Description
"Q on queue" is about a lot of different things - life, inspiration, music, family, faith, and so much more. In each episode, you'll hear a lot about my own life and some of what's been on my mind. Most of the content for this show will center around my faith, my love for music, my career as an educator, and much more. My desire out of this podcast is that we can do life together. I might do a lot of talking, but I'm hoping it will be more of a conversation. Thanks for joining me on this journey with me, as I bring to you what I have - on queue. Send us a message Have you ever played Scrabble and felt the rush of laying down the perfect word? Maybe it was one that hit a triple word score or cleverly used up all your letters. There’s something deeply satisfying about seeing those points add up, especially when you’ve been staring at your tiles for what feels like forever not sure if you’re ever going to make up a word. Scrabble is more than just a test of vocabulary; it’s a game that shows the real power of words. What makes Scrabble...
Send us a message Have you ever asked yourself this question: "What am I really aiming for right now?" A lot of our energy can get spent chasing moments that feel exciting in the short term but don’t leave us with much lasting meaning. We stay busy, we keep moving, and yet sometimes we realize we’ve been firing off effort and attention in a hundred different directions without really locking in on what matters most. That’s what today’s episode is all about. Because life, in many ways, works ...
Send us a message There’s something so simple, yet so enjoyable about a game of Checkers. The game has a simple board of 64 squares, identical pieces facing each other, and only one real objective: keep moving forward. Unlike so many games out there, there are no complicated rules, no major power pieces, and no elaborate strategies. There are just simple moves, one after another, building toward victory. And yet, beneath that simplicity lies a powerful reflection of life itself. Every day, we...
Send us a message Every one of us is building something. We’re stacking experiences, relationships, responsibilities, dreams, and goals on top of one another. Some of these pieces feel rock-solid, while others feel a little risky. And just like a Jenga tower, sometimes we don’t fully recognize how much weight we’re carrying until the structure starts to sway. The question isn’t whether we’re building, because we all are. The question is whether we’re building on something strong enough ...
Send us a message Human beings are wired for connection. Research consistently shows that meaningful relationships are one of the biggest contributors to overall happiness and well-being. We are kicking off a new series for the summer based on one of my family's favorite pasttimes - BOARD GAMES. This week we kick off this new series with an episode called “Connect 4”. We’re going to be talking about four important messages related to connections in our lives. Jus...
Send us a message We often moments of sacred quiet - the times after a big moment has passed, when one season ends and another is set to begin - we try to force clarity or hurry into what’s next. But maybe this pause isn’t a problem to fix. Maybe it’s a gift. Maybe it’s here to invite us into something deeper. Life is built in the quiet transitions between those big moments. There are times all of us need to recalibrate - and find our true north again. Think of a compa...
Send us a message In this part 2 of the "What Now?" series, we talk about the power of "start again". Where and when do we find the courage to begin again - not because we have to prove something, but because we believe there’s something worth stepping into. Whether it’s a habit, a dream, a relationship, or just a shift in your mindset, there’s power in a restart. Not perfect, not polished—but real. Starting again doesn’t have to be dramatic or flashy. Sometimes it looks like pick...
Send us a message There’s something almost magical about a big moment - the energy, the build-up, the way everything aligns just right for a brief sliver of time. Whether it’s a holiday like Easter, a powerful worship service, a performance, or even just a milestone in life, we often walk away from those experiences feeling inspired, full, and maybe even changed. But then… the music fades. The crowd disperses and the excitement dies down. The lights go down, and you wake up the ne...
Send us a message Let’s be honest - shifting into Drive sounds exciting, but it’s not always the easiest thing to do. For a lot of us, it’s actually the hardest gear to live in. There’s something safe about being in Park. There’s something oddly comforting about looking backward in Reverse. But Drive? Drive requires action. Movement. Risk. It requires us to take our foot off the brake, step on the gas, and trust that we’re heading somewhere mean...
Send us a message In a car, park is there for a reason - you can’t leave a vehicle running indefinitely, and you can’t step out while the car is still rolling. You need a safe moment to pause, refuel, or make adjustments before continuing your journey. The same is true in life. There are seasons where stopping is wise, even essential. But here’s where I want to focus today - park isn’t meant to be a permanent state. Throughout this episode, we explore three different ...
Send us a message Have you ever felt like the past has a grip on you? Maybe you keep revisiting an old failure, convinced it still defines you. Or maybe you’ve been holding onto a past season of life so tightly that you struggle to embrace where you are now. We all have moments where we wonder what could have been, or we get stuck in the comfort of familiarity, even if it’s not serving us anymore. Why do some people stay stuck while others shift gears and move ahead? ...
Send us a message What impression do you leave on others? When someone meets you, whether for the first time or even in a brief encounter, what lingers in their mind after you're gone? Is it your kindness, your joy, your compassion - or maybe something less flattering, like impatience or indifference? What if we focused not on the impressions others leave on us, but on the ones we leave behind? More specifically, what if we considered how those impressions reflect God?...
Send us a message Have you ever wondered what God sees when He looks at you?" Maybe you zero in on your flaws - a wrinkle here, a scar there, or the way your hair never quite cooperates. Sometimes the reflection we see goes deeper, and our inner doubts creep in, whispering reminders of our mistakes, our shortcomings, and all the ways we feel we don’t measure up. It’s easy to get stuck viewing ourselves through a warped lens. In this second part of the "Impressions" series, ...
Send us a message What do people see when they look at you? What do you see when you look at yourself? And the biggest question of all - what does God see? In this 3-part podcast series, we’re diving into the power of impressions: the ones we give, the ones we receive, and the ones that shape our identity in ways we don’t always realize. It’s about learning to see beyond flaws, embracing potential, and finding unshakable worth through God’s eyes. If you’ve ever struggled with self-doub...
Send us a message How often do we get caught up in what might happen tomorrow or what happened yesterday, neglecting the beauty and purpose of today? God has invited us to live fully in the moment, trusting that He is at work in all three - our past, present, and future. Living in the present means embracing the moment we’re in. But being present doesn’t mean ignoring the past or the future. It means letting them inform our actions today without letting them control us. In ...
Send us a message Focusing on relationships is one of the most fulfilling ways to align your life with purpose and intention. Whether you’re strengthening existing bonds or cultivating new ones, intentionality in your relationships is key. Relationships thrive when nurtured with time, effort, and a genuine commitment to mutual growth and understanding. We all have tons of connections with other people. Whether it’s a colleague, people in our neighborhood, family members, fri...
Send us a message In the first of 3 episodes using FOCUS as our guide in the new year, we take a look at focusing on Priorities. Focusing on priorities is a powerful way to align your daily actions with your long-term goals and values. To effectively identify, set, and maintain focus on your priorities, it’s important to approach the process of setting your priorities with clarity and intentionality. It should be something you not just think about, but pray out, and take time to c...

Send us a message In the conclusion of the "Going to the Movies" series, we feature life lessons learned from the movie "The Truman Show". The film centers on the life of Truman Burbank (played by Jim Carrey), an ordinary man living an ideal suburban life, unaware that his entire world is an elaborate TV set. In this episode, we talk about real-life applications of what Truman and others experience in the film, including living a life of truth, the importance of community, steppin...
Send us a message In this third part of the "Going to the Movies" series, we talk about the 2009 film "Up In The Air". The story is centered on a traveling corporate "downsizer" named Ryan Bingham. His job is to travel the world helping companies essentially lay off people. His life philosophy is one about disconnecting and detaching, as his whole job is to tell people they’re being cut off. When thinking about his travels and lifestyle, he realizes that even though h...
