In today’s PEP talk, I discuss a newfound conclusion I have come to that's not exactly popular... hard work does NOT guarantee success. However, I think this mindset comes from a more positive place than expected. I hope this mindset and the reasons why we talk about this idea make sense. The idea may not initial provide comfort, but I hope by the end of the episode you understand more about why this mindset may be a more protective thing than what's expected.  Support/contact info:  Patreon (EXCLUSIVE UPDATES!): https://www.patreon.com/brileycasanova  PayPal: paypal.me/BrileyCasanova  Venmo (If you'd like to donate to my business directly): @BrileyCasanova  Instagram: @MentalCoachBriley  Twitter: @MentalCoachBri  Schedule a free consultation with me: https://completeperformancecoaching.com/meet-coach-briley/  E-mail: briley@completeperformancecoaching.com  Facebook Page: fb.me/MentalCoachBriley  YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYQy2sauQjtA8E0C_F3nrHQ  ***DISCLAIMER: Please note that I do not claim to be a Psychologist, Psychiatrist or have the ability to diagnose anyone with any mental health or psychological disorders. In today’s PEP talk, I follow up my last episode with things that I did not learn as a collegiate athlete. For those listening, my goal is for you to be a better collegiate athlete than I was. While I learned a great deal of things as a college athlete, I think there were some things that were missing from what I expected to learn during that time in my life. While I understood some of these topics on a surface level, the depth of what I was looking for didn’t satisfy me. Regardless, this episode is shared with the intention of expressing personal experiences, sharing some lessons, and meant with positive intent to prepare athletes better than I was prepared. Hopefully, this episode will provide guidance, promote better preparedness and share something productive.
