We're back! Our long national nightmare is over, technical difficulties are no more and PMIC has published an episode! This week on the pod, Mat Fimbres and Sean Sproat discuss Matt Crocker's hiring as US Soccer Federation's newest Sporting Director, bottom of the barrel EPL teams are limping to the finish line, MLS match week nine review, and US Open Cup is in full swing. Enjoy!
Great News! Sean and Mat are back this week! Not So Great News! MLS still thinks it's 2016. The league has decided to abandon the Liga MX vs MLS All-Star game format and has chosen to host Arsenal from the Premier League. Stop me if you've heard this before because this is the same opponent the league used seven years ago. On this week's show, the duo give their opinions on this decision, they address some USMNT managerial rumors, and they breakdown the action from MLS Matchweek 4.
That's right, Put Me In Coach is under new management (for one episode). Adam Freeman and Kenny Hutton from the Ride The Pine podcast have taken over the show and they are here to celebrate 314 Day in all it's glory. The duo recap the amazing start to the MLS season that St Louis CITY sc has had, they offend Canadians everywhere with their attempts to mimic a French Canadian accent, and they discuss the new reporting's regarding Claudio and Danielle Reyna's masterclass on how to be helicopter parents. Welcome back to another episode of Put Me In Coach... brought to you by the guys from Ride The Pine!
Two weeks of MLS matchups have come and gone and this season is already shaping up to be unlike any other. Four teams remain undefeated and one of those clubs is expansion side St Louis CITY SC! Sean and Mat are back to discuss all of the biggest matchups from week one and two, and they discuss everything from FC Dallas owning the LA Galaxy for seven straight meetings, St Louis shocking the league, Toronto FC showing their cumulative age, and CONCACAF Champions League is back and is as unpredictable as ever. Welcome back to Put Me In Coach!
This week's episode is all about the return of MLS! Mat, Chris, and Sean contend with the new MLS playoff format and dive head first into all 29 clubs that includes a breakdown of their offseason moves while trying to predict where each team will finish the upcoming season. The trio pick their MLS Cup, Leagues Cup, and US Open Cup winners, as well as who will take home the not so coveted last place Wooden Spoon. We're just days away from the 2023 season that is sure to be the craziest season yet!

Welcome back for episode 10! Before our next week big MLS season preview episode, Sean and Mat use this week to take a break from a lot of the headlines around the game and use it to share their backgrounds with soccer and how they grew to love the sport and display their fandoms. The duo does set aside some time though to discuss Leeds to Southampton (news broke on that after recording) and the latest round of Champions League matches. Make sure to rate and review the show on your preferred podcast platform and follow us on Twitter @PutMeInCoachPod. Enjoy the show!
That's right, Manchester City have been caught dealing under the table and it's the biggest story in the world of soccer. Mat and Sean are back to break down the whole saga, what, if anything will come of it, and what it means for other big spenders around the Premier League. The duo discuss Leeds United giving Jesse Marsh his walking papers just 37 matches into his coaching tenure, MLS is being bullied by Apple to change the playoff format, and this episode even sees the return of the Small Sided Scrimmage mini game. Don't forget to rate and review the show on your preferred podcast platform as well as follow the show on Twitter @PutMeInCoachPod.
It's the European Transfer Deadline show! Sean and Mat are back to discuss the flurry of moves that took place on the final day of the transfer window. Enzo Fernandez record deal to Chelsea, Keylor Navas leaves PSG for greener pastures at Nottingham Forrest, and Everton fail to make a single signing. Plus, the duo debut a new segment called Small Sided Scrimmage where they debate which TV shows would make the best five a side players. Welcome back all you soccer hooligans to Put Me In Coach!
That's right, along with every other player on the planet, we too have been signed by Chelsea FC! PMIC is back this week to discuss the January European window transfers (whether they're confirmed or not), the USMNT have a roster for the next slate of games that's full of first time call-ups, and MLS pre-season is in full swing. Welcome lovely listeners to another episode of Put Me In Coach!
Emergency pod! Mat and Sean are back with a mid-week episode because at the time of the previous recording, we didn't know what we know now. More information has come to light regarding the identity of the Berhalter Blackmailer and it is none other than *Drum Roll* the Reynas! More specifically, Danielle Reyna, wife of USMNT legend and current Austin FC Sporting Director Claudio Reyna. The boys take in all the drama while trying to make sense of the "he said she said" gossip that has dominated the soccer headlines for the past 24 hours. As a palate cleanser, the gents also pick their soccer Mt Rushmore (spoiler alert, Mat gets creative). Welcome to Put Me In Coach!
We're back, BABY! The gang was on holiday over Christmas and New Years and man did we miss a lot. Episode 6 of Put Me In Coach sees Mat and Sean react to all the soccer news from the past two weeks. Ronaldo signs with Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia for all of the money, Gregg Berhalter is being blackmailed by some neckbeard in their mom's basement, the MLS schedule is released while we impatiently wait for Apple to take more of our money, MLS free agency is alive and well, and the Premier League has returned! This is Put Me In Coach!
This week on Put Me In Coach, Chris is out serving his one match red card suspension so Mat and Sean are left to run the show. The inmates are running the asylum! We breakdown the Gio Reyna vs GGG drama that arose from the ashes of the USMNT World Cup exit, full breakdown of the upcoming World Cup final between Mbappe's France and Messi's Argentina, we wax poetic about Maradona and how his legacy is remembered, and we introduce the first ever Trash or Not Trash segment! Welcome to the Put Me In Coach Podcast!
Episode four begins with reflection while the boys mull over what went right and what went wrong for the USMNT in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and continues on with hesitant optimism. Where does the team go from here (Berhalter Out???) now that Copa America is in 2024 and hosting the World Cup in 2026 is on the horizon? Do we consider the round of 16 exit a success for this young squad? How about MLS Free Agency before the league kicks off it's 28th season in late February and can we predict the landing spots for the top players? All that plus more on Put Me In Coach!
The FIFA World Cup group stage is nearing a close and USMNT made it out safe and sound! The gang is back, along with special guest George Wilkes to discuss how the US pulled it off, how England can stay dominant moving forward, and how Japan has stolen the tournament and our hearts. We even finally answer the age old question; Is it called soccer or football? This is Put Me In Coach! The friendly neighborhood soccer podcast brought to you by three self-proclaimed Sunday league superstars!
The World Cup is here and despite being held in Qatar and in the winter, the familiar match drama is back once again. This week's episode breaks from our normal format to provide a more formal run down of all of the action from Qatar as each country played their first match. This includes the USMNT, who failed to secure three points and left the door open for England to play spoilers and to usher in an early tournament exit for the Red White and Blue.  Manchester United made some headlines (Spoiler alert; it rhymes with Bristiano Bronaldo) and MLS Free Agency has started to gain some movement. Welcome to Put Me In Coach. The friendly neighborhood soccer podcast brought to you by three self-proclaimed Sunday League Superstars!
The inaugural episode of the Put Me In Coach podcast is here and it's just in time for the 2022 World Cup! The gang breaks down the USMNT roster from goalkeeper to forward and everything in between + our bold predictions for the group(s) of death and who we think will lift the trophy after it's all said and done. Come for the USA Number 9 debate (WHY PEPI WHY) but stay for the searing hot takes (Glory to Canada). This is your friendly neighborhood soccer podcast brought to you by three self proclaimed Sunday League Superstars. USA! USA! USA!
