daily thoughts is something that I enjoy doing because I know that they might be things that other people are thinking but that they just don't want to say out loud. For me, I love listening to others rant about whatever is going on in their head and I think it's nice to be able to get your thoughts out in the open, even if you are just saying them to yourself. In today's episode, I go over a handful of things that may annoy me, things that I can't stop thinking about, things that I'm looking forward to, and even a few changes that I want to make in my daily routine.
Resolutions

Resolutions

2022-12-2848:08

I've never been big on creating resolutions lists for the new year, but, if I'm being honest, writing out the things that you want to change, things that you want to try, or even things that you want to keep doing the same is a great way to set yourself up for a fun start to the new year. My resolutions aren't anything too deep but they are fun to talk about and maybe it will get you thinking about what you want to do in 2023.
Join me for part 2 of my unpopular opinions where I talk about the most random things that I either love or hate. Honestly, some of these might not be that unpopular but they're things that I frequently think about on a day to day basis (kinda).
